Chapter 168: Chapter 128: Tonight’s Date, Cancelled

As soon as the Commander stepped off the stage, many of the girls left early.

With so many people suddenly emptying out of the venue, there was no way Wan Shanyan wouldn’t notice!

She only managed to catch a few of the slower girls.

As for the faster ones, she couldn’t stop them in time.

Wan Shanyan arrived on the first floor of the Hall of Honor and ordered some of the girls back to the assembly hall.

Another group of girls, trying to avoid her and hide what they were really up to, made a break for the restrooms.

But the women’s restroom couldn’t possibly hold that many people, and many of the girls who couldn’t squeeze in found themselves shut out.

Wan Shanyan strode over, her face stern, and gave the girls crowded around the women’s restroom a hard look.

One girl, a good actress, began banging on the door and yelling anxiously, "Hurry up in there! I really have to go!"

"Get back there, all of you!" Wan Shanyan bellowed. "I guess you don’t care about your grade points! Your grades are already poor, and here you are, fooling around in a group! And you few from Class One, don’t think you can just breeze through graduation because you usually do well academically! No matter how high your scores on the unified examination are, without discipline points, we’ll see which university is willing to accept a bunch of unruly students like you!"

At her words, the girls’ expressions changed. They all lowered their heads and returned to the assembly hall.

The door to the women’s restroom opened, and another group of girls, who now understood the gravity of the situation, filed out.

Wan Shanyan watched them leave one by one. Still uneasy, she went to check the women’s restroom. Only after confirming no one was inside did she come out. When she passed the men’s restroom, she couldn’t help but stop. She hesitated for a moment before going in to inspect it.

In the row of stalls, only one door was shut tight.

Shu Yao, who was sitting on the toilet with her legs crossed, used her eyes to question the man.

Qin Shiwei looked with some displeasure at the stall door as it was pounded on again.

His Light Brain flapped its golden wings, flew up and over the stall, and stopped in front of Wan Shanyan. Its electronic eyes glowed red with vigilance and anger as a mechanical voice asked coldly:

"Excuse me, are you not aware that this is the men’s restroom?!"

Seeing the Light Brain’s color and the ornate markings on it, Wan Shanyan instantly recognized it as the unique insignia of the Imperial Family.

Realizing the identity of the man in the stall, she stumbled backward several steps in panic.

"C-Commander, my apologies! I thought..."

"Get out," the man’s cold, irritated voice came from inside the stall.

"I’m... I’m going right now!" Wan Shanyan scrambled out of the men’s restroom.

The Light Brain supervised her departure, then did a quick sweep outside the restroom before returning to report, "Master, everyone outside is gone!"

"Mama, we hid until the very end!" Xiao Juzi cheered, waving his fluffy paws. "Yay, we won!"

’My little guy was so good; he didn’t make a single sound.’ Shu Yao rewarded him with a big smooch.

The color of Qin Shiwei’s eyes deepened, a shadow falling over his dark green irises.

"Alright, let’s go," Shu Yao said, reaching for the lock, but the man grabbed her hand.

He pressed his thumb down hard on the knuckles of her hand, a punishing gesture. With his thin lips pursed, Qin Shiwei stared into her pitch-black eyes, his gaze a mixture of irritation and restraint.

The atmosphere suddenly grew heavy.

Completely oblivious to the tension, Xiao Juzi hopped off the toilet. "Mama, I’ll go take a look outside!" he said cautiously in his high, childish voice.

With that, he took advantage of his small size and effortlessly slipped out from under the stall door.

Once Zaizai was gone, Shu Yao cautiously said to the man, "In the future, try not to flirt with me so much in front of our son!"

After all, in Xiao Juzi’s eyes, Qin Shiwei was the other man getting between her and Ah Bao.

She didn’t want to set a bad example for her son when it came to relationships.

"Don’t kiss him!" the man stubbornly insisted. "From now on, you are not to kiss him!"

Shu Yao didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. "He’s our son!"

"I don’t care, no kissing!" Qin Shiwei couldn’t stand seeing the little furball being so intimate with his wife.

Even if it was his own flesh and blood, he couldn’t stand it!

The man suddenly leaned in, crushing his lips against Shu Yao’s with punishing, predatory force.

He didn’t pull away until he tasted a hint of blood, and even then, he was still unsatisfied.

Qin Shiwei’s voice was low and intense. "Yaoyao, remember my words. If I catch you doing anything with that child that displeases me again, I can’t guarantee what I’ll do to you in my current capacity. And trust me, you absolutely don’t want to find out what that is."

The sudden sting on her lip made Shu Yao hiss, sucking in a sharp breath.

’At least the air in here is... quite clean.’

’She almost felt like giving the school’s cleaning bots a bonus.’

She lightly touched the broken skin on her lip and shot the man a resentful look. "Our date tonight," she said petulantly, "is canceled!"

Qin Shiwei raised an eyebrow, a roguish smirk playing on his lips. "Are you sure?"

"Positive, certain, and absolutely sure!" Shu Yao replied, getting up to open the door, only to realize the man was still gripping her hand.

Qin Shiwei’s dark green eyes were filled with a deep, lingering tenderness. His free hand snaked around Shu Yao’s waist, and he began to lean in. But then, out of the corner of his eye, he spotted an orange paw sneaking in from under the door. He froze and reluctantly pulled away from her.

Xiao Juzi poked his head in. "Mama, you can come out now~"

The stall door opened, and Qin Shiwei stepped out first.

Seeing that the man was holding his mother’s hand, Xiao Juzi’s expression immediately turned hostile. Puffing up with childish ferocity, he warned:

"Don’t touch my mama!"

"Very good," Qin Shiwei said, looking slightly satisfied. "In the future, if any other man gets close to your mother, you must be even fiercer than this. You can even pounce on them and bite."

’If they don’t die, whatever. If they do die, I’ll take the blame.’

"Then you..." Xiao Juzi suddenly looked as if he’d found an ally, his opinion of this smug guy improving slightly. "Are you Ah Bao’s boss?"
