Chapter 2928 - 2929: Saving Genesis
-----
From the skies, a colossal serpent descended. Everyone gasped as an overwhelming surge of power radiated from it.
They all recognized what it was—and who commanded it.
"Keep them in place!" Tsukuyomi exerted his authority, seizing the Supreme of Souls in an iron grip and clenching his teeth.
"SHAAAAH!"
The serpent tore through Time, Destiny, and Souls alike, severing their souls from their bodies and shattering the brainwashing.
Yet their bodies remained animated, now mindless drones that fought with even greater savagery.
"E-Everyone?!" The Supreme of Souls gasped in horror. "W-What? What's going on— Aaahh! My body!"
"D-Damn it! I can't believe we were brainwashed! This is so humiliating! And now I've lost my body too?!" the Supreme of Destiny screamed.
"Haaah, it was indeed troublesome," the Supreme of Time sighed, shaking his head. "However, remember that we are beings whose body and soul are one. Those are mere husks. With our power…!"
FLASH!
"We can simply recreate a new body!" The Supreme of Time reformed himself instantly—a towering black skeleton.
No one questioned his appearance. The other two Supremes nodded and manifested fresh bodies of their own.
"It's good to see you again, girls! Skellie!" Aura laughed with genuine joy.
"A-Aura?!" The Supreme of Destiny stared in disbelief. "I can't believe we were saved by you!"
"Hahaha! Well, by everyone here, but Hades and his family did the real work!" Lucifer said. "Now… let's destroy your husks—quickly!"
The Supremes descended on the husks without hesitation. Their true power overwhelmed the empty shells, annihilating them and finally breaking the brainwashing completely.
"Flora is fighting Genesis. We must hurry there!" Aura urged. "Hades, bring your family along!"
"Yes!" Hades nodded.
En route, Hades and his family channeled the serpent's power, piercing through hundreds of other brainwashed gods. They freed their souls from divine bodies.
The gods understood immediately. They reformed new vessels and swiftly turned against their husks, liberating themselves in rapid succession.
At the same time, Susanoo—locked in combat with a titanic future-human mech amalgamation—glanced at the passing serpent.
The mech, engineered to conquer galaxies, struggled desperately against Susanoo's razor-sharp blade.
Then Hades struck. The serpent pierced the machine, extracting the souls of the humans inside.
As mere souls stripped of supernatural power, they faded quickly, unable to reform bodies.
The colossal mech collapsed. Obhedhrur seized it mid-battle against Dream Entities and absorbed its essence.
"Hahaha! More mechanical power!"
He soared higher, clashing with the Sun Deities the Sun God endlessly spawned to halt their advance.
RUMBLE!
Meanwhile, Flora and Genesis waged their ferocious duel. The oceans heaved violently. Flora commanded them, but Genesis refined them first and turned the very seas against her, impaling her body with thousands of enormous icicles.
"Nnnggh?!"
Flora retaliated fiercely. Giant dimensional branches erupted, coiling around Genesis and draining her energy—only for Genesis to roar and incinerate them with white void flames. They grappled endlessly, each feeling the other's rage and pain.
"I always hated you, Genesis! You've always been such an annoying bitch! It was your fault my Earth was destroyed!"
"And I hate you even more, Flora! It's your fault everything went to shit right now! If you hadn't left me…! If you hadn't abandoned Genesis itself, we could have fought the invaders so much more easily!"
"Tsk! I left because I didn't feel I belonged there—not with you, not with anybody!"
"Only because that bitch Kireina told you so?! You're so easily manipulated, Flora!"
"Shut up!"
Flora roared and slammed her forehead into Genesis, shattering her horns in a brutal impact. Flora's own face split open. Both groaned, gasping, bleeding heavily.
"For the Sun God, I shall… give up my life if I have to!!!"
Genesis bellowed, seizing control of Heavens, Earth, and Sea. Flora faltered, unable to draw more power—Genesis had already refined the surrounding domain.
However.
SPLAAASH!
A massive wall of seawater surged from the far east. Dozens of enormous Sea Dragons burst forth, roaring with primal fury as they assaulted Genesis.
Among them stood a majestic humanoid sea dragon—a king of unmatched authority and power.
The Dragon King of the East Sea, Ao Guang!
At his side were his daughter and two granddaughters.
The Sea Dragon Queen of the North Sea, Gaby.
The Chaos Sea Dragon Princess of the West Sea, Valentia.
And the Holy Sea Dragon Princess of the South Sea, Aarae.
These were Kireina's wife and children, reincarnated into the Dragon King's family.
His solitary existence had transformed. His daughter and grandchildren filled every day with light for the once-depressed old king.
In the original timeline, he had sunk into endless slumber, powerless to protect the seas or the world.
Now he burned with vitality, surrounded by a family that cherished him.
The Dragon King of the East Sea commanded his Army of Divine Sea Dragons, reclaiming dominion over the oceans.
Aquamarine emerged from the waves. He had raced ahead to warn Gaby and now returned triumphantly to join the fight.
"Sorry for being so late!" Gaby roared.
"If the world is in peril, we must all unite to save it!" the Dragon King thundered.
He pressed his hands together. Yin and Yang symbols formed from seawater.
His Aura detonated with overwhelming draconic might.
The oldest living dragon on Earth unleashed his full power.
"Draconic Soul Sea Heart Art – Judgement of the Seven Oceans!"
RUMBLE!
Every ocean on the planet converged at that single point, coalescing into a seven-headed dragon. Genesis' eyes widened—she could not refine this sea. The king, aided by Gaby and his granddaughters, unleashed the technique upon her.
"D-DAMN IT!"
BOOOMMM!!!
Flora could not escape the crossfire. She seized Genesis, forcing her to bear the brunt of the assault while absorbing damage herself, relentlessly drowning her and sapping her strength.
Flora knew what she had to do yet doubt gnawed at her. She despised Genesis—but could she truly kill her?
Then, in that instant, a black-and-golden serpent burst forth, streaking across the skies and plunging into the seas.
"Hades…? Wait, everyone?!"
Flora gasped. She sensed not only Hades within the serpent, but all the other Supreme Gods infusing their power, elevating the serpent to its ultimate form.
The serpent clamped down tightly and pierced Genesis' chest like an arrow, ripping her soul free from her enormous body.
"Guuaaaaaaahhhhhhh!"
Genesis screamed in torment as her soul was torn away. Her primordial husk went berserk, smashing Flora's head into the sea and breaking free from the Dragon King's oceanic judgement.
Then awareness returned.
"W-What's going on?!" Genesis gasped. Her soul loomed enormous; the serpent's cosmic jaws barely restrained her. "W-What is this?! My…! Ugh, I was brainwashed?! ME?!"
"Yeah, you stupid bitch!" the System God snarled. "And now look! Your body is rampaging!"
"D-Damn it!" Genesis roared. "Let go of me! I will take care of that!"
"No, Genesis—we work together now!" the Supreme Goddess of Fate and Destiny declared.
"Auntie, please stop being so annoying and just let's work together!" the Supreme Goddess of Souls and Reincarnation pleaded.
"Now's not the time!" Aura snapped.
"A-Aagh! Why is this happening to me?! And I'm so far from my world too! Uuugghh!" Genesis cried. "A-And who the hell are you anyway?!" she screamed at Tsukuyomi, who laughed.
"A friend," he chuckled. "Now, let's go!"
The serpent absorbed Genesis' power, shifting to black and white. It plunged downward, piercing the monstrous husk left behind and obliterating it in a cataclysmic explosion of combined energies.
BOOOMMM!!!
"Is it over now?!" Genesis clenched her teeth.
"No, it's not!" Flora said, staring into the distance. "Although most of the foes are vanquished, that monstrous Sun God keeps creating more. We have to destroy them and assist Kireina! Let's go!"
With no time to lose, every warrior on the battlefield united to crush the Sun God's endless army.
Meanwhile, deep within the shattered dimensional fragments of the Labyrinth of Madness, Izanami wandered until she located what Kireina had sent her to retrieve.
A glowing black core pulsed with immense primordial power.
A guardian protected it, a gigantic insectoid dragon armored in black exoskeleton and scales.
"Intruder detected. Guardian, eliminate her."
"ROOOAAARRR!"
The Core of the Labyrinth of Madness panicked as the monstrous dragon lunged at Izanami.
But from within Izanami's blooming heart, a familiar voice echoed.
"Wait, it's me! Bubu! Silva!"
"…?!"
"…!"
Both attackers froze. A flood of memories surged through them. They stared at one another, realizing what they had been doing.
"M-Mama?!" Silva cried, floating toward Izanami as a glowing sphere.
"Raaaawr!" Bubu roared—adorably, despite his titanic size.
"Yes, it's me! I am not here right now, but I need your help!" Kireina's voice rang out. "Use Izanami as a portal to reach me!"
Silva and Bubu nodded without hesitation. They entered Izanami's body of shadows and darkness, traveling straight to Kireina's soul.
