Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 5260: Do Not Allow Them To Escape?

Chapter 5260: Do Not Allow Them To Escape?

A few million kilometers away from the obsidian flying palace, the void suddenly trembled.

A dark-purple vortex slowly manifested in the skies, its edges twisting like a bottomless whirlpool. The sinister aura of the Nether Dimension poured through the opening, causing the surrounding heaven and earth energy to churn violently.

Hundreds of figures emerged from the portal in succession, each one carrying an oppressive aura belonging to the Exalt Stage. Their dark purple bodies were covered in purple-crimson patterns, while blood-red eyes flickered with excitement beneath three curved horns. Their enormous bat-like wings flapped violently as they descended into the realm.

"Zhehahaha! Is that our target!?"

A Nether Devil laughed maniacally as its gaze swept across the distant skies. The others immediately spread out, their movements carrying a frightening killing intent. They clearly had no intention of concealing themselves. After all, in their eyes, hundreds of Exalt Stage Nether Devils were already an overwhelming force.

However, three figures slowly stepped out from the portal.

The surrounding Nether Devils immediately became silent since these three Nether Devils were vastly different from the others.

Their bodies appeared to be covered in thick exoskeletal armor that appeared to have grown naturally from their flesh. Jagged plates covered their chests, shoulders, arms, and legs, while strange nether inscriptions pulsed with ominous light across their armor.

One possessed an aura of darkness so dense that the surrounding light seemed to be devoured. Another radiated poisonous energy that caused the space around him to faintly corrode. The final one carried a terrifying killing intent that made even the surrounding Nether Devils instinctively retreat several steps.

They were none other than Nether Devilarchs.

The moment the three Devilarchs stepped out of the portal from the Nether Dimension, their enormous bodies began shrinking. Their true forms were rumored to reach thirty kilometers in height, yet they rapidly compressed until their bodies became merely three meters tall.

Clearly, they were also careful about breaking the layer limit, yet their oppressive aura did not diminish in the slightest.

Instead, it became even more concentrated.

The combined might of the three Nether Devilarchs descended upon the surrounding skies, causing the space to incessantly tremble. If such pressure were unleashed upon an ordinary major power, countless cultivators would likely kneel without hesitation. Their existence alone was enough to make weaker cultivators feel suffocated.

"Spread out and give chase."

One of the Nether Devilarchs coldly ordered as he gazed at the distant obsidian flying palace trying to escape by shuttling through space.

"Do not allow them to escape."

The other two Devilarchs nodded. Their blood-red eyes swept across the surroundings with terrifying indifference. They had received a clear command from above, and they intended to accomplish it without the slightest mistake.

Just then, the nether portal behind them fluctuated once more.

The hundreds of Nether Devils abruptly turned around.

Even the three Devilarchs lowered their heads.

Another figure was emerging.

A massive shadow appeared behind the portal, and an even more frightening aura slowly seeped into the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm. The Nether Devils immediately knelt in mid-air, their expressions filled with reverence as they bowed toward the approaching figure.

"Overlord!"

Their voices echoed throughout the skies.

However, before the figure could completely emerge from the nether portal, the expressions of the surrounding Nether Devils suddenly changed.

They sensed something.

The purple-white skies above them were still filled with endless heaven and earth energy. Yet, within that vast expanse, there was a particular region that seemed strangely different. A faint golden radiance had appeared within the clouds.

At first, they didn’t care about it, but it gradually turned brighter.

The surrounding clouds began glowing.

A terrifying pressure slowly descended from above, causing the expressions of the three Devilarchs to change. Their instincts, honed through countless years of slaughter, were screaming at them that an unimaginable danger was rapidly approaching.

"What is that?"

One Devilarch raised his head as his pupils contracted.

A golden streak suddenly pierced through the purple-white clouds.

It was an arrow.

Its speed was so terrifying that even the Exalt Stage Nether Devils could barely perceive its existence. All they could see was a golden line stretching across the heavens, carrying blazing reverent solar flames that seemed capable of burning through everything in its path. It bloomed into their eyes, nearly making them blind.

"What!?"

The Nether Devil that was about to step through the portal immediately froze.

Only half of its massive body had emerged.

It hurriedly withdrew, its enormous bat-like wings flapping violently as it attempted to retreat into the Nether Dimension. Unfortunately for the others, the arrow had already arrived, and they had no choice but to defend themselves.

The three Nether Devilarchs reacted at the same time.

"Defend!"

*Booom!~*

Three terrifying auras erupted simultaneously.

Darkness surged through the skies, poisonous energy condensed into layers, and a horrifying bloody slaughter intent swept outward. Their nether energies soared, bringing with them a terrifying oppression from the Nether Dimension that could even restrain a World Hegemon for a brief second or two.

The three Devilarchs joined forces and erected a gigantic barrier before themselves and the remaining Nether Devils. Countless nether inscriptions appeared across its surface, forming layer upon layer of defensive energy.

However, the blazing golden arrow unceremoniously arrived and struck the barrier.

For an instant, everything became silent.

Then the barrier shattered, completely blown apart without even giving time for cracks to form.

Reverent solar flames bloomed as the arrow pierced through the defensive formation barrier as though it were nothing more than fragile paper.

The three Devilarchs were violently thrown backward, while the hundreds of Nether Devils behind them were directly engulfed by the terrifying solar flames.

"Nooo!"

Their screams erupted simultaneously.

Hundreds of Nether Devils were burned alive on the spot.

Their enormous bodies were reduced to ashes before they could even react. Their nether energy was completely purified beneath the reverent solar flames, leaving not even a trace of their existence behind.

The three Nether Devilarchs barely survived.

Their bodies were covered in cracks, and blood flowed from their mouths while their exoskeletal armor had been shattered in numerous places, yet their expressions were still filled with disbelief.

How could a single arrow possess such terrifying might? They were weak to the radiance of the Solar Reverence, but who could harness it, much less employ it to this degree as though they were the son of the Solar Reverence itself!?
