Chapter 4183: Battling Hui

Chapter 4183: Battling Hui

Greater Sancte Blood Tower had already calculated the location of Mister Mu’s megaverse and confirmed them with Kang Tian. The two of them had determined that the megaverse was about twenty years away from the Heavenly Karmic Macrocosm. It was even farther away than the Tricolor Skyborne’s home, though not in quite the same direction. Mister Mu’s home was slightly off to the side.

If the journey would take an ordinary Immortal twenty years to make, then given how fast Awecloud could be thrown, theirs should only take around two years.

Could Mister Mu last for two years? Lu Yin was not at all certain.

As time passed, Lu Yin continuously teleported with Greater Sancte Awe Gate and the others in tow, catching up to Awecloud each time. After every teleport, Greater Sancte Awe Gate would again throw her spear at full strength again. The entire process was repeated over and over.

Lu Yin also brought the red coffin along, just in case. Its defenses were nothing less than astonishing.

Kang Tian was dumbfounded. Is this really a method of traveling?

As they moved along, Greater Sancte Awe Gate showed no hint of any sort of dignity.

What shocked Kang Tian the most was Lu Yin’s ability to teleport. The snail had been completely ignorant to the fact that humanity had acquired this innate gift, and the existence of teleportation shattered every preconceived notion that Kang Tian had possessed.

It was real teleportation, but how could a human have such an ability?

Back when it had first learned that the Nest civilization had a creature that could teleport, Kang Tian had not dared to believe such a thing. The snail had been amazed by the existence of such a civilization. And yet humanity had now actually acquired that same ability.

Had another joke of the Aevum Inch become reality?

One year later, Lu Yin and the others brushed past a megaverse. When Awecloud streaked by, the spear drew the attention of that civilization’s powerhouses, but they all hid until after Awecloud passed by. The power of an Immortal was not something that they could resist.

Every time Awecloud was launched, Greater Sancte Awe Gate used her full strength.

She was repeatedly using enough power to face off against opponents at Lan Meng or the Immortal Lord’s level. Regardless of whether Awe Gate could defeat such an opponent, she at least possessed the strength to face such opponents directly, which was beyond the scope of most Immortals.

As they traveled, Lu Yin also scattered pathfinding stones so that the return trip would not be as rushed as it was now.

Another half year quickly passed by in the same manner as the first year. One day, the pathfinding stone attached to Awecloud showed Lu Yin a ruined megaverse up ahead. It was surrounded on all sides by countless gates that looked like walls. It was Mister Mu’s megaverse.

Inside the cauldron, Mister Mu opened his eyes and peered into the distance, his gaze trembling.

He was back. After countless years passed, he had finally returned home.

Awecloud became a streak of light that pierced through the gates. Lu Yin teleported with Greater Sancte Awe Gate and the others, entering the megaverse in an instant. Greater Sancte Awe Gate grabbed her spear, her head whipping around to look at the overwhelming silver mass in the distance. It floated in outer space like a drifting ocean.

Awecloud’s entry shook the entire megaverse.

The power of a spear wielded by an Immortal was as dazzling as the sun.

The silver sea twisted and spun to form a massive oval shape that shot towards the new arrivals.

Greater Sancte Awe Gate’s expression turned cold. “Leave this to me.”

With that, she stepped forward, thrusting Awecloud out.

Bang!

The universe distorted, and countless black spatial fissures spread out. The moment the two clashed, a vicious storm formed and swept across the whole universe.

Star after star shattered, and space ripped open like a tattered curtain.

Seeing the battle erupt in the distance, Mister Mu said, “This is enough.”

The cauldron separated back into nine as Mister Mu once again attempted to overcome Dukkha.

As the nine cauldrons spread out, an even stronger silver color surged forward from the distance, a voice ringing out from within. “You? You dare return? You want to break into the Immortal realm? Ridiculous!”

A rift opened up. Greater Sancte Awe Gate held Awecloud and pointed the spear at her distant target. “Ridiculous or not, you must get past me first.”

“You seek death!” The silver sea surged forward, smashing into Greater Sancte Awe Gate.

Her rift inverted, rising to meet the silver.

The universe started to collapse, trembling.

Space around Kang Tian flicked as the snail spread a spatial mire across the nearby region.

From all directions, silhouettes started to appear. Hui was not alone; the entire Hui-Silver Sky Army was present as well.

Lu Yin’s eyes were frigid. This was the day when he made the Hui-Silver Sky Army vanish forever.

At the same time, the choice he faced regarding Obscura would also be settled.

Kill.

The void shattered, and an entire portion of the universe was destroyed. Lu Yin had attacked without mercy, and the stars were stained with blood. The Hui-Silver Sky Army suffered catastrophic losses from that single attack; it was a one-sided massacre.

Far away, Hui had not expected a powerhouse like Lu Yin to be present as well, given the presence of Greater Sancte Awe Gate and Kang Tian.

Hui was completely unconcerned about Kang Tian standing guard over Mister Mu’s breakthrough. That was because an Immortal was still an Immortal, and they were bound by a karmic chain and restrained from taking action. As long as Hui could overpower Greater Sancte Awe Gate, it would be possible to interfere with Mister Mu’s breakthrough.

Lu Yin’s appearance was entirely unexpected.

Hui had never considered the possibility of such a powerful Aberrant showing up. The Hui-Silver Sky Army was completely crippled before Lu Yin.

One bizarre figure after another charged at Lu Yin; there were humanoid forms, beast forms, and every other possible shape imaginable. Every variety of innate gift was demonstrated, but none could survive even a single move from Lu Yin.

The gap between the members of the Hui-Silver Sky Army and Lu Yin was far too great. Anyone capable of blocking even one of Lu Yin’s attacks could be considered a top expert, possibly even a peak Dukkhan, but so what? Even if someone could stop one of his strikes, the second would be impossible to block.

Kang Tian still remembered the day when countless of its kind had been slaughtered.

The current scene before the giant snail was too familiar.

Boom, boom, boom, boom...

Deafening drumbeats shook space, creating ripples in the void as if it was water before everything shattered. The entire universe shook.

Lu Yin raised a hand, his fingers clenching into a fist. He released a massive amount of power to suppress the drumbeats.

But while his power could tear the void apart, as well as everything within it, Lu Yin could only unleash destruction in a single direction. The drumbeats came from everywhere, and they caused space to roil and churn. It was as if countless tiny insects were leaping and crushing the universe.

Far away, Greater Sancte Awe Gate expanded her rift in an attempt to engulf the silver sea.

The silver twisted and condensed into a gigantic humanoid figure that raised a hand and smashed down upon the growing rift.

The rift continued to expand without stopping, but the silver humanoid did the same. The two colossal figures clashed.

Greater Sancte Awe Gate could not suppress the silver, but the silver could not overwhelm the rift either.

The Hui-Silver Sky Army universally retreated, none daring to face Lu Yin. Only the drumbeats, rising from some unknown location, continued to attempt to assault Mister Mu, trying to disrupt his breakthrough.

Lu Yin lifted his hand. Strands of Tri-Azure Sword Intent gathered as they were infused with more and more Immortal matter. The number of slashes climbed higher and higher: tens, hundreds, thousands, and then tens of thousands. Release.

Tens of thousands of Tri-Azure Sword Intents sliced out in all directions, ripping the void open and cutting through the Hui-Silver Sky Army. The slashes cleaved space itself, carving away the region around Mister Mu and separating him from the drumbeats.

As the Tri-Azure Sword Intent continuously slashed through the universe, Lu Yin released his consciousness, spreading it outward. There was no one, not a single person.

In the Thread of Heaven, the individual from the Hui-Silver Sky Army had carved the words “domesticated” into the stone to enrage the ones who had escaped from the megaverse and bait them into returning.

But upon arriving, it became clear that there was no domestication at all. The entire megaverse was empty.

Humanity had been completely eradicated from the megaverse.

It was tragic.

The Third Rampart and Mister Mu’s home megaverse had both suffered extinction. Obscura had destroyed another human civilization.

Who knew how many human civilizations had been scattered across the cosmos after the fall of the Nine Ramparts that the Seven-Treasure Anuras’ ancestor had mentioned? Who knew how many still existed?

Lu Yin’s eyes grew even colder as he unleashed the Tri-Azure Sword Intent again.

He was determined to erase the Hui-Silver Sky Army from the Aevum Inch.

Silver continued to fight against the rift. Hui had not expected Mister Mu to return so well prepared. With only Hui and their Hui-Silver Sky Army, it would be hard to stop things. Fortunately for them, there was a gate present.

A streak of silver shot towards the edge of the megaverse, where one of Obscura’s gates lay.

As long as the gate could be activated, it would be possible to contact Obscura and summon reinforcements.

Just as the silver was about to reach the gateway, a streak of Tri-Azure Sword Intent severed it.

Lu Yin suddenly appeared beside the gateway, and he turned to look at the overwhelming silver humanoid in the distance. He had already known about the gate, as he had learned of its existence from Mister Mu.

Mister Mu had warned Lu Yin that Obscura had left a gate in his megaverse, and Lu Yin had kept an eye on it from the beginning to prevent anything from coming through.

Hui had just deliberately tried to activate the gate. It was clear that it had wanted to call for help.

That could not be allowed.

“I should have guessed long ago that he was hiding in your human civilization. Damn that Qi Xu! Absolutely stupid! She was killed by you, and you even hid the evidence of her death. You humans deserve to die!” Hui roared as the drumbeats thumped more violently, rocking the universe.

Outside of the megaverse’s boundary, the endless gates started to shatter, one after another, as the whole megaverse began to sway.

Gates flickered around Greater Sancte Awe Gate, appearing around Awecloud’s blade. She stabbed her into the silver humanoid, piercing through it.

Lu Yin’s eyes narrowed. Could Hui be stabbed so easily?

Suddenly, Greater Sancte Awe Gate’s rift shrank, and her expression changed. What was going on?

The gigantic silver humanoid clenched both fists and smashed them down upon Greater Sancte Awe Gate. She raised her spear, but the blows still struck her body, driving her down.

Lu Yin threw out Shan Barrens and pulled Greater Sancte Awe Gate into the card. The silver arms hammered down again, engulfing Shan Barrens.

The card flashed away, only reappearing when it was already in Lu Yin’s hand.

Greater Sancte Awe Gate emerged and stared into the distance, no longer as confident as before.

“Senior, what happened?”

“Some of my power vanished.”

Lu Yin did not understand. “What do you mean?”

Greater Sancte Awe Gate frowned tightly. “When I touched the silver, Heartrift Power was expelled from my body.”

“How is that possible?” Lu Yin looked toward the distance.

The silver humanoid collapsed into an ocean of surging waves, moving to smash into Lu Yin and the others once again, even as another part of it rushed for Mister Mu.

Kang Tian instantly bristled, but the snail did not dare to flee. As long as Hui was not focusing their full power on Kang Tian, the snail had some confidence in the durability of its shell.

Greater Sancte Awe Gate stepped forward. Again.

The sea of silver suddenly scattered like falling raindrops. Across the universe, silver replaced black. Not only were Greater Sancte Awe Gate and Lu Yin enveloped, but the silver droplets also spread out to cover Kang Tian.

Greater Sancte Awe Gate released multiple gates, spreading them out sideways. The silver droplets passed through the gates, vanishing as they tried to rush at Lu Yin and everyone else.

Even at this point, Awe Gate still had not found Hui’s true position. It was possible that the silver mass was Hui’s body, but it was also possible that it was only the Immortal’s power.

Lu Yin offered a reminder, “Senior, we don’t need to rush things. Hui’s much more anxious than we are.”

Lifeforce continued to pour out of the nine cauldrons. Mister Mu was overcoming Dukkha, and his face was vacillating between expressions of pain and relief. He had returned home. No matter what happened, this was where his Dukkha lay.

He had a very good chance of succeeding in his breakthrough.

Lu Yin was right; there was no need for them to hurry. The only one who was really in a rush was Hui.

The gates blocked the silver rain, preventing it from disturbing Mister Mu. A moment later, the silver sea abruptly shrank, compressing to about the same as Lu Yin and the other humans, and it even took on a humanoid form. Hui had appeared.

The silver being had no fixed form. It was liquid silver and could take on any form.

The creature had chosen to take on a humanoid form in order to confront Lu Yin and the others.
