The string touched the nugget and began to wrap around it while bearing the immense pressure from the small violet crystal attached to it.

I moved very slowly; there is no need to hurry.

I could see that it considers the crystal and red sartil as its possession and is searching for them.

Well, it has to kill me to get it, and it will do that without hesitation as long as it finds me. So, I really hope it does not find me.

I don't want to die, and especially not in that place where nobody knows me.

I want my death to be known, not for the glory, but for the closure of my loved ones; I don't want them to keep searching for me.

The minutes passed, and they were painful. Every second, I feel like it will find me and kill me.

Over twenty minutes passed, and it didn't.

It seemed to finally give up at this time and moved inside the field, at the same speed. I could not see.

I might have been able to see if I had my abilities activated and soul sense, but that is suicide in here. The monster won't even take an instant to discover me if I dared to activate any of them.

It went inside the field and began moving as it was doing before, but I didn't dare to even twitch from my place.

Though I did take a small breath of relief.

I am temporarily out of danger, but I won't feel fully till I get out of this place—the whole violet field.

I kept watching the monster while my clone compared its movements to those of earlier ones. Telling me that it is still alert and looking for me.

I won't be moving till it relaxes, and I hope it won't take too much time.

I could stay in this place longer than most powerful, but I have a limit. Once it's over, this energy will tear through my armor and kill me.

Soon, an hour passed, and the monster was still alert. Not as much as before, but still alert.

So, I remained in my spot, even when another hour passed and then two more. I am approaching my limit, while my clones are helping it stretch, they won't be able to stretch it for long.

It was at the fifth hour that the monster finally fully relaxed.

Seeing that, more relief flooded my heart, but I didn't move immediately. Instead, I had waited; this might be an act, some monsters are good at it.

'It's time,' I said ten minutes later and took a step back without turning.

I stopped and looked at the monster and was relieved that it didn't sense me. So, I took another step back, then another, and another.

Soon, I couldn't even sense the monster, which made it worse, but I didn't stop; I kept moving.

On the way, I kept my greed in check. I didn't even look toward the blue-sartil pieces on the ground.

I have a found a freaking red-sartil and I am not going to risk my life for blue-sartil, when I have collected enough of it already.
