Chapter 5366: A New Kind Of Hydragon
"Alright, everything seems great."
Davis walked towards Azariel’s avatar, patted his shoulder, and then pulled him along towards the true body that was sprawled on the ground, looking all exhausted.
Azariel opened his eyes and sighed tiredly.
"Except my new appearance."
Davis laughed silently.
The pair of horns looked like it belonged to the Earth Dragon, but the sleek and sharp shape looked more like a hydra’s since the Earth Dragon’s was supposed to be thicker. He supposed this was the fusion of the dragon and hydra bloodline, meaning it could already be called a Hydragon.
By all rights, the Earth Dragon Bloodline should’ve been swallowed, but it seemed like Azariel managed to keep it alive with his Will and the combined help of the other resources he had given him.
Then there were the multitude of eyes that seemed the fusion of hydra and the arachnid. Since the hydra had nine pairs of eyes, the arachnid with only three eyes was also now forced to have as many as nine eyes, although he wasn’t sure how many were there since, after the dark smoke receded, Azariel hid it with a mask.
He could only wonder what the third eye possessed, other than the three original hexes.
It must be known that hydras were capable of learning curses and other Laws of similar nature since they had the Darkness and Poison attributes. They could learn Karma Laws as well, so they became capable of using curses later on in their lives.
Davis couldn’t help but nod satisfactorily.
"It’s just your avatar. You’re still the same old Azariel."
"But you have already prepared something for me, right?" Azariel turned to sleep comfortably while asking lazily.
"Perceptive. Good!"
Davis nodded satisfactorily, "I won’t let your true body stay weak. I had Gralex share his Emperor-Tier Six-Headed Hydra Bloodsoul Essence yesterday."
"I was thinking of going to ask senior..." Azariel said offhandedly, "Saves me the trouble, but I’ll make sure to visit him to get his explicit consent."
Davis nodded twice again, "Gralex agreed to aid you, so now, with the previous experience, you will be able to combine the two bloodlines of Hexena’s Hexweaver Chaos Dragon-Arachnid and Gralex’s Hydra together in your true body. I’ll let you convince your ’Mother’ Hexena yourself, lest you feel I’m doing everything for you. Later, as I said before, fuse your true body and avatar when you break through to the World Hegemon Stage. It shouldn’t pose a problem considering hydras always split their bodies and rejoin all the time."
"..." Azariel went speechless.
Everything he had, the resources he enjoyed in the family, was something his father and mother acquired. Was he going to complain at this point that it wasn’t his own work?
He had made constant progress thanks to his parents, but he also knew how he worked hard for it, part of the reason why he secretly fled the family to make a mark for himself among the geniuses in the Elemental Dimension.
He wouldn’t discount either factor when it came to his growth and was always eternally grateful.
Besides, ’Mother’ Hexena? Was that supposed to mean his father had accepted, or was he being made fun of for accepting a mother before his father even accepted them?
He was known to not easily accept new mothers, after all. Even if his mother, Evelynn, allowed it, he had to fight for her well-being and rights.
The new mothers often came to him since he was the first son, seeking to be called mother since that would mean that they were being truly accepted into the family, but since there were no threats to his mother, Evelynn, he really wasn’t a hardliner against new mothers, just making sure that they knew his displeasure while he didn’t do anything about it.
He chuckled weakly, "Haha, I’ll keep it in mind and visit later."
Although he was excited about the increase in prowess, he was just too tired. He wanted to sleep, but his avatar seemed excited, still wanting to test out his new powers.
The avatar gazed at Davis, wanting to battle more.
Azariel laughed at his avatar, thinking this split-off was sure aggressive, but he also recognized that his father could take anything he threw at him and had no reason to hold back.
Davis obliged at the battle intent being thrown at him, and responded politely.
A few hours later, he left a broken avatar in the secluded training grounds while Azariel’s true body finally recovered after some sleep.
He gazed at his bloodied avatar that was sprawled on the ground and laughed.
"Haha, you honestly thought you could beat Father at the same level?"
The avatar was recovering fast, but at this moment, a disgruntled, cold voice echoed.
"I thought I could overwhelm him with endless and dense poison, but he became fucking immune to the corrosion instead. Does this make any sense!?"
"Hahaha!"
Azariel held his stomach as he laughed out loud, "He baited you into harming him with greater amounts of poison while regularly getting injured by it in minor amounts, so his chaotic body became immune. Isn’t this the same method he used to become immune to that Void Calamity’s illness? Where did your battle instincts go? Are you really me?"
"Hmph! You watched the whole battle silently through me while resting. I won’t let you say you didn’t know that we had little to no time to think during the heat of the battle. Father’s scythe was ridiculously fast and deadly, and our six scythe bones could barely keep up. More than anything, we really wanted to see if he could counter our new darkness-water poison."
"..." Azariel went silent before he sighed, "Indeed. That scythe work was incredible. Without that speed, I think it’s difficult to even near the Celestial Transcendent’s skill, and most of all, Father wasn’t even serious against us. We still have a long way to go. However, your hexes are overpowered. Only Father and Mother Myria can defend against it since it is no longer something that cancels easily, even if it’s broken, but stays latched on due to the slithering darkness and heavy water attribute and fulfills its intended purpose like an endless curse until it runs out of energy. It wouldn’t be strange if people started fearing us like they fear father."
"True."
Azariel grinned, "Regardless, with the bloodline of the Nine-Headed Chromatic Trirachnid Hydragon-"
Azariel’s avatar also smiled behind the mask as he raised his hand towards the skies, "I finally have the power to protect the family!"
