Chapter 4441: That Many?!

Lukay didn’t have much time to think about everything that had just happened. Before he could even organize his thoughts, Celis’s roots pierced into the wolf’s head and forcefully pulled out the Godly Predator Crystal. The whole process looked so casual that it reminded Lukay of someone harvesting vegetables from a field instead of extracting the core of one of the most dangerous creatures outside the Sacred Relic’s influence.

"First one," Celis said indifferently. "Another 159 to go before we return to Besgol."

"...1... 159?" Lukay almost thought he had misheard. ’That can’t be right... right? That has to be a joke. What are the chances that they could kill that many predators?’

"Let’s go," Rean called as he entered the airplane. "We still need to chart the territories ahead if we want to avoid the taxes."

Everyone boarded the airplane again, Lukay being the last one inside. The moment the hatch closed, the Celestial Thrusters came back to life, and the airplane shot into the distance. There was no reason to remain near the corpse. A dead Godly Predator would quickly attract nearby Godly Creatures, so leaving immediately was the obvious choice.

After flying for a while, Roan suddenly spoke. "Slow down a little."

Rean glanced at him. "You want to lure more Predators?"

Roan nodded. "If there are any in the surrounding area, lowering our speed will give them more time to detect our presence and come after us."

Rean didn’t mind the suggestion. "Sure, but what about the flying Godly Beasts?"

"We’ll simply kill them," Celis answered before Roan could. "Godly Beast Crystals aren’t anywhere near as good as Godly Predator Crystals, but they’re still useful for cultivation. Besides, we’re Aura Gods now."

At the same time, Kentucky’s winged humanoid form gradually disappeared, returning him to his ordinary humanoid appearance with only a few feathers remaining around his body. He stretched his shoulders a little, apparently quite satisfied with the result.

"As expected, my Divine Transformation can be used again."

Rean looked at him with a puzzled expression. "Wasn’t it Celestial Transformation?"

"It should be Godly Transformation now," Celis commented. "You’re using Godly Energy to activate it."

Throughout the entire exchange, Lukay remained silent. Tiny arcs of lightning continued to dance around his core while countless questions piled up inside his mind. He had been trying to sort them out ever since the battle ended, but every answer he came up with only led to even more questions. Eventually, he couldn’t hold himself back anymore.

"What the fuck was that?!"

The words escaped almost instinctively before he forced himself to calm down.

"No... wait. There are too many things." His lightning gradually settled as he organized his thoughts. "The pills! Let’s start with the pills. Those pills can block the Godly Pressure! How does something like that even work?!"

Roan looked at him as if the answer were completely obvious. "You absorb the pill, its effects begin to work, and then Godly Pressure can’t enter your body anymore. That’s how it works."

Lukay’s lightning flared once again. "I already know that much!"

Roan tilted his head. "Then why are you asking?"

"Fuck you!" Lukay immediately shot back. "You know perfectly well I’m not asking something that simple! I want to know why they work!"

Roan let out a small sigh before replying. "Are you an ascender?"

"...Yes," Lukay answered, puzzled. "Why?"

Before starting the explanation, Roan warned him. "Good. Be aware that you will hear some things you probably won’t want in the end. Do you still want to know?"

"Stop with that shit and just tell me already!" Lukay complained.

"Vey well," Roan complied. "You should already know that every Great Void possesses a special type of power that can eventually be used to control the entire Great Void. Whether someone has actually taken control of it is another matter, since it seems to be an extremely rare occurrence. Still, every ascender should at least know that such a power exists."

Lukay immediately understood what Roan meant. "Pretty much every ascender learns about it after arriving in the Celestial Plane. In my Sunfao Great Void, we call it Miracle Energy. It’s said to be the energy that gave birth to everything and can accomplish anything if someone ever becomes the owner of their Great Void. Of course, the name changes from one Great Void to another."

Roan nodded. "Good. That makes this much easier to explain. In our Vinx Great Void, we call it the Echo. The pill you swallowed contains a small amount of our own Great Void’s Echo."

Lukay remained completely silent, listening carefully.

"I’m skipping the details about the herbs, materials, and concoction process," Roan continued. "You’re not an alchemist, so explaining all of that would take hours without helping you understand the important part. What you really need to know is that the pill follows the same basic principle as the Sacred Relics."

He pointed toward the horizon as the airplane continued flying.

"The Sacred Relics maintain a direct connection with a specific Great Void. They draw that special energy into the Celestial Plane and use it to neutralize the Godly Pressure inside their area of influence. My Anti-Godly Pressure Pill simply applies the same concept on a much smaller scale."

Lukay’s lightning flickered around his core in complete disbelief.

"The Sacred Relics... are connected to a Great Void?" he asked. "And they use Miracle Energy from that Great Void to suppress the Godly Pressure? No... wait. I’ve never heard anyone say Miracle Energy could even do something like that."

"That’s only natural," Roan replied. "No one capable of controlling their own Great Void’s Echo—or Miracle Energy, as you call it—has ever ascended to the Besgol Region or any other region we know about. At least, not until the four of us arrived."

Lukay froze.

"So... you..." His thoughts became increasingly chaotic. "You are your own Great Void Owners?!"
