Chapter 1347: The New World Order 7
Wanda fell backwards and ended up sitting on the ground with an expression of shock on her face, not believing that she had actually survived an attack from the Earth Mother head on. Then she immediately realized that she had only survived because someone saved her, and that person was…
Looking back, Wanda saw Draco, still seated on his throne, his expression one of cold dissatisfaction as he lowered his finger after firing beams of destruction energy that destroyed all the vines Gaia sent down in her rage.
However, there was no time for Wanda to be mesmerized by Draco's omnipotence at this moment since Gaia's rampage was nowhere near done. Having her vines destroyed by Draco only seemed to enrage her more as she shrieked with madness, causing the people to groan once again, but they were soon protected by Eva as she cast mental shielding over everyone in attendance.
"Shut up!" Shuangtian roared with irritation, punching out a huge fist of brown energy that smashed through the portal and struck the body of the tree on the other side head on, cutting Gaia's shriek off as it turned from fury to agony.
A fist imprint was embedded on the place where Shuangtian struck, leaving Draco to nod with satisfaction. The battle with Eva for a whole week had greatly increased the power and Eternal Control of the two, enough that they could bring out more power to bear without harming the foundation of the universe.
Because of this, their lethality towards primordials, and even Gaia, had greatly shot up. Now, Draco did not have to make a move himself to harm Gaia, even Shuangtian's attack could now deal some surface-level damage to teach the Earth Mother a lesson.
"Go back and wallow in despair until we are ready to deal with you!" Draco decreed as he pointed a finger, releasing a wave of pure spatial power from his Space Branch.
The portal Gaia opened began to waver and rapidly shut to a close, with Gaia panicking and screaming in fear. "NOOO!!!"
However, her control over space was only mediocre, only the level of a normal Origin God, nothing like Draco's extremely high level and focused Space Branch. With his level of skill and familiarity, he not only sealed Gaia's portal, but her entire spatial realm, locking her away from the earth physically.
Now, as he said, she would only have to wallow in despair and not be able to make any moves on earth until Draco was sure he could kill Gaia faster than she could detonate the planet.
Even though they could create pocket spaces that were livable, it was essential to have a proper planet to act as a base. It was not for fun that the Gerdo Galaxy humans chose earth, so far away from their origin planet, more than twenty galaxies away from the Gerdo Galaxy, to be their backup home.
You should know that while they might not have the raw, versatile power like the Evil Trio's bloodlines, they had the technology to terraform existing planets and even gather ambient space debris using something akin to Pain's Planetary Devastation to coalesce a planet, then terraform that too.
Yet rather than create their own planet, they chose to seek a natural one so far away. There was a profound reason for this, and Draco factored that into his decisions when dealing with the primordials who had become more problematic in these past few days than before.
Anyway, now that they were dealt with, it was back to dealing with his own people.
Draco's eyes fell on the crowd and saw that thanks to Eva's shielding and Shuangtian's quick response, the people were mostly fine, just deeply shaken. They had once again borne witness to power that even fiction didn't dare to describe in detail, and they were even more subdued for it.
"As you can see, my unification of the human race is not just because of my despotic nature. There are hints of benevolence to it, and one of these hints is that we face extremely powerful external enemies." Draco said casually, the cameras that were still rolling capturing his handsome visage that was marred by his coldness.
"The primordials are only the first step of what you are to face. There have been many theories about extraterrestrial life and I have already shared with you the origin of our species as well as the details of some extraterrestrials."
Draco glanced around. "There are those like the Fermi Paradox, The Great Filter, The Dark Forest, and more. I won't go into the details of what they are, but I can tell you that there is a bit of truth to all of them."
"First things first, you have to understand the nature of life and existence, development and especially distance." Draco began, his lips curling into a disdainful sneer.
"Any empire or force that spreads out too far becomes bloated and experiences the phenomenon of local emperors disobeying the centralized authority. The same goes even moreso for the universe that is calculated in numbers that our brains cannot even fathom."
"Even for me, I can at most teleport from star cluster to star cluster within the Milky Way. Do you think a powerful alien civilization in the nearby galaxy has time to send out troops all the way here to conquer a mere us? What do we have that can make them move out this far?"
Draco's words left the people here feeling overwhelmed as they tried to picture the sheer scale of distance and logistics, but then they became puzzled. If this was the case, then why tell us about the external threats humanity was facing if none of them were willing to come over?
Draco rubbed his forehead slightly with exasperation. "Do the obvious deductions. I have told you that our original ancestors were the number 1 enemy of an entire galaxy of species due to how outstanding they are and they even banded together to lay a grand siege of proportions one couldn't even fathom."
"We are the final seeds that our ancestors left behind to seek a new beginning and possibly, seek revenge. Knowing that this is the case, what do you think that the remnants of those species are doing right now?"
The faces of everyone changed as they were finally able to get the message. Even if the distance was huge, there were a bunch of powerful extraterrestrials who had all the reason and motivation to comb the entire universe to find them, lest they grow up to become a threat to their continued survival.
In that situation, it was only the great distance between both locations that had saved them thus far, but for how long?
How long would they remain undiscovered from their ancient foes, who even if the current human race had no enmity towards, would not care and would not take the risk to make peace with if they were the stronger force?
Draco nodded with satisfaction. "Good, you understand. The years you've spent in Boundless World has really fixed the mentality of you sub-humans and that weak mentality that had been bred by peaceful living in modern society has been replaced with a hint of ancient predatory intent. You understand the law of the jungle and do not believe in peace that is won without force."
"So now that we have that out of the way, there is my purpose for all of this. In truth… I have very little reason to takeover or even help the human race in any way." Draco revealed bluntly, causing everyone to be shocked.
The man himself chuckled coldly. "Don't be surprised. A person aiming for takeover has a purpose in mind right? And there is also something to gain from it. It could be power, it could be wealth, and it could be the pleasures of the flesh."
Draco began ticking off his fingers. "Meanwhile, you all know that I have beyond god-like power already, I have the ability to not only gather wealth, but create wealth with my power and as for pleasures of the flesh…"
Draco arrogantly gestured to the two supreme women seated on either side of him. "No woman among you could match even an infinitesimal fraction of the perfection of my Eva nor my Shuangtian!"
Saying this, the two women casually unleashed their auras, Eva's a white light of benevolence and justice that was mirrored by her slight smile that showed maternal superiority over lesser women while Shuangtian was the domineering arrogance of the empress towards the commoner women in the empire.
These words, coupled with the aura release, left everyone feeling breathless unable to refute. Despite everything, there were more than a few present here and at home who felt dissatisfied by Draco stating that claiming sovereignty over humanity was worthless to him.
If it is worthless then why are you taking it? Why invest so much time and effort into establishing a new world order then?
But now, they found that their arguments to counter his points seemed flimsy when brought up against his reasoning.
As T.I once said, when you have the money, the cars and the girls, you are already sitting at the top of the world.
Surprisingly, Draco's tone became softer and less superior. "So for me, it's not about what I can gain, but about what I can leave behind. There is nothing more important to a creature with sapience than its identity. Tied to its identity is its sense of existence and purpose, and mine is tied to the survival and growth of humanity."
"It is easy to sit here like a God and disdain the mortals of the world, not willing to interact or interfere with them, but I don't believe in that. If I were to teleport my family and friends off earth to another earth-like planet in the wider galaxy, leaving you all behind to one day be found by our enemies, yes I will survive the cleansing that will soon happen, but to what end?"
"I will have so much power, a long lifespan and plenty of territory just to raise my own family, but who would I be? Draco or the human race? The race that was destroyed and turned into ashes? What would my history be and who would be there to verify it or corroborate it?"
"If I meet beings at my power level, my peers in the greater galaxy or universe and they ask where I come from, where can I point to? When I encounter new species and they wish to learn more about me due to my status, what will they find when they dig? An empty space full of space debris?"
Draco shook his head. "The original humans never cared much about you lot, only focused on their revenge. The moment they felt they were strong enough, they left the planet and only left some safeguards in case they failed."
"I grew up among the human race, among humanity, so I wish for its continued survival. Not only do I wish for its continued survival, but I also hope to see it spread across the stars and become an empire even grander than the one belonging to our ancestors."
Draco stood up slowly, his weight of presence leaving the crowd breathless as it felt like they had forgotten how to breathe.
"The current humanity is too disjointed, fighting within internally and wasting time with pointless racial discriminations, gender wars, political games and economic instability. All of these issues are simply hindering us from achieving our true destiny, but that will not be the case anymore."
Draco stretched his hand out, passing it over the entire crowd as it encapsulated them into his palm…
"And so we come down to it, my purpose for taking over humanity's rulership! Not for money, not for power, not for pleasure!"
…And then clenched the palm tightly, his eyes glowing with power.
"But for guidance! My sole aim in doing this is not to take but to give! To give the human race a path of ascension to achieve power, the power of our ancestors and especially the power to dominate all!"
