Every soldier at the camp was doing their own job with most of them training, some were cooking and the others were watching over their crown princess’s little contracted beast. This Anteater is already in the demigod realm yet it was even lazier than a cat. It can grow big and grow smaller at will. Now that its master is not around, it returns to its colossal size and sleeps surrounded by a few bonfires lit by the soldiers as it was complaining about the cold weather lately.

The anteater beast king was bored to death and started singing like a child who doesn’t have anything to do. If it was not for the fact that they can understand it now that it was speaking in human language thanks to the crown princess asking it to talk that way instead of making animal sounds, they wouldn’t understand what it was saying. Suddenly, with its tail it poked the soldier who fed it with delicious food the most and had gotten used to after spending time in the camp.

All the soldiers looked at it when it asked such a question, they were actually worried about it throwing tantrums. This sentient beast is actually stronger than any of them and it only listens to the words of its master, the Crown princess, Ye Caoyun. Now that he is not around it would be hard to control this little one if he went out of control. They are thankful that its age was only that of a young child, if it was an adult beast king, it would have left on its own to find the crown princes which would lead to this camp being exposed and they being in danger. After all the moments those insects learned about their presence, they would definitely come over to devour them.

The Chef Soldier smiled and picked up one of the recently roasted insect flesh from the pile and gently handed it to feed the little one.

"Qiuqiu, shrink for a bit. This roasted zerg can be eaten now," said the soldier.

The sentimental anteater beast shrinks when it smells its favorite food and approaches his human cook.

{So delicious. So tasty~} the sentient beast king said.

The roasted zerg ant was actually bigger than a human adult but the anteater chose to eat it shrunken from all so he can experience what eating more meant. The chef soldier lightly pats the beast king’s back, aside from the crown princess only he was allowed to touch its soft fur which the human chef enjoyed doing so. Well, the reason it is allowed to do so is because he can cook lots of delicious food and the anteater who got sick eating raw insects fell in love with its cooking after offering some barbequed caterpillar zergs for him.

"Little one, don’t worry. Your master will be going home after he completes his mission. He only left with his husband to pick up the rest of his family members." The Chef soldier said. It was obviously coaxing it not to think too much of such things.

{I miss my master but I love eating you cooking the most. Chef, can I have one more?} A pair of round innocent eyes stare at the soldier chef making his heart beat in cuteness.

The soldier chef said, "Baobao, if you let me hug you I will give you another stick, okay?"

The sentient little anteater tilted its head as he couldn’t understand what this human servant of his was talking about. It actually couldn’t understand why this human wanted to hug him. But after thinking for a while, I agreed. It had nothing to lose at all, and even got a human hot bottle to give it warmth.

{If you give me one more stick, you can hug me until I finish eating!} The naive anteater declared.

The other soldiers in the area were stunned at first as they all chuckled collectively.

Everyone thought that taking care of such an intelligent beast would be a hassle but thanks to their head chef, this little one is completely subdued with food and it looks like it was quite a foodie. The soldiers watched as their chef held the little one in his embrace before giving it a newly roasted zerg ant which is its favorite. The soldier chef was smiling as he hugged the cuddly in his embrace as it was truly soft, much more comfortable to hug than silk covered pillows.

All of the sudden, the little beast had jumped off his chef’s embrace and returned to its original form baring its teeth against something before an empty space while pulling all the soldiers and the camp itself behind it. Everyone was startled but seeing the reaction of the sentient beast, they immediately realized that it had sensed something dangerous coming.

"There is an enemy!"

"Prepare for battle!"

"But I don’t see anything!?"

The soldiers immediately geared up sensing this and all nervously looked at the empty space where the sentient beast is on guard at. Then before their eyes, they saw someone punched through the space and like a broken glass, it fragments at the space shattered into pieces like a broken mirror. Moreover, the space was forcibly ripped and a dangerous yet familiar aura can be felt coming from it.

Both the Sentient Anteater and all the soldiers at the camp were on guard, vigilantly watching the shattered space and whatever might come out from it. Then in silence a soldier who rode the same space ship as the royal family couldn’t help but comment.

"Hm~, for some reason this scene feels familiar," the soldier said confusedly.

Another soldier asked, "What is familiar?"

"It looks like the scene when the ancestors come over to find his highnesses?" The soldier answered.

As if backing up his words, the two ancestors of their empire, the First Emperor and the First Empress had come out of the shattered space. What made it worse is that the world’s soul seems to be suppressing them. The moment their feet landed on the ground, glowing dao chains were suddenly wrapped around them like living roots. A pure black sword comes out of Lord Ye Xiajie’s body and cuts off the dao chains trying to suppress them. He jumps out light and floats glaring at the ground as if seeing through the thick layers of land under his foot.
