Chapter 5025 Pulling One's Leg?
In the skies of the sanctuary near the Davis Family Estate, Celestia was making her way back since she heard that Mother Panqa got pregnant.
It was quite the joyous news, prompting her to return from dealing with some issues in the cities as part of her curriculum when she was young, but she had made acquaintances and recognized some faces there, so she returned to aid them like a noble woman.
She stood on the head of an azure-golden dragon, her arms free and her golden sleeves dangling, forming a stark contrast with her purple robe, causing her to appear quite dashing as she emanated a formidable aura.
Her beautiful face was hidden behind a black veil. Her hair flowed like a starry purple waterfall. Two thin strands, resembling braids or drills, fell over her shoulders, giving her a luxurious appearance.
Her sapphire eyes were sharp like her father's as she scanned the vicinity of the Davis Family Estate, her gaze ever vigilant.
Below her was the King-Tier Five Clawed Golden Dragon at the Empyrean Beast Stage.
Its azure-golden scales shimmered like polished armor, each plate glinting with golden hues. Its four limbs all carried a set of five claws, capable of tearing even the toughest of metal. Two imposing wings unfurled as they flapped behind its back, carrying it forward. Spikes ran across its spine like they were carriers of energy as they glowed, distorting the space with waves of undulating pressure.
Its head was adorned by three horns that flared backward like a crown.
By all rights, it should've been a massive entity crossing the twenty-kilometer mark, capable of blotting out the skies, but at this moment, it was a mere two hundred meters long in size. Although it was still massive, it wasn't anywhere near its true size.
Regardless, its majestic appearance, combined with its dominating aura, could make nearly any magical beast in the vicinity cower like a helpless being.
It was none other than Barakiel, the magical beast they had subdued in one of the Shard Regions of the Elemental Dimension, and made him share his blood essence or die for his impudence.
Suddenly, both caught sight of someone shooting upwards.
*Whoosh!~*
It wasn't until this figure was in front of them and no longer a silhouette that they recognized who it was.
"Father~"
Celestia's expression softened as she called out.
However, she noticed her father had a dark expression on his face as he glared at Barakiel.
Barakiel was also stunned.
What did he do to gather this kind of animosity!? He could feel the searing heat brush past his face, causing him to inwardly curse before he roared.
"I haven't done anything bad! I'm behaving! Can't you let me live!?"
By this time, Barakiel was thoroughly aware of the Davis Family's methods and their true force. Although he was still arrogant and overbearing, he was terrified of Davis and was willing to listen to his daughter Celestia, with whom he had shared his blood, although it was stolen from him.
It was an humiliation he wouldn't be willing to live with. However, his Will had been broken once, and he had been tortured in a cauldron, so he came to know how to behave.
Davis stayed silent.
He was staring at Barakiel, but he was momentarily suspicious as he paused, thinking about another matter.
He suddenly felt his left leg tugging while he flew up. It barely lasted for a moment, but he knew for a fact he felt it and wasn't hallucinating. It was quite strange. He only wanted the maid to fall as he had a strange feeling that he could try controlling fate, but that didn't happen as far as he saw, so why was his leg pulled?
He even wondered if those karmic entities hidden in plain space were playing some kind of prank on him or trying to retaliate. After all, even if his attempt failed, he was of the idea that techniques of this nature would always invite a backlash.
It made him remember the days when he would use Fallen Heaven and watch the backlash appear. At first, there was no backlash, but as he advanced through the stages and the influence carried by individuals at higher stages tended to be high, causing fate to be stirred and inevitably face a backlash, he knew not to use Fallen Heaven anymore.
But this was his home, a Divergent home where fate was already under his control, or rather, heavily influenced by him, so he didn't think he would encounter a backlash here or even make the maid hurt badly. If it worked, he was confident his attempt at changing fate wouldn't go wrong at all since he was just playing a prank by making the maid trip.
How bad could it be?
But he still encountered an extremely minor backlash with his leg being pulled?
Davis was confused, wanting to investigate, but as he stared at Barakiel, he came out of his reverie and grit his teeth.
"Don't you get any ideas about my daughter. I will feed you to the rabbits."
"No, I haven't done anything!"
Barakiel looked horrified as he quivered for his dignity.
Eaten by rabbits? It was a fate worse than death for a dragon!
Standing on Barakiel's head, Celestia pouted.
"Father, he's behaving well and has promised to become my mount. Why are you making this weird for us? I was just about to ask you for permission."
Davis scowled. He sent a soul transmission, "Mother Nadia was also my magical beast mount once. Black Tyriel was also Rea Tyriel's magical beast mount. Relationships don't have anything to do with who one is or what race they are, but are just a matter of compatibility and affection. As long as you two beings of the opposite gender cross many hurdles together, they will inevitably find solace in each other."
Celestia went silent before responding with the same method, "I understand, father. Then I will forget about the idea of forming a beast pact with Barakiel anymore."
Davis shook his head, "No, you can still form a master-mount beast pact with him instead of an equal one."
While Celestia went speechless, Davis's tone became softer with the intent to advise. He continued.
