Chapter 1582: Chapter 1575

"Master Chen, this is the answer sheet for the second round of assessment. Seventy people couldn’t fully name the ten ingredients, and twenty people didn’t master the timing aspect of the ingredients accurately. Finally, there were ten people who answered all the ingredient names and timing correctly."

Pockmarked Face Spiritual Delicacy Master reported to Master Chen after gathering the statistics.

"Ten people? Vice Chairman, you have some errors in these statistics."

Master Chen put down the wine gourd in his hand and remarked drunkenly.

"There can’t be any mistake. I’ve reviewed the answers on these ten sheets several times."

Pockmarked Face Vice Chairman affirmed.

"In my opinion, all these hundred answers are incorrect. What a pity! It seems there’s not a single person among these who is the kind of talent my Taichang Holy Institute desperately needs."

Master Chen stroked his beard, shaking his head and sighing.

"Wait!"

Just as Master Chen was planning to pick the best among the subpar, selecting one from the ten, suddenly, a sheet of paper fluttered down and caught his eye.

That sheet of paper was nestled among the dozens of eliminated answer sheets.

"This answer sheet..."

Master Chen swiftly grabbed the answer sheet.

"This Spiritual Delicacy Master’s writing is all over the place, answering the wrong questions."

Pockmarked Face Spiritual Delicacy Master hurriedly explained.

A hundred answer sheets, and everyone else’s sheets were neatly written with complete responses.

But the one marked as Overlord had scribbled densely all across the paper.

No need to look closely, it’s bound to be wrong.

Moreover, this one named Overlord, Pockmarked Face Vice Chairman knew all too well.

The person was none other than the young lady from Tu Su Mansion.

Had a perfectly good name but went by an alias like Overlord, it’s just irritating to listen to!

During the last Three-star Spirit Chef assessment, Pockmarked Face Vice Chairman was vexed for being unable to deal with Xin Lin.

This time, having caught such a good opportunity, he naturally wouldn’t let it slip.

"Overlord, the name rings a bell, isn’t it the person who previously answered all the recipe questions correctly? Interesting, very interesting, she’s done quite well. This is, in fact, the only correct answer."

Master Chen praised repeatedly.

"This is the correct answer? How is this possible? Her timing was written chaotically, with some meat ingredients even suggested as raw. Those who can afford Spiritual Food are distinguished guests, how can she suggest ingredients cooked only to two or three levels of doneness?"

Pockmarked Face Vice Chairman scoffed.

"Who said that the Spiritual Food made from these ingredients is exclusively for people? These ingredients are primarily intended for Spiritual Beasts, while humans are secondary. Among so many people, she’s the only one who understood my painstaking intentions."

Master Chen burped loudly, the alcoholic fumes nearly causing Pockmarked Face and other Spiritual Delicacy Masters to retch.

"In this assessment round, keep eleven people, the rest are directly eliminated."

Master Chen waved his hand, placing Xin Lin’s answer sheet on top.

Xin Lin, along with ten others, was ultimately brought before Master Chen.

The examination hall felt very familiar to Xin Lin.

It was the very same large room from when she participated in the Three-star Spiritual Delicacy Master assessment.

Except today, the room had eleven stoves placed inside.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we meet again. Being able to stand before me for the final round of assessment means you are undoubtedly outstanding. I know you all eagerly anticipate the third round of assessment. This round of assessment is for making Spiritual Food. Before you are all the ingredients available for use to make the Spiritual Food, and it’s up to you to decide what Spiritual Food to create. The assessment time is two hours, and only one person will be chosen out of the eleven."

Master Chen straightaway stated.
