Pioneer Lord: I Have Conquering System

Chapter 555 - 355: Doubts Part 2

This meant these two knew who they were.

"You know who we are?" Levi asked suddenly.

"Yes—" It was too late by the time Kemisi realized his mistake. Filled with regret, he fell silent.

'They know. That makes things easier.'

The Lord cracked a small smile. Ever since arriving in this world, he and Fatir had been running around like headless chickens, unable to find anyone they could talk to and get information from.

The urgent priority now was to figure out what had happened to this world. Only then could he consider the trial mission and the reason why past Holy Knights had never returned to the Material Realm.

"Your sister's clothes are a bit ragged, but her face is quite fair…" Levi trailed off, adjusted his clothing, and then said with a faint smile, "You care a great deal for your sister. That's a good thing."

"What are you trying to do?!" Kemisi sensed something was wrong. He trembled all over, and the Little Snake Maiden snuggled in his arms looked up in terror.

"Exactly what you're thinking!" Levi revealed a vicious smile.

"You damned Human Abominations! We would rather be killed by the Divine Abominations than let you bully my sister!" Kemisi spat through gritted teeth. "Nanny Milan was right. You're a pack of Demons, a bunch of damned butchers! You all deserve to go to Hell!"

"Ah… ah…" The Little Snake Maiden opened her mouth, but only a few wordless sounds came out, pearly, translucent tears streaming down her face.

The Lord didn't know how many other Divine Servants like Kemisi there were, but it was clear they were filled with malice toward him and Fatir.

It made him even more curious about what had transpired in this world over the past few thousand years.

"Think what you will." The curse was meaningless to the Lord. "If you don't want your sister sold off as a slave, you'll honestly tell me what Human Abominations and Divine Abominations are!"

At these words, Kemisi and the Little Snake Maiden froze. Even Fatir couldn't help but shoot him a sideways glance.

"No, what are you all thinking?" The Lord guessed their thoughts from their expressions and waved his hand in exasperation. "I'm not shameless enough to bully a little girl to achieve my goals."

Kemisi's impression of this Human Abomination improved considerably… No, wait! Selling her as a slave isn't much better!

"Speak. Is 'Human Abomination' what you call us? And what are Divine Abominations?" Levi's gaze shifted between the two. "If you answer my questions properly, I swear in the name of the gods to let you live."

"A Human Abomination is a Human Abomination. Anyone not bestowed with a Divine Image by the Divine Lord is a Human Abomination." Every intelligent creature is prone to wishful thinking, especially a young boy. In the end, Kemisi chose to live.

And once a person chooses to yield, it's hard to ever be tough again.

He spilled everything he knew like pouring out beans:

"The Divine Abominations are those giant monsters. During three of the new moons in every Divine Calendar year, They wander the land aimlessly, killing all the Divine Servant Clan members on the surface. During this period, it is the Boundary Land's turn for the Divine Abominations to walk the earth. It is also called the Abandoned Season."

What the heck was a Divine Image? And what the heck was an Abandoned Season? After listening, the three of them were even more confused. Little Buji's eyes were practically spinning in circles.

Besides, they hadn't seen a single hair of anything on their journey here.

Their confusion was not hidden at all, and Kemisi noticed. His brow furrowed. "You don't know any of this at all?"

"That's right. We don't know anything you're talking about," Levi nodded, deciding to be completely open. "We don't even understand why you're so afraid of us, or why those so-called Divine Abominations want to kill you."

"Wait." Kemisi suddenly thought of something. The Human Abominations were supposed to have died out long ago. So where did these two, and that little creature he'd never seen before, come from?

"Where exactly did you come from to get to the Boundary Land?" he couldn't help but ask.

"Do you know of an abandoned Holy Altar to the west, where there's a Teleport Anchor Point?" Levi watched Kemisi, who looked stunned. He clearly knew of it. Levi continued, "We came to this world through that Teleportation Array."

Levi had no intention of hiding his and Fatir's identities. First, there was no point. Their appearances were so different from the natives of this world that hiding was impossible.

Second, he had come here with the intention of conquering the entire world anyway, so hiding was irrelevant.

As soon as he finished speaking, the entire space fell into a dead silence. In the quiet, Kemisi's small knife dropped to the ground with a dull thud. His jaw was dropped wide enough to fit an apple, and the Little Snake Maiden was no different.

"How is that possible!" Kemisi seemed to have gone mad, his whole body trembling uncontrollably.

"That 'Calamity Wormhole' is guarded by the Divine Lords' strongest servant! How could you possibly have come through from that side!"

"Huh? You mean that rabbit pretending to be a monster? I killed it."

"I thought it would be strong, but it died before I even had to get serious."

Levi said this casually, shaking his head. He had thought the natives of this world were too backward to accept the idea of him being an Outer Heaven Demon, but that was clearly not the case.

They called it a "Teleport Anchor Point," while these natives called it a "Calamity Wormhole." The names were different, but they obviously meant the same thing. What the other party couldn't accept was that he had killed the monster disguised as a rabbit.

His casual words struck Kemisi's heart like a heavy hammer, leaving him feeling as if he were in the dead of winter, his entire body terrifyingly cold.

"What? Was that thing strong?" Levi asked curiously. "How does it compare to those Divine Abominations you mentioned?"

He genuinely wanted to know the monster's strength to judge the level of high-end combat power in this world. Then he could decide whether to be more aggressive.

He didn't have much time to waste here; a pile of matters awaited him back at High Cliff Castle.

While this world for two with Fatir wasn't bad, he missed his debaucherous life with Tina and Heather even more.

'Is this a question of strong or not? That was an Apostle of the Divine Lord, the strongest servant…' Kemisi didn't say this aloud, only stating stiffly, "It's not as strong as a Divine Abomination. Otherwise, we wouldn't have to hide underground and only dare to come out during the day."

...

As the conversation continued, some of their previous questions were temporarily answered, but even more new questions arose.

Language was supposed to be a powerful tool for communication, but at this moment, it felt pale and weak. Levi now regretted not bringing the Giant Goblin.

The Lord of High Cliff Castle's advisor would have definitely been able to figure everything out.

"Levi, if you put yourself in their shoes and think about what Kemisi said, doesn't it sound a little familiar?" Fatir suddenly asked.

She spoke in Elven. The current common tongue was partially derived from Elven, and this erudite Saintess could speak not only Elven but also Dwarven.

Thanks to the Language Mastery granted by his system, Levi naturally understood. An idea suddenly struck him, like a bolt of lightning streaking through months of haze, illuminating the misty land.

Levi stared at the flickering firelight, following this train of thought—no one knew what had happened in this isolated world, and a few thousand years was more than enough time for bizarre, illogical things to occur.

'Could it be that the dominant powers in this world now were founded by the Fallen Divine Servants and Witch Demon Kings who were transported here? Or perhaps They Themselves have already taken control of this world.'

'That would explain why they see the original native humans as Human Abominations and are filled with malice toward them.'

'And Kemisi, even the entire Divine Servant Race he mentioned, could be the surviving descendants of those Fallen Divine Servants who have been living here ever since.'

For a moment, Levi's breath caught in his throat.

'If that's really the case, does that mean he has to fight the entire world all by himself?!'
