And so The Gods turned back.
He lowered his head, looking down at that figure rolling and boiling in torment within the sea of clouds, and sighed: "Why suffer?"
He had long since had contact with Xiong Sansi; the inner details of it not even Shujia Lan knew. This was another piece he had laid upon the board of the Shenxiao World.
"The power of this single faith?insect cannot stand against Tiger Taisui. I came too late."
He was explaining why he had only appeared after Tiger Taisui was eliminated.
But Xiong Sansi seemed unable to hear anything at all; his entire body was convulsing endlessly, even his mouth was twisted, and froth mixed with blood kept spraying from the corners of his lips.
With Ji Xingkong’s level of power, of course he could see that Xiong Sansi had long since lost his five senses; at this moment all of his strength and will were locked in struggle with another portion of power within his own body.
What Tiger Taisui had laid down was an infinite cycle; that portion of power opposing Xiong Sansi’s own will was itself drawing strength from Xiong Sansi’s resistance. In other words, the more fiercely Xiong Sansi struggled, the stronger the power he had to fight against became.
The harder he tried, the more it hurt. The more he struggled, the more he was tormented.
And he himself did not know...
He actually believed that his struggle could pin down part of Tiger Taisui’s power, and so, with even his five senses unable to be maintained, he endured the pain with such unshakable resolve!
Who knows what kind of existence Tiger Taisui meant to temper out; the methods were far too cruel. But whatever the result, now none of this had anything to do with him anymore.
Ji Xingkong’s voice existed by piercing through the five senses.
Within Xiong Sansi’s consciousness he continued to ask: "Is it worth it? The person you want to help, the comrade you wish to fight shoulder to shoulder with—he has no idea you are here fighting for him, doesn’t even know who you are. What’s more, all that you are doing is wholly useless! A mere God Arrives cannot possibly escape the True Monster’s hunt."
Xiong Sansi’s body jolted violently as though a current had passed through him; he twisted his features, and with a truly teeth?gritting effort, struggled and struggled, until at last a sound forced its way up from his throat: "I am... human!"
He seemed not to have answered directly, and yet he had answered everything.
The word "human" stands upon the earth and props up the sky!
Since ancient times, all who have fought for the future of the Human Race, all that they have done has been nothing but these three characters—"do what humans can"!
Human strength has its limits, but one exerts all one can, that is all.
Lingxihua and Chai Asi, from different positions, were gazing up at that Night Bodhisattva.
And the Night Bodhisattva still watched Xiong Sansi, fingers forming the seal of the dark black Lotus, and spoke in a voice of compassion: "Foolish child! I know your thousandfold hardships, your ten?thousandfold difficulties; now you sail upon the boat in Ku Hai, and at last behold The Other Shore... I have come to deliver you."
"The Devil Master Tathagata has already attained the Way, and the Way is to be spread in the End of Dharma Era."
"In the time of End of Dharma, Demons don the robes of Buddha. They harbor hearts steeped in worldly dust, covet the adornments of five colors—this is the turbid age of the Five Rebellions!"
"When End of Dharma is reached, it is unlike the time of True Dharma. To save from suffering and deliver from calamity, thunder is all the more required.
At the seat of the Devil Master Tathagata, there must be Eight Divisions of ghosts and gods.
First is the Ghost Crowd, second the God Crowd, third the Luo Cha, fourth the Kalipari, fifth the Pandava, sixth the Abhijata, seventh the Karma, and eighth... Moroughna!"
"As per our prior accord, I grant you the bright path. Your threefold thought is fine and faithful; are you willing to enter my Black Lotus Temple? From this day onward, you and the race that comes to be because of you shall obtain the Supreme good dharma, walking the right path to guard the Way and protect all living beings, under the name of Moroughna! When the End of Dharma bears its fruit, are you willing to attain that position?"
Upon the Heaven Demon Dharma Altar, a divine statue that had already walked up to the Bronze Cauldron and was in the midst of placing something into it could not help but glance sideways.
Ji Xingkong’s other move upon the board was actually to pluck the fruit of Tiger Taisui! To turn the entire Spirit Clan into Moroughna!
What a thorough beating of the dog that’s fallen into the water!
