Chapter 4616: Spacewill’s Demise?
“I… I don’t know…” Almer Spacewill shook his head.
“…” Davis felt a bucket of cold water drenching his head before he nodded, moving onto the next question.
He had considered the importance of questions, placing them on a priority stack. He had all the time in the world to have an investigative session with this idiot.
“Who were the targets you were chasing? There were two of them, no?”
“My target is you…”
“…” Davis gawked but heard Almer Spacewill continue.
“Who wouldn’t be fond of you, Wella Vertiga? You’re my finest fairy, hailing from the Celestial Vertiga Tribe and the possessor of one of the replicas of the Necklace of Light and Darkness. Your status is no less than mine. As long as you agree to marry me, I can release Heim Mavigglain. Otherwise…”
His voice was laced with threat, leaving Davis speechless.
It seemed like his hallucinations came out. Davis strengthened his technique and used Enigmatic Heart Laws to garner the truth out of him instead of his hallucinations. It seemed like fine-tuning was required for the technique.
After some time, he managed to extract information that these so-called Heim Mavigglain and Wella Vertiga escaped his grasp. That signal for help belonged to Wella Vertiga, who used the replica of the Necklace of Light and Darkness, and the myriad of energies in the atmosphere of that fire island actually belonged to Heim Mavigglain, an heir to the Azure Skyfeather Palace and the possessor of the replica of the Five Elements Quintessence Crystal.
Davis was horrified to know such beings were roaming out there, causing him to want to catch up to Bylai’s group and return to Evelynn before they could be harmed, but on second thought, he realized that even if there were many replicas- replicas that were created anew at the Peak-Level Empyrean Grade and could bypass the secret realm’s restriction- were very few.
He could understand the replica of the Five Elements Quintessence Crystal being able to bypass the secret realm’s restriction because this was indeed the Elemental Dimension. As for the replica of the Necklace of Light and Darkness, it appeared to be a Peak-Level Immortal Emperor Grade Artifact, but its prowess appeared to be way higher due to the Luminous Rage Shard Region’s light attribute.
Davis didn’t think any other replicas could enter the secret realm unless they could fulfill these factors.
Hence, he didn’t think he should need to fear them.
As for why these three were here, it seemed that Heim Mavigglain and Wella Vertiga were lovers. They shared an illicit relationship, not to mean that they were married to others, but their powers didn’t accept their relationship. Hence, they secretly left their powers in the Shard World to meet here in the Luminous Rage Shard Region, on that fire island, only to be ambushed by Almer Spacewill, who wanted to conquer Wella Vertiga.
But since the ambush failed and people were already alerted through the signal, he waited and wanted to trap them all in the Temporal Voidplane Ring due to his Master’s words.
His mission was to abduct as many young geniuses, beasts, and spirits as possible so as to please a certain divine entity.
Davis wondered if it was the Void Reflection Palace’s ruler. He couldn’t tell. Almer Spacewill didn’t seem to have an idea either. He was happy to do what his master requested of him, placing a lot of importance regardless of morality.
As for who his master was, Davis gained the answer that it was a Grand Elder from the Void Reflection Palace named Minsk Virm, a true expert at the level of a Peak-Level Exalt Stage. He was not a Divine Exalt since only the ruler and his chosen descendants or disciples were allowed to become a Divine Exalt. It seemed like he also had ties to the Spacewill Tribe, the current surface ruler of the True Void Greater Realm.
Davis also asked him about Divine Lightning and Divine Flame, but Almer Spacewill didn’t know anything about it, causing him to sigh.
He continued asking many questions without worrying that someone would interrupt or harm him. He now possessed the Temporal Voidplane Ring. Even if he was overwhelmed, escaping became far easier than before.
His ability to travel also became faster!
Thirty minutes later, Nadia arrived.
“Master! What happened? Your soul…”
She pounced on him, looking all worried. She had rushed with her fastest speed, but Davis now seemed fine.
“Nothing happened.” Davis caught her and chuckled as he caressed her head.
He didn’t have the luxury to hide the ripples of pain in his soul from Nadia, so he knew she would eventually appear. She didn’t even dare to disturb him after closing the distance enough to communicate through their pact. But he did inform her that there was nothing to worry about after she entered his range.
“You came here without the others?”
“Fhi~”
He raised his brows, causing her to whimper and nod.
Davis put her at ease, “Good. Don’t make your sisters worry because of me. I will always survive.”
He wasn’t kidding, since if his soul really did collapse from being unable to endure the Grim Death’s Awakening, then his Ghost Will, which is even stronger than his soul, would pop out. He was literally a wraith that couldn’t be killed.
At that time, he wouldn’t have had any qualms about using Fallen Heaven.
Then again, if the opponent still had the Temporal Voidplane Ring to use against him, then he wouldn’t have waited until soul collapse. He would’ve just dispersed the Grim Death’s Awakening Technique and let go of the Eternal Eclipse Bird.
What use was the Void Calamity if he was sealed?
“Nadia, look at this ring. How is it?” He displayed the ring to her.
However, Nadia couldn’t tell anything special about it. In her eyes, it was nothing but an ordinary ring.
“Looks ordinary. Is it a spatial ring?”
“You could say so, but it’s a bit different and special. It has the ability to make one’s space energy much stronger.”
Nadia inclined her head, “Then… it would be a great gift for sister Stella.”
Davis blinked before he smiled, “Indeed. Perhaps this treasure could shine in her hand. Regardless, it’s mine for now. With this treasure in hand, we could safely travel in the Shard Continent even without the Eternal Eclipse Bird. Even when we return, crossing the False Dawn Harbinger’s territory is no longer an issue.”
“Really!?” Nadia’s eyes gleamed.
That was the greatest threat they would face upon their return journey. She was also aware that the False Dawn Harbinger would be pissed beyond compare after what they had done to it.
“Yes.” Davis gave a heavy nod.
He then turned to look at Almer Spacewill, his lips curling in delight.
“Who is that, Master?”
Nadia’s gaze turned cold. She had an inkling that this was the person who caused her master harm. His arms appeared to be torn off.
“Just a ghost spirit that would die soon. Leave him alone.”
Davis waved his hand, using the second technique of Enigmatic Heart Laws and Illusion Laws.
Almer Spacewill stood up weakly. His eyes were still dazed, and his expression was confused and anguished. He ended up walking away, and Davis let him leave just like that.
Eventually, he appeared on top of a volcano whose fires were of Low-Level Primarch Grade. He stood in front of it, wailing and crying, before he jumped into it.
*Fhsss!~*
Flames rose and set his body ablaze. He instantly turned into ashes, but at the same time, space twisted, and a killmark erupted.
“Who dares!?”
*BOOOM!~*
The entire volcano exploded from the inside out, and a gush of lava spewed forth, burning the land and clouding the area with fog and ashes.
