Global Game: Developing a Knight Clan

Chapter 563 - 1: Different Cosmic Rules Eighteenth Heaven

They might even fall into an endless 'slumber' directly within the Void Realm after their Energy is completely depleted.

That's really no different from being dead, is it?

'So this is the Void Realm?'

'Different cosmoses, different laws... truly a magnificent sight.'

Lince had no intention of entering the so-called Void Realm.

Right now, he only wanted to return to the central region of the Third Heaven in the Witch God World.

The Flying Lizard had previously been severely injured in an ambush by a Giant Frost Silkworm and several other entities.

After barely managing to escape, it naturally didn't dare linger in the known regions of the Third Heaven.

The area it fled to was a remote corner on the very edge of the Third Heaven, right on the border between the Celestial Realm and the Void Realm.

Therefore, now that Lince's injuries had healed, he naturally had to go back.

Besides, he planned on using this opportunity to completely deal with all the current Deities in the Witch God World.

He had no desire to linger in this Cosmos for long.

His sole objective was to complete his mission as quickly as possible.

On the surface, Lince's current vessel was still that of a Witch God from the Third Heaven.

But in reality, Lince could draw upon all his Life Essence—compressed by the Cosmic Law—to raise his realm at the fastest possible speed.

Of course, Lince could no longer use the Authority Law Power he had acquired in his original Cosmos.

Fortunately, this current vessel had also mastered a portion of this world's Fiery Sun Law.

Lince didn't need to draw on the Power of his original world anyway.

He only needed to continuously infuse this new vessel with all the Life Essence from the Divine Body of flesh and blood he had brought from his original world.

This would allow the vessel to become his true body in this Cosmos.

This process had to be gradual.

After all, the amount of Life Essence in Lince's flesh-and-blood Divine Body alone was terrifyingly vast.

It was far more than his current vessel could absorb all at once.

The vessel would burst before it could even finish absorbing it.

'How large was this vessel's Body Type?'

A little over a thousand meters.

'And how large was Lince's original body?'

Over 150 million kilometers.

Not to mention, this Cosmos was smaller than the Star Cosmos to begin with.

All of its Deities were naturally quite a bit weaker as well.

Take this Flying Lizard, for instance.

Putting aside its other traits, as a Deity, its thousand-meter-plus frame was probably only on par with a common-type Weak Divine Power Deity from the Star Cosmos.

Lince could hardly bear to look at such a weak, so-called Primordial Deity.

Still, Lince could understand why things were this way.

After all, the Witch God World currently had quite a number of so-called Primordial Deities!

While there were only six Witch Gods in the Third Heaven,

the number of Witch Gods in the Second Heaven was over thirty.

As for the First Heaven, there were still over a hundred.

In terms of cultivating Primordial Deities, or 'Ancient Gods', this Cosmos's general approach was actually the same as the Star Cosmos's.

Big fish eat small fish.

Small fish eat shrimp.

If a Primordial Deity on a given world or planet was unable to devour most, or even all, of the other Deities there, then its Potential would naturally be very low.

As for the Witch God World? Its current situation was bizarre.

Mortals might not have known the inside story, but as a Deity, Lince had discovered that these weak Primordial Deities of the Witch God World had actually created something called a "joint declaration of Deities," even in such a barbaric era.

Although it wasn't a contract, it was incredibly similar to one.

About two thousand years ago, led by the first two Deities to ascend to the Third Heaven, all the remaining Deities in the Celestial Realm had collectively agreed to a proposal.

The proposal stated that no Deity was permitted to wantonly kill, much less devour, another Deity.

And the purpose? The stated reason was that since they were all Deities now, how could they continue to be as cruel and bloodthirsty as wild beasts?

Even mortals knew to coexist peacefully with their own tribesmen and establish settlements.

Could they, the Deities, not do the same?

Devouring flesh and blood was the behavior of beasts.

Deities should not act this way—at least, as Deities of the same world, they shouldn't.

They should coexist peacefully, collectively upholding their status and position as Deities.

Therefore, based on this proposal and with the enthusiastic support of many First Heaven Deities, the various Witch Gods collectively drew a red line for warfare.

This red line stipulated that regardless of how mortals slaughtered one another, or how Deities fought, neither side could take things to extremes.

For the losing side of a war, the Deity was not to be devoured, and the mortal tribe was not to be truly annihilated.

The loser had to be left with a final shred of dignity.

Lince's evaluation of this?

'They might as well go home and play house.'

'Deities who don't contend? They're already at war, yet they treat it like a child's game?'

However, it was a barbaric world, after all.

These Primordial Witch Gods had no concept of external enemies.

They didn't even have the Ability to control a world's Laws.

'It's only natural they don't understand the cruelty of the Cosmos.'

'Do they think they've become enlightened?'

'Do they think Deities no longer have any other enemies?'

'So they start mimicking the ways of civilization? Even starting to advocate for hedonism?'

'They sit back and watch mortals fight to the death while the Deities themselves remain untouched?'

Regarding this, Lince naturally had nothing much to say.

This sort of thing happened in the Star Cosmos, too.

There really wasn't much to say about it.

It was just... these Primordial Deities were truly a case of "ignorance is bliss."

Given the current state of the world, with roughly one hundred sixty-odd Primordial Deities, the thickness of the Life Essence of even the strongest among them probably wasn't anything to write home about.
