Chapter 4662: Considering The Next Move
Davis smiled, finishing the drink before he placed it on the table.
“Where can I contact you? Just the galaxy would do. The Nine-Headed Hydra Galaxy?”
“… Was it that obvious?” Ophirya Kaelis wryly smiled.
“The moment you mentioned the Hell Poison Gem. The hydra is also a type of serpent and a dragon. Also-”
“Absolutely not.” A soft voice of displeasure emanated from her.
“My mistake then.” Davis didn’t dwell on the similarities, “Before you answer whether you’re joining me or not, you should meet with my Mystic Diviner. She’s younger than me, but her ability as a Mystic Diviner wouldn’t be second to you in certain cases.”
“I have heard that there’s a terrifying Mystic Diviner in your power, but I always assumed it was you.”
“…” Davis was suddenly ashamed to say that he didn’t know any divination techniques.
“Aiya, I’m also young. If I can do everything, I might as well sit as a ruler above the eight galaxies right now.”
Ophirya Kaelis couldn’t help but raise her hand to her mouth as she suppressed a giggle. However, she quickly became composed and nodded.
“I’m willing to meet the fabled Mystic Diviners of yours. However, I will preface by saying that my answer will be unfavorable as I’m not looking to leave my power.”
Davis nodded, “There’s no need to agree at all. For the blood essence you handed over, I will arrange for a suitable amount of threads to be weaved and given to you.”
“Your benevolence is truly remarkable and praiseworthy.”
After some time, Davis left.
Ophirya Kaelis watched him leave with a strange expression on her face. The number of times she communicated with humans could be counted on a single hand, yet she enjoyed this discussion as though she was speaking to someone who was familiar.
She wryly smiled, wondering if it was because they were both Anarchic Divergents, but in that case, they should be trying to kill each other as their fates intertwine in this time period and not trying to befriend each other. This made her confused since she felt like she was done for the moment the Divine Emperor of Death found her, which was an irregularity according to her previous divinations, which indicated that they shouldn’t have any interaction between them.
As for Fairy Thunderblaze, she wasn’t so sure where this human woman came from. It was like she appeared out of thin air, making her wonder if she was using the great void of the Divine Emperor of Death to conceal her own or if she was just being overshadowed.
Nonetheless, she gazed at Tsaryn, who was lying on the floor, slowly waking up.
“Not again…!” Tsaryn rose from the ground and shrieked, her cheeks red in shame.
She couldn’t believe as a King-Tier Nightshade Ocean Phantasm Fey with a high prowess, she fell prey to his damned illusions again. It was not only infuriating since she was also skilled in illusions, but also scary. Her confidence had been completely shattered since she was careful the second time, but still didn’t sense any attack.
Then, her eyes darted around, confirming the Priestess’s safety and mental well-being before she sighed, her eyes darting around.
“He… he did not take advantage of my words, did he?”
Ophirya Kaelis seemed to be deep in thought when these words awakened her. She couldn’t help but curl her lips, “Not only did he take advantage by peeking into your skirt, but he also took your blood essence and soul essence. Now you’re his first serpent slave.”
“Ah!?”
Tsaryn’s cheeks turned pale, but looking at the Priestess’ increasingly smiling eyes, she knew it was a lie.
“You… stop teasing. You have to be more careful from now on. My honest advice for us is to leave.”
“There’s still another matter to settle. Let’s wait for a bit more time.”
“Okay…” Tsaryn could only nod helplessly. She could also make decisions, but when there was no clear danger, the Priestess was in charge.
Davis quickly left the red-light district to placate his wives and put their hearts at ease. He wandered about the marketplace, hoping to obtain a supreme treasure of an unknown kind.
The auction was still ongoing, but the good items were already all sold. It was a pity that those who came from afar were bound to get disappointed. However, if they couldn’t obtain an item they desired in the auction, they could always hunt.
Who was going to stop them?
He could see many powers gathering together for hunting. Some also sized him up but left as soon as they comprehended who he was.
As he walked like he owned the place, he thought about Ophirya Kaelis’s words on a replica being able to grow in grade.
It wasn’t a secret, considering the replica of the Hell Poison Gem Evelynn obtained was capable of growing in grade as long as one obtained the relevant ingredients listed. As for the Scarlet Destiny Spindle, he really had no idea, but he knew Fallen Heaven could be an alternative, just like how it became an alternative for the black-white stone.
Therefore, he wasn’t worried about the Scarlet Destiny Spindle but the Temporal Voidplane Ring.
What kind of resources did it need to grow? How could he make it more powerful?
Using a divination on a replica of an apex treasure to find where it could get powerful didn’t seem like a smart thing to do, but if he told Tia, she would surely want to take that risk. He was hoping that he could get Ophirya Kaelis to do it using the scarlet threads from the Scarlet Destiny Spindle as payment, but she seemed like a woman who wanted to stay out of trouble, unlike Zenova.
Each of her movements was made with the intent to hide and survive. She was even willing to act as a servant outside. He respected the way she moved and grew to recognize her as an individual. He wasn’t the one to force people unless necessary.
‘Oh well… time to prepare against the Starry Corps… They shouldn’t be able to display their full prowess in the Shard Regions since they’re supreme geniuses at Level Nine Empyrean Stage, so they’ll most likely wait to ambush me in the Shard Continent… How should I kill them?’
Davis began to make some plans and contingencies.
He no longer wanted to travel together with his wives to Bylai’s Shard Region, intending to send them back to Evelynn in order to fortify their defenses from unexpected aggression. Myria and Freya were enough to protect Niera, so he guessed he should quickly head to Bylai’s group in order to protect them from unexpected attacks.
For a suicide squad, he knew if the Starry Corps had the chance, they would definitely take action against his people or bribe some group to do the dirty work for them.
