Chapter 1158: The Demon: Golden Mark Primal Green Dragon

Chapter 1158: The Demon: Golden Mark Primal Green Dragon

Ohm!

The moment Berfien stepped into the barrier formation, everyone turned their heads as a surge of intense mana fluctuations rippled through the area.

A Seventh Shackle Realm expert?!

"Vashno! Hold them off for me!" Alice shouted as she soared into the air. Her energy erupted, and the spear in her hand radiated a blinding light.

Swoosh!

Vashno glanced up at her figure and shouted back, "On it!"

He charged to the front lines, tendrils of writhing flesh bursting from his hands to intercept the Sixth Shackle Realm experts who had been clashing with Alice moments before.

The opponents he had been facing were already troublesome on their own. Now, with even more enemies joining the fray, Vashno knew he couldn’t hold out for long.

He was powerful—but the sheer number of enemies was pushing him beyond his limits.

...

Approximately eight hundred meters above the surface—

Alice’s energy surged sharply as strings of flesh wrapped around her entire body. Her golden eyes locked onto the incoming Seventh Shackle Realm expert.

[Golden Spear: Legend of Victory]!

In an instant, dozens of colossal, majestic golden spears materialized in the sky. Each one descended at blinding speed, carrying a power so immense it could shatter mountains and churn the seas.

[First Stance: Thousand Victory]!!

Alice unleashed her Archetype without restraint. Her dream power erupted, drawing in the emotions surging across the battlefield. The energy distorted the very air as she cleaved open the field below.

BOOM!!!

Countless soldiers at the front were caught in the onslaught. They could only stare in awe as the golden spears tore through them, their bodies disintegrating under the overwhelming force.

Berfien halted mid-flight, raising both hands before him.

A shimmering barrier formed in his path just as the golden spears came crashing down. The impact resounded across the skies, unleashing shockwaves that ripped through the battlefield.

BOOM!!!

The explosion blasted the purple gas away and swept up hundreds of soldiers. Even the nearby hills crumbled under the sheer power of the collision.

Berfien was visibly shocked by the sheer power behind Alice’s attack. He had never imagined that a Sixth Shackle Realm could unleash such devastating force.

"Unfortunately, I don’t have much time," Berfien said coldly. "So I’ll end this quickly."

He swiftly drew a crimson wand from his waist. His energy erupted skyward as he forcefully redirected the falling golden spears.

Bang!!

The spears tore through the land, carving deep scars into the earth.

Left hovering in the air, Berfien looked up at Alice’s figure. Slowly, he raised his hand and pointed at her.

"You’re dangerous."

A vast magic circle flared to life beneath his feet.

[Fallen Meteor]!!

In the next instant, a massive flaming rock materialized in the heavens. The meteor blazed fiercely as it pierced the clouds, its presence casting a deep shadow over the battlefield.

It breached the barrier formation—hurtling straight toward the Guardian Fortress.

It was three times larger than the fortress.

Everyone on the battlefield couldn’t help but look up at the sky in disbelief.

Alice narrowed her eyes. She could feel the enormous energy radiating from the meteor. Her mana surged violently as she gripped the golden spear with both hands.

With a fierce thrust, she unleashed her power,

and once again, countless gigantic golden spears materialized in the air.

They shot forward and collided head-on with the descending meteor, unleashing a cataclysmic wave of force.

BOOM!!

The impact tore through the atmosphere, sending violent surges of energy spiraling across the battlefield.

Alice gritted her teeth as she struggled against the might of a Seventh Shackle Realm expert. The difference in power was like heaven and earth.

"Argh!!"

Darkness began to seep from her body, her aura distorting under the immense pressure.

A moment later, a powerful explosion erupted, engulfing the sky above the Guardian Fortress. The energy blast rippled outward, crushing the air itself and weighing down every expert on the field.

The heavens roared, and both sky and land trembled from the overwhelming power.

A deep, thunderous rumble echoed through the land.

Boom!!

"What happened?!"

Torkez looked up, eyes wide. All he could see was a massive explosion erupting in the sky where Alice had struck the meteor aimed at the Guardian Fortress.

He clenched his fists. The battle unfolding above was far beyond his reach, he couldn’t even follow it, no matter how much he wanted to.

Eztein felt the crushing pressure radiating from the clash above. His expression darkened. "We’re at a disadvantage," he muttered, before shouting, "What about Kessa?!"

"Don’t worry, she’s in the fortress," Torkez replied quickly. "She’ll eliminate anyone who tries to get close."

With Kessa there, Doranjan’s safety was practically guaranteed. Unless an extremely powerful expert appeared, they had nothing to fear for the moment. Their task was simple—cut down as many enemies as possible.

"In the fortress? Can’t she at least intimidate these people?" Eztein grumbled. "We could really use some help right now."

Swoosh!!

A figure suddenly plummeted from the sky, crashing into the ground with a thunderous impact.

A massive crater formed, dust and smoke erupting outward in waves.

At its center stood Alice, barely. Blood trickled down her lips as she steadied herself, her spear trembling in her grasp.

Her flesh writhed and mended, the open wounds sealing in seconds. Even so, her breathing was ragged; her body trembled from the clash with the Seventh Shackle Realm expert.

Alice looked up at Berfien, her breathing ragged.

She knew the truth—she couldn’t defeat him, not even if she unleashed everything she had. When she struck the meteor, she had revealed her true form, pouring her full strength into that one moment. Yet even then, she was blown away as if she were nothing.

All she had done was prevent the meteor from reaching the fortress.

’That’s enough...’ she thought, her eyes narrowing. ’But more Seventh Shackle Realm experts will come soon.’

High above, Berfien met her gaze. His expression tightened as he assessed the damage. Deep down, he was shaken.

He hadn’t expected that a Sixth Shackle Realm could stop his attack—especially one capable of destroying the Guardian Fortress outright.

Silently, he began to withdraw.

He drifted backward, crossing the barrier’s edge, while signaling his subordinates to retreat as well.

He had accomplished his objective. The evolution inside the fortress was nearing completion. There was no need to risk his life any further—not when the other Hero-ranks would soon arrive.

"There are far too many capable people under the Blood Lightning Monster," Berfien muttered, his eyes flickering coldly. "Truly troublesome."

Ohm!!

Suddenly, a powerful best feram swept across the entire battlefield like a violent storm.

Every expert present—Spatial Whisperer, Ray Borg, and countless others—instinctively turned their heads toward the source.

In that instant, an invisible pressure enveloped the field. Allies and enemies alike froze as the weight of overwhelming power descended upon them.

The air itself trembled under the arrival of a presence far beyond the rest.

Inside the Guardian Fortress...

A massive cocoon of condensed energy floated above the deck, pulsing rhythmically as waves of raw power rippled outward in every direction.

Crack!

A single fracture appeared, then another. Within moments, dozens of cracks spread across its shimmering surface.

Then, all at once, a tremendous surge of energy burst forth from within.

A colossal pair of wings, sheathed in radiant green scales, tore through the cocoon. A second pair soon followed, spreading wide with blinding majesty.

Bang!!

The cocoon shattered completely, releasing a blinding explosion of light that illuminated the entire fortress.

From within emerged a gigantic dragon. Its eyes gleamed with pure emerald light, while two dark gold horns jutted from either side of its head—and a third, larger horn crowned the center of its forehead. Its body was covered in golden-green scales etched with intricate black markings, two tails coiling behind it, and thick greyish fur bristling along its back and elbows.

ROAR!!!!

A deafening roar shook the sky.

It was Doranjan.

He had ascended—achieving the legendary Fifth Evolution Stage.

The Golden Mark Primal Green Dragon had been born.

A towering, two-hundred-meter-tall dragon now stood upon the Guardian Fortress, its overwhelming aura radiating across the battlefield, pressing down on every soul who dared to stand.

Suddenly, the dragon’s massive form was enveloped in a bright green light.

In the next instant, the light condensed

and a humanoid figure appeared high in the sky, looking down upon the war-torn land.

His body still bore distinct draconic features, scales glimmered along his skin, and faint golden markings pulsed with divine energy.

"I didn’t expect... that I would truly reach this stage," Doranjan murmured, his voice resonating with newfound power.

He gazed at his hands, feeling the boundless strength surging through every fiber of his being.

Berfien, who had already retreated outside the barrier formation, stopped in his tracks. His expression darkened as he gazed at the sky.

"That’s... the Fifth Evolution Stage," he said slowly, his voice edged with disbelief. "The Blood Lightning Monster’s subordinate reached it before our Hero-ranks arrived?"

A Fifth Evolution Stage had appeared and the energy he exuded was beyond terrifying.

The morale of the Astros soldiers surged instantly. Their weary expressions turned fierce as they looked toward the shining fortress.

Meanwhile, despair spread through the enemy ranks. The moment they felt that overwhelming power, their formation faltered. The presence of a Fifth Stage monster shattered their fighting spirit.

...

Inside the Guardian Fortress.

Souta slowly opened his eyes, his gaze steady as the turbulent energy in the atmosphere washed over him.

"Doranjan has evolved..." he murmured, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his lips.

With Doranjan’s ascension, the Astros now possessed two Fifth Evolution Stage monsters within their ranks. The shift in power was immense—one being alone could change the course of a war, but two? Their entire military might had just taken a monumental leap forward.

With this, they could finally stand their ground—at least for a while—against the tide that was coming.

’Are you going to come out?’ Saya’s voice echoed within his mind.

’No, not yet,’ Souta replied calmly. ’It’s still too early. I’ll move when the time is right. For now, I’ll keep pushing... even if it’s just to gain a little more strength.’

His eyes gleamed faintly, crimson lightning flickering in their depths.

Outside, the battlefield trembled beneath the roar of the newly born fifth stage dragon.

Inside, the Blood Lightning Monster prepared for the storm yet to come.
