"Just what made you so curious about this place? There's nothing out of the ordinary here for you to get so worried."

I heard Redgaria's annoyed complaints as we made our way toward the Academy of Gods.

It was the largest series of buildings right behind the castle, including a massive tower, a dozen stadium-sized buildings, and hundreds of classrooms and training areas. The Academy even had three arenas, its own private dungeons, and a massive labyrinth with over a hundred floors, all built by the Gods and Redgaria, along with most of my wives.

"What's so wrong with her coming to check it out, Redgaria? You don't have to be so hostile. There's nothing wrong with it."

Freyja was by his side, walking with a dignified aura. She wore a long pink dress with white ribbons and glasses, her long pink hair tied into a ponytail. She carried books and pencils.

"I know, Freyja, but she could be a bad influence for the children..." Redgaria scoffed.

"Bad influence? Okay, you're going a bit too far now!" I said angrily. "I am a good influence on all children! They will be inspired by my adventures and hardships!"

"I wouldn't go so far," Freyja said. "But you are indeed popular. As the worshipped goddess and empress of this entire country, your figure is almost a myth to most."

"I had no idea it went that far... and Freyja! You look great as a teacher. I had no idea you were also working at the academy," I said. "I'm glad you're finding ways to distract yourself."

"Well, thank you," Freyja smiled lightly. "I still miss my brother and my child, but I know that we cannot simply jump into danger, especially when we don't even know what's currently happening and we are still investigating everything. I joined because I wanted to distract myself, but also to investigate further what the Spirits from the Spiritual Plane truly are and use this to find them."

"I see. How is the investigation going?" I asked.

"Fairly well. With the Academy's equipment, our group has already found out quite a few things," Freyja said. "Such as the dimensional connection to the Spiritual Plane and even the structure within these rainbow-colored crystals Odin left behind, which I believe belong to the Spirit Empress."

"Oh, that's amazing!" I said. "I'm sorry for not being able to help with these things. I've been so busy with so many things."

"No worries. After all, this is my problem, and I don't want to force you to work hard for something that's not really your problem to solve," Freyja said. "You've helped us plenty, and I wanted to be useful somehow. Teaching the new generations while also investigating a way to create a gate to the Spiritual Plane at any moment and easily find our foes is my way of helping you, Kireina."

"Thank you," I nodded.

"Actually, we've found more than you think," Freyja said. "Somehow, being infected by this Spiritual Power and then transforming through it, while keeping a Spiritual Heart within, has connected me deeply with these materials. We've already created a device, with the technology your wives and the humans provided, to detect lifeforms from the Spirit Plane across multiple worlds."

"Already?!" I was caught off guard. "Well, okay then."

"And we've already detected that there are large quantities of this spirit energy moving on their way to Genesis, while another group remains in Abyss and seems to be doing something else, perhaps sneaking into that world you're visiting," Freyja said. "Are they working alone? Have they made an alliance with the Sun God? It's currently unknown what they're truly planning to do, but I am sure that they want to collect more World Trees, and they're aiming for those that exist in that world."

"Why World Trees in particular?" I asked.

"It's still not completely known, but we've made some theories," Redgaria said, his gaze becoming serious. "We believe the Spirit Empress is aiming to ascend into something beyond her level. For that, she's aiming to absorb as many World Trees as she can, as they possess the highest and purest quantity of Spirit Energy in the universe."

"Would the Primordial Yggdrasil even allow her to keep eating her children, though?" I wondered.

"She cannot easily intervene in this plane. She's a Constellation for a reason," Freyja explained. "However, you and Flora are her heralds, avatars of her power and those who carry her blessings, so it is kind of your responsibility to take care of this problem..."

"Ah..." I fell silent for a moment. "Damn it. Okay, can you give me one of those devices?"

"Of course," Freyja nodded. "Once we pass near the Alchemical Laboratory, I will give you one."

"Good," I nodded. "And here we are."

We stepped into the entrance of the academy, with large walls made of glowing cosmic stone decorated with paintings and jewels of divine power. A potent force field protected the area.

"We are here on the weekend, so only students who participate in special club activities attend," Freyja explained.

"Yeah, but there are like a hundred clubs, so even on weekends, this place is crowded," Redgaria said, looking around.

As we stepped inside and saw the large, beautiful buildings, the plaza at the center, and the fountain with a statue of myself, dozens of students walked, ran, and played around the area.

There were quite a lot of young gods here. The youngest seemed to be barely ten years old, with the oldest being practically young adults beyond sixteen years of age.

My kids didn't come today, as they decided to laze around back home and then go shopping in the city or something, so today I would only be meeting new faces.

And whew, there were so many!

"Boooh! Hehehe!"

"Uwaaah?!"

I saw a ghostly-looking young god with pale white skin covered with bone-like plates resembling natural armor, long silver hair, and blue eyes, sneaking behind students and scaring them by passing through the walls.
