The Elven Cultivator

Chapter 287 - 260: What Kind of Joke is ’A Body’?

Chapter 287: Chapter 260: What Kind of Joke is ’A Body’?

Gareth almost thought he was seeing things.

He blinked hard, his vertical pupils fixed on the entrance.

But he still only saw three figures.

No follow-up. No reinforcements.

Right up until the spatial entrance closed, no new figures appeared.

Just three Elves.

’What trick is the coalition playing?’

Gareth’s first reaction was that the coalition was up to some sort of scheme.

But no matter how he racked his brain, he couldn’t imagine what kind of plot would involve sending three Elves into a spatial node.

’Three peak Legends?’

But in his perception, only two of the three Elves carried the aura of a Law. The other was at Golden Peak, at best.

Furthermore, the aura of Law on one of the Legendary Tier Elves wasn’t very dense. He was at the Pillarstone Legend level, at most.

With only a single peak Legendary Powerhouse, it would be impossible to conquer this spatial node.

’What on earth are these guys up to?’

For a moment, countless astonished and uncertain gazes focused on the three Elves.

Anton, seemingly oblivious, swept his gaze over the flight of dragons, his eyes finally landing on Gareth. He raised an eyebrow slightly. "Fifty-six Giant Dragons. Not bad. That’s quite a lot."

He glanced sideways at the Sword Pill hovering beside him, a faint smile touching the corner of his lips. "Looks like you’re in for a feast."

The Sword Pill trembled slightly, its profound gold light suddenly brightening as it let out a clear, short hum.

The hum carried an undisguised sense of longing and excitement.

Gareth’s gaze turned cold.

He didn’t know the specific meaning behind Anton’s words, but he could detect the casual, unconcerned ease in his tone.

It was the tone of someone who saw them as prey.

This Elf clearly didn’t take them seriously.

For the noble Giant Dragons, this was undoubtedly a great insult.

"Just three Elves think you can attack a spatial node?" A mocking glint flashed in Gareth’s vertical pupils. "Should I call you arrogant, or just insane?"

Anton paid him no mind. With a wave of his sleeve, a dark gold figure appeared out of thin air beside him.

Its body, a full three meters tall, was made entirely of dark gold. Its armor was imposing, and the jewel in the crown on its head glowed like a torch.

It was the Jia Shen Divine General.

Gareth’s gaze swept over it, and he sneered. "An Alchemy Puppet? Is this what you’re relying on?"

He wouldn’t even bat an eye at the mainstream Alchemy Puppets of the Dawn Continent, let alone a Legendary Golem left over from an ancient civilization.

To use something like this against them... a few hundred of them might make him take it a little more seriously.

’What a joke, just one of them?’

However, the moment the words left his mouth, the dark gold figure moved. It appeared before Gareth almost instantly, swinging its sword down.

Gareth’s pupils constricted.

Fortunately, he was already on guard. He immediately raised his right claw to meet the attack, pushing his Earth Elemental Power to its limit. A heavy, mountain-like, ochre halo layered itself around his claw, condensing into what looked like solid rock armor.

Under everyone’s watchful eyes, the Dark Gold Longsword clashed with the dragon’s claw.

A dull, heavy THUD exploded outward.

Gareth’s massive body was thrown backward as if struck head-on by a mountain, carving a trench over a thousand meters long into the ground.

Countless scales shattered and cracked, and scorching blood gushed from his wounds.

The battlefield fell deathly silent.

All the Giant Dragons and Dragon Race members stared blankly at the scene, their eyes filled with shock and disbelief.

A single strike.

A peak Legendary royal Giant Dragon had been sent flying and was even injured!

’Are we dreaming?’

’Is that still an Alchemy Puppet?’

’What in the world is that thing?’

For a moment, the Giant Dragons were so stunned by the scene that they even forgot to attack.

The Pure-blooded Dragon Race members turned pale, their hands trembling as they gripped their weapons.

The Great Elder and Romance were also shocked speechless.

They knew Anton had been refining a special Alchemy Puppet for years, but they never imagined it would be this powerful.

Injuring a peak Legendary royal Giant Dragon in a single blow!

’What does that even mean?’

’Even a Saint could only do so much, right?’

Looking at the dark gold figure standing silently before Gareth, Anton’s lips curved upward slightly as he nodded in satisfaction.

’The Jia Shen Divine General certainly didn’t disappoint me.’

’Its strength far surpasses a peak Legend.’

’You could say it stands at the very apex of the Legendary Tier.’

’Although it consumes a massive amount of energy with each use, its combat power is definitely worth it.’

"Damned Elf!"

Gareth’s furious and alarmed roar echoed across the battlefield.

His massive draconic body shot up from the ruins, and an aura as heavy as a mountain instantly enveloped the entire fleshy wilderness.

The ochre halo around Gareth’s body was even denser than before, almost solid. At the wounds torn open by the sword light, tiny tendrils of flesh slowly writhed, attempting to heal.

But it was futile.

The Jia Shen Divine General’s Sword Intent lingered inside him like countless invisible thorns, preventing his injuries from recovering.

Gareth’s vertical pupils locked onto Anton, revealing a murderous intent born of absolute rage.

"I’ll kill..."

But before he could finish, the Jia Shen Divine General appeared at his side again, swinging its sword down.

It was just a simple strike, with no fancy techniques to be seen.

But the moment the blade struck, countless, densely packed sword lights suddenly materialized in the air, converging on Gareth from all directions like a storm.

Earth Elemental Power was renowned for its defensive capabilities, but Gareth, a master of this Law, seemed incredibly fragile before the storm of sword light.

The ochre halo around his body was instantly torn apart and shattered.

Gareth’s massive body was once again slammed into the ground. Mists of blood erupted from his body as his hard Scale Armor shattered like rotten wood under the slicing sword light.

Anton paid Gareth no more attention. With a slight thought, the Sword Pill beside him shot out, transforming into two hundred fifty-six streams of Profound Gold Sword Light in mid-air.

The speed of the sword light was faster than anyone could follow with their eyes.

The Pure-blooded Dragon Race members didn’t even have time to react before they were swallowed by the overwhelming torrent of sword light.

SHING SHING SHING!

The muffled sounds of flesh being sliced were as dense as falling rain.

In a single instant, all two hundred fifty-six Pure-blooded Dragon Race members had their skulls pierced by the sword light.

Without even time to scream, their bodies collapsed like puppets with their strings cut. Blood gushed from their wounds, winding into streams across the fleshy ground.

"I’ll leave the remaining Pure-blooded Dragon Race to you."

Anton didn’t strike again, giving the order without turning his head.

"I’ll take care of the Giant Dragons."

Romance and the Great Elder snapped back to their senses and nodded without hesitation.

The next moment, the two figures shot forward like arrows loosed from a bow, charging toward the surviving Pure-blooded Dragon Race members.

Anton’s gaze shifted to the Giant Dragons.

The Profound Gold Sword Light followed suit, attacking them.

The Giant Dragons, as if waking from a dream, braced themselves and met the attack, terrified.

However, each stream of Profound Gold Sword Light they faced possessed an attack power no weaker than a newly-ascended Legend.

With two hundred fifty-six streams of sword light attacking at once, it was equivalent to two hundred fifty-six new Legends striking simultaneously.

On average, each Giant Dragon had to face the combined assault of roughly five "new Legends."

The dozen or so weakest, lower-ranking Giant Dragons couldn’t even survive a single exchange against the torrent of sword light. They were instantly shredded into a mist of blood that filled the sky, which was then devoured.

As they died, the now-freed sword lights joined the assault on the other Giant Dragons.

This created a strange situation.

The more Giant Dragons that died, the greater the pressure on the remaining ones became, and the faster they were killed.

It was like a snowball effect, growing more and more intense.

In just four or five minutes, only four veteran Legendary Giant Dragons were left on the battlefield, struggling to hold on.

But soon, they too were submerged in the overwhelming sea of sword light.

By the time Anton had finished off all the Giant Dragons, the battle on the Great Elder and Romance’s side wasn’t even over.

Catching this out of the corner of their eyes, the Great Elder and Romance couldn’t help but feel a surge of emotion.

’Their Clan Leader’s methods were as devastatingly efficient as ever.’

’While they were still tied up with the stragglers, he had already eliminated the main force.’

Meanwhile, Gareth watched all of this unfold, his eyes nearly splitting with rage.

He desperately wanted to stop Anton, but under the Jia Shen Divine General’s assault, he could barely protect himself. How could he have any strength left to aid his kin?

He could only watch helplessly as Anton slaughtered his people.

The power of this Alchemy Puppet before him was far beyond his comprehension.

He had never seen such a terrifying Alchemy Puppet.

Its combat power far exceeded that of a peak Legend, even giving him the same terrifying pressure he would feel from a Saint.

Every time that Dark Gold Longsword fell, it left a new wound on his body.

Scales shattered, and flesh flew.

In the face of that sharp Sword Intent, his Earth Elemental Power was as fragile as paper.

He had never been in such a miserable state.

And he had never been so desperate.

Just as Gareth thought he was going to die here today, the dark gold puppet vanished into thin air.

Not far away, Anton slowly lowered his sleeve.

’The Jia Shen Divine General consumes too much energy. Since the situation is under control, there’s no need to waste any more.’

The peak Legendary royal Giant Dragon was now covered in wounds, clearly a spent force.

The next instant, countless streams of sword light converged into a torrent of profound gold that stretched across the sky, sweeping toward Gareth and submerging him amid his despairing gaze.

When the torrent of sword light dissipated, Gareth’s body was gone. Only a thick mist of blood hanging in the air proved that the peak Legendary royal Giant Dragon had ever existed.

The blood mist swirled and was completely devoured by the sword light.

The Sword Pill hummed with satisfaction as its light slowly dimmed. It returned to Anton’s side, reverting to its usual quiet state.

"Had your fill?" Anton said with a smile.

The Sword Pill trembled lightly in response.

Anton chuckled, shaking his head. He waved his sleeve, and the Heaven-Overturning Seal flew out. It expanded rapidly in mid-air, transforming into a massive, mountain-like seal that slammed down onto the node’s core.

BOOM!

The massive fleshy tumor was instantly crushed under the Heaven-Overturning Seal, shattering into countless dark red motes of light that scattered and fell.

The wilderness began to collapse.

The grayish-white ground fractured with spiderweb-like cracks. The pulsating patterns dimmed and vanished one by one.

The dome shattered, revealing the distorted outline of the landscape beyond.

When everything returned to normal, the three of them were back on the familiar wasteland.
