Chapter 4562: Answer
"The runes are a representation of the rules that govern the world," I stated as I began our first lesson on the runes.
She will need to have at least basic knowledge of them before she can start crafting her own inheritance. These are common runes, of course, not the ancient ones.
"You can describe everything through the runes, from the movement of a hand to a burst of fire,"
As I said, a gentle wind appeared before the fireball materialised above my hand. They only lasted for the moment before they had disappeared.
"Now, you will forget everything you think you know about the runes and begin with an open mind," I said.
The lesson lasted for two and a half hours, and by the time we finished, there were runes floating around us. The basics of the runes are also the most important.
I saw people go for the most complex ones, the powerful ones, but that is the wrong approach.
Basics are most important, for it is from these that the powerful are created. Especially for those trying to build their own inheritance.
The inheritance, that should not be the most powerful. That is not the purpose, as no inheritance could be more powerful. The purpose should be to craft an inheritance that allows them to use their strength most efficiently.
That is what I did.
"Thank you for the lesson, teacher," said Mira, breaking me out of my thoughts.
I smiled and got up from the chair; I have two hours before I have to open the clinic. So, I returned to my room and lay on the bed as I usually do.
Though today, I closed my eyes and appeared in my inheritance. The first time, I did it after weeks.
I didn’t plan to, but as I closed my eyes and found myself inheritance. This time, there is no feeling, which is what makes me want to get out and do nothing but lie on the bed.
I looked around, and a surprised look couldn’t help but appear on my face.
For me, it’s only a month, but here it is six, and a lot of things have changed in the six months. More plants grew, more resources matured.
The bees have grown larger as new generations emerge, and the plant has progressed further in its digestion and progress toward its next breakthrough.
I am quite surprised by it; I thought it would take a year, but it did that in less than half the time.
"It happened pretty fast," I said. "It will happen even faster," replied my clone, showing me a bunch of data that made me happy but also worried.
This one is going to advance into Silver Prime before I become Prime.
Which can be troublesome. If things didn’t go my way. I am not worried about keeping Silver Prime here. I know my core could easily.
It had acclimated to my core, and the longer it stays, the less pressure it will put on my core.
The thing I am worried about is control.
Looking at the direction of the changes, it will be a plant monster. It won’t be just the plans that run on basic instinct; it will be like a monster, and might even be sub-human intelligence.
That will make controlling it much harder. I have to make the preparations from now. So, I will be able to control it when it becomes Silver Prime.
It won’t be easy; the stronger they become, the harder they rebel, but there is no choice.
I can’t have a thing in my core that I can’t control.
I looked at the data for a while before I appeared in the beehives, which are growing well. Planting is eating quite a number of them, but new generations kept the numbers balanced.
The births aren’t as fast as before as the bees grow powerful, but my clone is managing things well.
Like collecting the honey.
I may not be able to sell it or give it to someone without risk, but the collection will never stop. There is a large collection of it had formed and kept growing.
If any Prime saw it or even Silver Prime, they would not hesitate to kill me for it.
It’s really precious.
I checked every hive and assessed the honey quality, which my clone manages well as always.
It might not seem like it, but beehives are carefully managed. To produce the best honey, my clones control what converted bees eat and how they produce the nectar they collect.
Many of the plants I had planted in the core are due to the bees, and after years, I have gained enough expertise to move the bees in the direction I want.
Its why all the bees of the five hives are so different from each other.
Each produces a special type of honey that I need for practice and other important things.
I walked out of the hives and went to the repository, which had grown even bigger with more stuff in it. Resources harvested and places here.
Looking at them, I couldn’t help but sigh.
The people are still looking at me with the same zeal as when they found out. Prime move at the slightest news of me. Its why I cannot take even the slightest risk.
I cannot sell these things, practice the profession I love so much, contact my friends, and do many other things.
I hate it, but it is what it is; even with all my power, I can do nothing about it other than hide and practice in a secluded place like this island.
I looked at everything before finally appearing at the library door and pushing it open.
I sighed as I looked at it.
My clones are still studying and working in the library. I stayed on my spot for over a minute, looking at the inheritance, before finally toward it.
I reached it, touched the formation, and the fog covering my mind seemed to vanish immediately.
The question that had been torturing me for a month simply answered itself on its own. I now know what kind of Inheritance I want my Prime Inheritance to be.
