Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4946 With The Imperial Decree

Chapter 4946  With The Imperial Decree

"…!"

Ancestor Dian Alstreim and the others couldn't control themselves from trembling, their souls reverberating out of control. They felt electrified as an immense pressure weighed down on them. The powerful aura swept across the courtyard as the surface of the thick beast hide scroll shimmered faintly with an iridescent light, bold strokes of reincarnation soul force radiating Empyrean Stage aura.

However, most of them could tell this aura definitely wasn't at the Empyrean Stage.

They already knew their Davis wouldn't be ordinary when he entered the Empyrean Stage. After all, they were also witnesses to the ridiculous tribulation that they had seen that day, but this indomitable aura and the prowess that couldn't be predicted, they were afraid that his prowess had already reached the Exalt Stage as an Empyrean.

Most importantly, the decree also carried Davis's Will, his authority.

Evelynn displayed the scroll lightly before turning it to herself to read. She also held her breath, finding it difficult to breath in front of his extraordinary aura and the Will radiating from it.

'Dummy, you went too far…'

Evelynn's eyes turned moist, nearly unable to look at it.

Thankfully, it was not etched with sword or killing intent. Otherwise, she could say goodbye to her eyes for viewing it from this close.

Nonetheless, she held it with a firm grasp and read.

"By the Mandate of this Sovereign, the Divine Emperor of Death, I have examined my second wife, Natalya Davis, with the initial suspicion that she directly violated an established family law when she chose to intervene in my tribulation by angering the heavens and endangering the security and safety of the Davis Family."

"…"

Igor Stirlander gasped.

Eden pursed his lips, his heart anxious, but awaited the verdict.

Many finally understood the weight of the crime. No one would dare to challenge the heavens during a tribulation, much less an Anarchic Divergent's tribulation, especially the Divine Emperor of Death's Empyrean Tribulation that had frightened them to death recently.

Evelynn continued, her voice majestic and firm, "This act is acknowledged to be inconsiderate and akin to betrayal. The law also condemns such behavior and recommends strict action to be taken regardless of the identity of the wrongdoer. Hence, the criminal Natalya Davis needs to be sentenced to life in prison for five hundred thousand years."

"…!"

Everyone's heart quickened, and some of them even felt their hearts stricken with fear.

The Divine Emperor of Death, known to respect and care for his women as if there was nothing else in the world, finally decided to punish one of his wives for the first time! This would immediately change the dynamic.

The gazes of Esvele and other maids were filled with shock. They were personal witnesses to see how the Divine Emperor of Death loved and respected his women, and their envy attested to his remarkable character.

Tia and Myria, who had just made their way back, were dumbfounded.

What the heck was going on!?

But before they could make a move, Evelynn continued.

"However, the motive behind Natalya's actions was not rooted in ambition, malice, personal gain, or betrayal, but in the pure intent of wanting me to return safe and sound. She challenged the heavens without fear and even helped me as an apparition in a soul battle with a celestial expert of the highest order. Her actions were carried out solely with the intent to preserve my life in circumstances that she was not even aware of."

"Therefore, in recognition of her actions that were born from loyalty and devotion in addition to considering no harm ultimately befell the family as a result of her decision, not to forget that unity within the household supersedes the rigid application of law when the intent is pure, I hereby declare that Natalya Davis, my second wife, is absolved of all wrongdoing related to this matter."

"No stain shall mark her name. No punishment shall be carried out. No future cases shall be twisted from this imperial decree. This Emperor has spoken, and the decree is final. No changes shall be made, and any attempts to overturn the decree will be met with my wrath."

Evelynn said the last word and took a deep breath before displaying it once again to the public.

"Natalya, kneel and accept your pardon."

"Yes~"

Natalya turned around and knelt on the platform, her hand reached out, and her head bowed.

Evelynn finished displaying the imperial decree before she rolled up the scroll and placed it on Natalya's palms.

"Our Emperor has spoken, and you are absolved of all crimes. Anyone who brings up this matter in a negative light will have their tongue cut off."

Evelynn smilingly said before she panned her gaze at the crowd, causing them to shiver.

"You can all rise." She added, allowing the people to finally move.

Igor Stirlander landed on his butt, finally heaving a sigh of relief. Rosalia Stirlander had gone limp and barely began to regain her strength.

Eden heaved a sigh before trying to find his father in the air. He knew this was all planned out, considering his father loved his mother plenty, but he had to admit this almost had him crying if it weren't for the side effect of his physique.

"Eden!~"

Natalya hugged the imperial decree before she called out to her son, quickly appearing before him after she jumped out of the platform and descended.

"Ma~"

Eden spread his hands, wanting to be picked up.

Lydia also breathed out a sigh, looking over at Eden to see him relax, before she also smiled lightly, looking glad for him. She watched the two of them hug. In her heart, she felt greatly relieved to see the Davis Family still remain strong and united.

She didn't want this fantasy to be broken.

"My daughter… you… you really were reckless…" Igor Stirlander rushed to her.

"What are you saying? She saved our son-in-law…!" Rosalia Stirlander chastised him before hurriedly hugging Natalya.

"Mother…" Natalya smiled lightly, "I don't know if I helped, but I believe I did. But I didn't save him. He is undefeatable."

"Yes, yes, our son-in-law is undefeatable…" Rosalia Stirlander shed tears, holding her daughter's face before she hugged Natalya firmly again.

She felt everything was good, but was reminded that life was fleeting. Today could've been a day when she had lost her daughter. However, even this imagination collapsed as Fiora descended and revealed that her stupid sister had been struck by punishment lightning and would have died if Davis hadn't saved her after returning.

Natalya chose to remain silent, utilizing one of the laws of the Davis Family.

"Hey, give me back my emotions…"

Drake muttered lightly when a soul transmission fell on his ears.

"Nice kneeling pose you have there."

"You ass." Drake chuckled, "Is it really fun watching this play out? Come out, we'll go drinking and touring as friends. It's really been a long time."

"I still have a lot of work to do. Pretend that I didn't come here."

"Right, right… I know you're going to get busy with thirty-plus wives. Hopefully, you have the energy to deal with them all." Drake shook his head pitifully.

Dual cultivation really wasn't easy at higher stages.

Nonetheless, the crowd turned noisy, chuckling and laughing that the Divine Emperor of Death was still the same old Davis who wouldn't harm his wife. This was a point they cared about since he could harm someone he loved so much, so his mentality has faltered.

They were talking about it, even bringing his comprehension of Heart Intent into the fray.

Lydia went running around as she took advantage of this rare opportunity, seeing all these powerful people whom she hadn't seen for a long time. She recalled seeing them once or twice when she was a toddler or a little kid.

"Aye," Ancestor Dian Alstreim nodded, "I have made some improvements in Enigmatic Heart Laws, but it probably cannot compare to the genius lawmaker of the Davis Family. Besides, now that our Emperor has reached the Empyrean Stage, I'm gonna make a bold assumption and say that his Enigmatic Heart Laws also reached Level Three Obscure Intent…!"

"No way, I heard that's the realm of fabled characters of our human history…!" Lest Mistwalker shook his head, slightly laughing, "Even for the Divine Emperor of Death, it should prove to be a mountainous task to achieve…"

"Wanna bet?" Klade, Ancestor Cornelia's husband, raised one of his brows with confidence.

"…"

While they blinked in response, a child's heart fell into the bottom of a pond, suddenly becoming loud yet muffled.

Lydia froze in place, her amethyst eyes quivering as she realized- realized for a fact that they always knew.
