Chapter 2918 - 2919: Everyone Joins The Battle
-----
Frank opened his eyes and found himself sitting atop a mass of black clouds. His eyes widened as he realized these black clouds were her.
"I-Izanami?!"
"It's me…! Are you okay?"
"Why? You saved me?"
"…"
Frank slowly floated midair. His eyes widened further as he saw Abyssian laughing, beginning to summon hundreds of Heart Avatars to slaughter everyone.
He noticed Izanami had been reduced to this mass of black clouds—she was terribly weakened.
Half of Yomi had been erased as well.
He also saw several other groups scattered throughout the void.
Lord Chaos stood with the Chaos Gate people.
Harumi and Erika were here, accompanied by Vampires and Werewolves… and their parents, who looked bruised and exhausted.
"That bastard unleashed a kamikaze attack, destroying his own heart! Then he devoured all the Chaos Kings to gain immense power and become even stronger…!" Frank clicked his tongue.
By his side, two cosmic beasts manifested: a beautiful small red-and-golden dragon, Ruby, and a glowing black metallic slime, Onyx.
Both had evolved through Frank's training in Susanoo's Heavenly Domain, consuming divine beasts and materials.
Fran had kept them safe from danger, but he needed their help now.
"Michael…! I will heal everyone here…!" Frank said. "Please, help me out!"
"What?! Frank, do you even have the lifeforce for that?!" Michael asked in disbelief, manifesting as a gigantic archangel made of light.
"Izanami saved my life. I might be the only one with so much lifeforce here," Frank said. "I'm sorry, but I have to…"
Michael sighed and shook her head. "I don't have any other option."
She, Ruby, and Onyx rushed toward the Avatars, battling them with everything they had.
But their help would be nowhere near enough.
Frank began gathering his powers, spreading them into countless rivers of light.
But would he finish in time?
Then.
It happened.
RUMBLE!
More Dimensional Fragments fell, but these moved on their own.
"Hm?!"
Abyssian noticed something odd as the Dimensional Fragments started bombarding his Heart Avatars with attacks.
From one fragment, beams of sunlight, death, and life struck them, making the Avatars explode one after another.
From another, thousands of swords of light and elements manifested, slashing and stabbing the Avatars, tearing them to shreds.
These mirror-like Dimensional Fragments floated midair, rapidly manifesting the power of the beings within them.
"Who…?! Even more meddlesome insects?!" Abyssian groaned, glaring at the source of the attacks. He swung his claws; unleashing splitting strikes made of distorted spacetime. "PERISH!"
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
The Dimensional Fragments shattered, revealing the gods inside.
From one emerged spirit gods led by a pair of centaur sisters.
From the other surged Egyptian gods led by a scorpion and a black jackal.
"As I thought, weaklings— Guh?!"
But before Abyssian could finish, a blinding sword of light and elements descended and pierced his stomach.
"Gaaah?! Who…! Who do you think you are?!"
Nesiphae and the rest of Kireina's wives looked into the skies, noticing those who had just arrived.
As if Fate's Attraction Force had drawn them together again.
"T-That's…! Sofarpia?! Sofelaia!" Zehe cried, recognizing the Centaur Princesses of a kingdom Kireina had once saved from evil vampires led by Agatheina when she was evil.
"It's really them…!" Agatheina muttered.
"I can't believe it, is that Nefertiti?!" Alice asked.
"A-And Auntie Nixephine!" Alucard celebrated.
"They're here!" Nanako said happily.
"Oh my gosh!" Kaguya cried. "You girls are back! A-And you're so strong?!"
Compared to them, it seemed these four had endured even wilder journeys in this world!
Nixephine had become Serket, an Ancient Egyptian Goddess.
Nefertiti had become Anubis himself—no introduction needed.
Sofarpia and Sofelaia had become incredibly powerful Spirit Goddesses leading a band of Spirit Gods.
"Hey girls!" Nefertiti smiled. "Finally, we've found you even amid this chaos!"
"Yeah!" Nixephine said. "But what in the world is going on?! From one moment to the next, we were all dragged here…! Ra was snatched by a giant white hand and he's gone too! And a bunch of other gods as well…"
"Everyone…!" Sofarpia said happily. "The same happened to us…!"
"Is that monster the cause of all our troubles?!" Sofelaia asked angrily.
"And so what if I am?! What are you going to do, weaklings?! PERISH ALREADY! ALL OF YOU DIE!"
Abyssian had enough of weaklings gathering everywhere to pointlessly oppose him!
His Heart Avatars attacked the new invaders.
Sofarpia and Sofelaia held hands. The Spirit Gods fused into their Auras as both centaur sisters suddenly became majestic Spirit Goddesses of even greater power.
"Yggdrasil Spirit Soul Fusion – Holy Elemental Sword Of Judgement!"
The same sword that had wounded Abyssian was summoned once more—enormous, forged of holy light and the elements—slashing through his Avatars by the dozens.
Nefertiti and Nixephine smiled and fused into a giant divine beast: half black jackal, half golden scorpion.
The other Egyptian gods, with no choice but to fight, merged atop them, further boosting their power as they charged.
Using pincers, claws, fangs, and powerful divine magic, they began killing dozens of Heart Avatars at once, dodging deadly attacks with dexterity.
"Tsk! Worms! Insects! Meddlesome ants!"
Abyssian grew more and more furious. What he thought would be an easy victory had become far more challenging than he imagined.
Managing to buy enough time, Frank spread his Gift of Life threads to the nearest fighters.
Beowulf and Clementine.
FLUOSH!
"Huh?! What's this!"
"A-Amazing!"
Overflowing with immense vitality, the two leaders of Vampires and Werewolves were stunned as they realized who had donated lifeforce to them.
"F-Frank?!"
"It's him!"
Harumi and Erika, who were being protected, gasped as they saw Frank healing their parents so they could fight.
"Please, King Beowulf, Queen Clementine…! We need your help!"
Hearing Frank's plea, Beowulf smiled confidently and took out a crushed habanero, smoking it. "Aight' kid, you won me over!"
Clementine smiled lightly, realizing how strong Frank had become. "Thank you, Frank. I will repay this debt a hundredfold later, if we survive."
Before leaving, both looked back at their daughters.
"Erika, take this." Beowulf threw her something—a gleaming golden rune manifested from his heart. "Ulric told me to give it to you earlier, but I was the dumb one for delaying it… Now my bro is no longer here, so I cannot keep delaying it any longer."
"Eh? What's this—Aaaahh!" Erika cried. The Golden Rune, shaped like a howling wolf, merged with her Soul and Body, suddenly unsealing immense divine power. "W-What's this?!"
"When you were born, you had too much power, dear," Beowulf said. "I sealed it away before a great catastrophe could occur. If push comes to shove, it'll be on you to protect your friends."
"Dad…" Erika shed a few tears, feeling her power rise exponentially as the legacy of the Ancient Wolf, Fenrir—ancestor of her family—began to manifest. "I understand!"
At the same time, Clementine did something similar. Without giving anything physical, she merely waved her hand, awakening Harumi's bloodline.
"W-What is this?" Harumi asked in disbelief.
"I was hoping you could achieve this on your own after a couple of years, but it's time to get serious," Clementine sighed. "My dear daughter, my dear son. If something ever happens to me, the family is in your hands."
"Mom…"
"…"
Harumi and Mammon watched her leave. She charged alongside Beowulf, tearing through countless Heart Avatars to protect everyone else.
Meanwhile, in a corner of the void, Amaterasu saw someone within a Dimensional Fragment that had fallen nearby.
"Matsuo…"
"A-Ah… Ugh…! Ahh! Amaterasu-sama?!"
Matsuo gasped as he saw the great goddess, founder of his clan, standing before him.
"I suppose that stubborn woman did something stupid again if she's a soul once more," Amaterasu sighed. "With her dead again, I suppose you should become the vessel for my divine power."
"What?! No! I am not worthy!" Matsuo cried in disbelief. "Please I…! I committed so many mistakes…! I…!"
"I committed many mistakes too," Amaterasu smiled warmly, her eyes full of regret. "I misjudged her. I misjudged everyone. Years of grudges, and now that we face a common enemy, we are forced to band together—to survive… but above all, to protect the little ones we love so much."
"…!"
Matsuo suddenly felt something hot on his forehead. A Rising Sun-shaped rune manifested, and from within his Soul and Body, a near-endless source of divine power poured forth, enhancing him even further and stacking with the Mountain God's powers.
Amaterasu stood as Frank healed her. She looked into the distance and summoned a pair of blinding sunlight blades.
"Tsukuyomi, protect the boy and everyone else," she said sternly.
"Yes, sister… but are you sure?" Tsukuyomi asked, his face full of worry.
Amaterasu smiled back and nodded. "Why wouldn't I? It is the duty of an Empress to protect her people."
While staring in disbelief, Matsuo watched Amaterasu, Beowulf, and Clementine team up. They fought against Abyssian's immense, never-ending army of Heart Avatars while he continued amassing power.
"Looks like they're fighting," Lord Chaos sighed. "Ugh…! If I could move…!"
"No, stay here, grandfather," Ryo said.
"We will go," Amiphossia nodded.
"Wait!" Zehe said. "You can't!"
"You're…!" Nesiphae muttered. "Please don't die…!"
Too weakened to fight, their mothers could only watch as their children stepped forward.
It was time to finally pass the mantle, perhaps.
In this moment, Amiphossia and Ryo were not only surpassing their mothers but reaching new, never-before-seen heights.
"We won't."
Ryo channeled the Soul of Shuten Doji and his own Cultivated Powers.
Amiphossia unleashed Yamata-no-Orochi's fury while wielding Evans's sword form.
Both charged, clashing against Abyssian's Heart Avatars.
Wasp and Victor stepped forward afterward, realizing that if they did nothing, they would only bring shame to Chaos Gate.
"Master, rest for the time being," Wasp said.
"It's time for us to show why we are your most loyal and strongest subjects," Doctor Victor smiled.
As both joined the others, transforming into their strongest forms and unleashing devastating attacks, Abyssian rapidly grew more annoyed.
"Enough is enough, you damned flies! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!"
He roared. Spacetime Chaos Power manifested, spreading everywhere and beginning to push everyone back even further.
Everyone pushed back, screaming, giving everything they had.
"We won't give up, damn alien!" Beowulf roared, swinging his claws and tearing through the spacetime chaos tsunami.
"Not when our kids are right behind us!" Clementine cried, punching through the spacetime chaos with her bare hands. Her diamond skin rapidly bruised.
"For our families, for everyone!" Ryo said, punching with all his might and shattering space and time.
"For everyone we love!" Amiphossia cried, swinging her blade and unleashing a storm of cosmic slashing attacks.
"For everything we hold dear!" Evan said alongside Amiphossia, unleashing all of his power.
"For my clan… for my gods, for my people… For my country!" Amaterasu roared, unleashing endless sunlight lasers from her body and bombarding Abyssian directly.
"Nnnggh…! YOUUUUU!"
Abyssian roared. Dozens of crimson crystal eyes opened across his body, bombarding everyone with hundreds of crimson lasers of pure spacetime-distorting chaos energy.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
"Kuaaaggh!"
"Aaaahh!"
"Nnngh!"
"D-Damn it!"
"Aaahhh!"
Everyone screamed in pain, but no one faltered. They stood their ground against impossible odds.
"How can this be?! Where are they drawing power?! These damned flies, these damn—"
"That's right, you're all exactly right!"
A voice echoed from the skies. Everyone directed their eyes upward—even Abyssian.
And then all those eyes widened in disbelief.
"What we battle for is what's important! It is what gives us strength!"
A black star descended, crashing against Abyssian's face and piercing it with a long, pitch-black sword, tearing off half of his entire face.
CRAAASH!
"Gyyaaaaaaahhhhhhh!"
Abyssian screamed in agonizing horror, clutching his face while bleeding everywhere.
His crimson eyes stared at the one who had committed such an act.
"Y-YOU…! WHY…! WHY ARE YOU HERE?!"
As everyone was pushed to their absolute limits.
She appeared.
With long dark purple hair, eyes like galaxies, and a long tenebrous dress of black void and galaxies.
Her appearance had changed even more, but it was unmistakably her.
"KIREINA!!!"
Everyone said her name. Everyone knew her already.
Against all odds, Kireina had moved from trillions of light years away back to where Abyssian was.
For one last round.
"T-That's…!" Abyssian realized the origin of her power. "The Sea of Emptiness?! How…! How did you?! What?! That's…! Impossible!"
"There's no such thing as 'impossible' to the wielder of Defiance, Abyssian!"
Kireina wasted no time. She charged with all her strength.
