Chapter 2493: The True Origin of Demons

Chapter 2493: The True Origin of Demons

"..."

"..."

"...Huh?"

Everyone present wore expressions of bewilderment and disbelief as they struggled to process what Yuan had just revealed to them, and even Yan Hara stared at him with wide eyes.

Yuan cleared his throat and repeated, "You heard me correctly. The demons from the Demonic Realm used to be human just like us, but after a certain incident that I will not delve into for reasons, they have all turned into the demonic beings they are today."

The Demon Sealers exchanged glances with one another, yet not a single person uttered a word, as they were all far too shocked by this revelation.

Eventually, someone nervously raised their hand and asked, "S-Senior Tian... why won’t you explain something this important in greater detail? You can’t just drop such a massive revelation on us and leave it at that!"

"I also think so! If you’re going to tell us this, you might as well tell us everything! We can handle the truth!"

Yuan shook his head and said, "This is not a matter of accepting the truth. I am not revealing it for a good reason."

Seeing the stubborn look on Yuan’s face, the Demon Sealers quickly gave up on learning more.

Some time later, Yuan continued, "Now that I have revealed the truth about demons, allow me to tell you more about the Demonic Realm and their society."

"The Demonic Realm is separated into three major regions. The Bone Atoll, Death Paradise, and Crimson Continent, with the vast majority of demons dwelling within the Crimson Continent."

"Each region is ruled by its own ruler—the Supreme Ruler. If you want a comparison, they are akin to the Celestial Emperor, but there are three of them."

After revealing as much as he could about the Demonic Realm, Yuan asked everyone there, "Do I have any questions?"

"..."

After a long moment of silence, someone spoke up.

"Um... What is going to happen now?"

Yuan turned his head to the side to look at Yan Hara.

"What are you referring to?"

"The Demonic Realm... and the Forsakens that are still running rampant in our world. Are you going to reseal the Demonic Realm?"

Yuan nodded and said, "I will replace the seal on the Demonic Realm for now—at least until the entire world knows the truth about them. As for the Forsakens still in our world... I will hunt each and every single one of them until there is none left."

After a brief pause, he continued, "That said, I will not be hunting them personally. During my time in the Demonic Realm, I have made some unexpected friends, and they will be the ones to hunt them."

"D-Demons...?" someone asked in a nervous voice.

Yuan looked directly into his eyes and calmly replied, "Yes."

Multiple audible gulps echoed throughout the area as the Demon Sealers swallowed nervously at his response. None of them could have ever imagined that the Divine Paragon—the very person most obsessed with slaying demons—would one day befriend them instead.

Even if these demons were different from Forsakens, it was still shocking.

"Can they be trusted?" another questioned in a stiff voice.

"I trust them, but if they harm even a single innocent human, I will personally slay them," Yuan replied in a cold voice.

"W-Where are they right now?"

"They are already working hard to clean up the Forsaken in our world."

"Already...?"

After a few more questions, Yan Hara spoke again, "What about the Demon Sealing Clan? Will you return to being our leader?"

The entire Grand Library instantly fell silent as everyone turned to stare at Yuan with anticipation written all over their faces, clearly hoping he would lead them once more and allow them to experience what it was like serving under a living legend.

However, Yuan sneered disdainfully and said, "Why the hell would I take on something so troublesome?"

"Eh?"

Yan Hara and many others stared at him in shock, clearly caught off guard by his unexpected response.

"Even back then, I never wanted to become the leader of the Demon Sealing Clan. That position was practically forced onto me by the other Demon Sealers. Although I have returned, my era is long gone. If anyone is going to be the leader, it should be you, who fought with your life on the line."

"B-But..."

"There is no but," Yuan interrupted. "Not only have you received my legacy, but you are more than qualified to lead the Demon Sealing Clan with your skills."

"..."

Yan Hara turned to look at the crowd, uncertain whether they would truly accept her as their leader while the Divine Paragon himself was sitting right beside her.

"To the new leader of the Demon Sealing Clan, Yan Hara!" someone suddenly shouted, triggering an immediate chain reaction throughout the crowd.

"Leader Yan! Leader Yan! Leader Yan!"

Tears streamed down Yan Hara’s cheeks as the majority of the Demon Sealers present began chanting her name.

Of course, there were still a few who opposed her—mostly those who had once supported Qian Chu.

Suddenly, Yuan slightly raised his hand.

In an instant, the entire crowd fell deathly silent.

"I wanted to deal with this at the beginning, but I somehow forgot."

He slowly swept his gaze across the crowd before speaking in a cold voice, "Those of you who are not true Demon Sealers and are merely on Qian Chu’s payroll—or his spies—I’ll give you five seconds to get the hell out."

"If you leave of your own accord, I will pretend you never existed. However, if you continue contaminating this sanctuary with your presence, I will personally seal you for a thousand years..."

A chilling smile appeared on Yuan’s face as he continued, "...if I don’t forget about you and leave you sealed for eternity."

Almost everyone present felt a chill run down their spine after hearing those words.

Even though it was common knowledge that Demon Sealing Aura only worked on demons, not a single person there doubted Yuan’s threat for even a moment.

"Your timer starts now..."
