Chapter 2324  Absolute Power

After hearing Shura's words, Tian Yang asked, "If you don't mind me asking, how strong are you compared to the others?"

Shura pondered for a moment before responding in a confident voice, "I am likely amongst the top ten strongest Eternals out there."

"That's pretty impressive, no?"

"Of course, it is."

"Alright. Then what about your goal? What are you trying to look for? Is it the same thing that Zaaran is after?" Tian Yang suddenly asked, trying to catch Shura off guard with his straightforward question.

Yet, Shura calmly responded with a clear voice, "Yes, it is the same thing. In fact, every Eternal that is involved in your world are all looking for the same thing."

Hearing this, Tian Yang couldn't fathom what was in his world that could possibly attract the attention of these god-like entities.

"Aboslute Power." Shura spoke a moment later, revealing his goal, his voice full of longing.

"It is a power left behind by the Absolute Being, the strongest Eternal to ever exist."

Tian Yang suddenly felt fatigued after learning of this information.

'My longevity had been sacrificed! And so much of it!' he cried inwardly, feeling like hundreds of millions of years had been taken from him.

If he hadn't reached the God Realm, this forbidden knowledge would've definitely killed him, even if he didn't know the limit of his longevity.

"If you—and all these other Eternals—desire this Absolute Power so much, why don't you just come here and get it yourself rather than letting someone do it? Not only are you messing with our lives, but aren't you afraid that we might steal the power for ourselves?" Tian Yang asked after recovering some of his energy.

Shura burst out laughing at Tian Yang's words and said loudly, "If we were able to enter your world, we would've done so ages ago!"

"Unfortunately, the power of the Absolute Being prohibits us from getting close to your world. Our influence is also limited within your world, so we can only rely on the mortals to act as our limbs. And since most Eternals see mortals as nothing but tools, they don't care about what happens to your people and are willing to go to extreme lengths to fulfill their own desire."

Tian Yang gritted his teeth and clenched his fists in frustration after learning the reason behind the Eternals' activities within their world.

"So the reason Zaaran destroyed Kulas' and his family's lives is just so he could find this Absolute Power? So they can become more powerful? What bullshit!" Tian Yang roared at the injustice.

Shura then replied, "The Absolute Power doesn't just make us more powerful. It will literally make us the most powerful entity in this entire universe."

"You guys are already powerful enough! Why do you need to become more powerful, let alone the most powerful being in the universe?!" Tian Yang asked.

"For the same reason you mortals continue to seek greater power. For the same reason the wealthy endlessly amass more wealth. For the same reason you pursued the God Realm even after attaining immortality," Shura said. "Instinct and nature drive us all—we are no different in that regard. It is never enough… and it never will be."

Tian Yang couldn't argue with Shura, as there was no fault in his words.

After a moment of silence, Tian Yang asked, "Can you tell me more about this Absolute Being?"

"I would, but you lack longevity."

"I still lack longevity? Even though I've reached the God Realm?" TIan Yang was speechless.

"Now that you've entered the God Realm, you should be aware that you're only at the lowest level, and that there are more steps to climb before you truly achieve godhood."

Of course, Tian Yang was already aware of this fact. The cultivation realms before God Realm were all the same, so why would this realm be any different?

"With that being said, there's really no reason to sacrifice so much longevity just to learn about the Absolute Being. You already know the most important thing—that he was the most powerful being in this universe. Why do you need to know more? Why seek knowledge you have no use for?"

"That's…" Tian Yang didn't know how to respond.

After a moment of silence, he sighed, "You're right. Then can you tell me how to find this Absolute Power?"

Shura shook his head and said, "Unfortunately, nobody knows how to find it. We are only certain that it exists within your world, but that is the limit of our knowledge."

"Can't say I'm surprised…" Tian Yang muttered. If the Eternals knew the location of the Absolute Power, they would've already acquired it long ago.

"Then what does it look like? And how would I know that I am close to it?" he then asked.

"Since nobody has ever seen the Absolute Power with their eyes, nobody knows what it looks like, but you should know that you've stumbled upon it the moment you do, since it will be unlike anything you've seen before."

"What? Not only do you not know of its location, but you don't even know what it looks like? You might as well tell me to find a ghost!" "If you are thinking that the Absolute Power is in the form of a treasure or something similar, then you are wrong. It has no physical form. Also, since it has the power to restrict an Eternal's power, then you will feel your powers weaken when you are near it, as I have gifted you some of my powers before."

"Your gift? You mean my ability to weaken another Eternal's influence?" Tian Yang remarked. "How would I know if such a power weakens when I can't even feel it?"

"What did you just say?"

Even though Tian Yang couldn't see Shura's face, he could somehow tell that there was a frown on it right this moment.

Shura continued speaking in a stern voice, "The power to weaken an Eternal's influence? I never gave you such a power! Explain yourself!"
