Chapter 2886 - 2887: The Supreme Gods

-----

"Alright, so how has everyone's life been so far?"

Nurse Lucy of Tokyo High School greeted the three teachers gathered in the quiet room.

A man with silver hair and piercing gray eyes—the director.

A lady with long, cascading blonde hair and vibrant green eyes—the nature and botany teacher.

And a carefree young man with clear brown skin, long dark blue hair, and glowing golden eyes—the English and foreign languages teacher.

Hosting the meeting was Nurse Lucy, known outside these walls as Lucifer, the Prince of Pride and Ruler of the Hell Dimension.

The silent, handsome director, rumored to share a complicated bond with her, was the Jester God who had once toyed with Kireina's early life: the System God.

The gentle, motherly botany and nature teacher was Flora, the Supreme Goddess of Life and Nature.

And the relaxed language instructor was Aura, the Supreme God of the Star Ocean, who had forged over a trillion stars within the Heavenly Domain of Genesis and shaped its very cosmology.

All four had settled into these new lives while quietly investigating this world, gathering crucial information and steadily growing stronger.

"I've mostly adapted to this existence," the Director said, adjusting his glasses. "Though I can't say I enjoy it, it is peaceful in its own way. Still, this world is staggeringly complex and vast, with over thirty Heavenly Domains brimming with immense power and hundreds of thousands of Deities concealed from human society."

"I've discovered a Primordial Heaven Tree connecting all the Heavenly Domains," Flora added softly. "Its roots reach deep into the planet's core and soul. The immense weight of those Domains is slowly tearing the world apart. Like Genesis before it, this planet might soon shatter."

"I've been searching for a way to prevent the collapse," Aura sighed. "I believe I've found a potential solution, but it would require the cooperation of every Heavenly Domain and every God—an outcome that feels nearly impossible. I suppose Kireina has already located most of the people she came for. This entire Dimensional Labyrinth feels deeply unnatural. I sense Higher Beings scheming around her. It worries me."

"I received a message from her this morning," Lucifer said calmly. "Tonight at 10 PM, on Mount Takao, a large-scale event will unfold. Her organization will face many of her enemies there. A massive concentration of Fate is gathering in that place. Something monumental—something that could alter the world, or perhaps the universe itself—is about to happen. We should prepare."

"The Usurpers of Destiny, who have been silently plotting not only Kireina's downfall but our complete destruction, are finally beginning to act," Flora murmured. "I can feel the pull of Fate growing stronger here. Something immense is approaching."

"I feel it too. It's irritating," the System God sighed. "And Kireina has done something to the System again. Even though I wasn't originally linked, she reconnected me. It's bizarre. Have you all noticed?"

"Yes, we're all connected to her System now," Aura confirmed with a nod. "A beautiful pillar of light. It seems our girl has finally ascended and unlocked her true potential."

"I'm in awe of what she's accomplished," Flora said quietly. "Kireina has grown even stronger. I've become more powerful in this world too, but I wonder if I can even stand against her now."

"Everyone has their own talents and strengths to contribute," Aura replied warmly. "Don't feel left behind."

"I agree," Lucifer nodded. "In Hell, chaos is stirring once more. Though we're no longer under invasion, my fellow Archdemons have grown fed up with me—except for sweet little Mammon, who's been holding them back."

"So the remaining Archdemons have united under Belphegor, just as Kireina predicted?" Flora asked. "What exactly are they trying to achieve here?"

"Isn't it obvious?" the System God said. "They crave this powerful Cosmic World—an Origin World, or at least a recreation of one. Who wouldn't? Endless riches and resources lie here. But they could never have advanced this far alone against so many Gods. They clearly have the backing of two other entities—or more."

"The Sun God and a mysterious shadowy figure," the System God continued. "Redgaria's agents in North America reported sightings of them abducting a certain girl."

"Ah... things aren't looking good," Flora whispered. "Why do I feel this heavy sense of foreboding? As though something truly terrible is about to happen soon."

"Because it will," the System God said gravely. "Even so, we must prepare. We can no longer back down."

"Hoh, you've certainly changed, my dear," Lucifer laughed lightly. "I still remember when you wanted to betray your mother and collect World Cores to ascend. Now look at you—cooperating with us."

"Haha, well, after being repeatedly beaten by Kireina, he had no choice but to change!" Aura burst out laughing.

"Tsk, shut up..." the System God muttered.

Flora smiled gently as she watched her fellow Supreme Gods banter and joke. Once she had viewed them only as rivals or even enemies, cooperating solely out of necessity. Slowly, she had come to realize how deeply she valued them.

They were her friends.

"Whatever the future holds, let's face it together," Flora said, her voice warm and steady. "Kireina has done so much for us. Let's repay her kindness and protect this new home we've grown to love."

"Fufu, that's the spirit," Lucifer said with a nod. "I once believed I would never interfere or involve myself personally, but I've grown far too fond of all of you. I never imagined a being like me could develop something as simple as friendship. Perhaps I've finally repented... or perhaps not. Well, I don't regret a thing, hah!"

"Always turning serious matters into jokes," the System God sighed. "Anyway, as a System God, I've somehow gained remarkable access to Kireina's power. She could have cut me off, but she allowed me to manage a portion of it. Whatever her plan may be, I suppose I should fulfill my role and help however I can."

"Well said, friend!" Aura declared, clapping the System God on the shoulder. "Isn't it wonderful? Even knowing something terrible is coming, we aren't consumed by fear. We have one another. I had long forgotten what it felt like to form such deep bonds—since I lost the love of my life eons ago. Kireina may not be here, but through what the System has become, a piece of her lives within our hearts. So... thank you, friends, for being here right now, and for helping however you can."

Flora laughed softly at Aura's emotional outburst, shaking her head. "I wonder what the others we left behind would think. That little brat who managed Souls and Reincarnation... I miss her sometimes."

Lucifer smiled warmly. "Ah, I'm sure we'll reunite with our old friends soon. Don't worry."

No one fully understood what Lucifer truly meant, but the King of Demons and Ruler of Hell gazed toward Mount Takao with quiet certainty.

"Are you ready, Kireina? In a couple of hours, everything will change forever..."
