Chapter 3807: That’s More Like It!
The corrupted system was the basis for the Light Spredaers and everything else that kept this Universe on a mind leash. One didn’t need to be smart to guess that the galaxy where the core of the corrupted system was found must be heavily protected. Hell, the Universe owner himself appeared almost as soon as the system shard was taken away, which shows they had proper measures in place.
That said, reaching that galaxy was anything but easy. Any attempts to get close without a proper reason are bound to be intercepted. Even though Spatial Gates are considered prohibited, it was certain that the entire area around that galaxy was protected against the possibility of one appearing, too.
To make things worse, after the twins robbed the System Shard that controlled the Light Spreader, it was clear that the other Light Spreaders and the Corrupted System Core might be in danger. You can expect the defenses around all of those critical locations to be even tighter than ever before.
So, what to do?
"In a situation where we don’t know what to expect from the Light Idiots, our most realistic chance is to get there by pretending to be part of their religion," Roan explained. "We will start with this idiot here, and then find out how to get to the Corrupted System Core through the Light Idiots themselves."
Rean and the others nodded. That seemed a feasible plan, especially since they could change their bodies, auras, and even Werdlem ID signature.
"There are two layers we need to be aware of," Roan continued. "The Light Idiots, the ones not affected by the Banishing Light, have to use two different IDs at the same time. One is obviously this Universe’s Network ID. The other is the normal Werdlem ID we used in other Universes."
"That’s why you need us to try to copy this guy’s ID from this Universe’s Network," Rean concluded.
"Exactly," Roan confirmed. "I’ll leave you guys to it. I’ll send his memories now, Rean."
Rean quickly received the memories through their connection, and after a few minutes putting everything together in his mind, Rean was ready to go. "Alright, let’s get to work."
The change of watchers would happen in five days, and that was the time for Rean’s group to analyse that guy’s other network ID and copy it. Fortunately, they had experience with this kind of thing, having the system’s power itself to do most of the complicated simulations.
Already from the get-go, the improvement in the system’s processing power was showing its benefits. Rean, Tanxan, and Zangeshu came up with various models that could copy that ID, and they had the expert himself with them, although unconscious.
He wouldn’t wake up anymore, though. Not that the twins’ group would kill him, but that Roan didn’t hold back when he read the guy’s memories. The guy’s soul was severely damaged, and had Roan not prevented his soul from perishing on purpose, the guy wouldn’t be alive now. That’s also why Roan got so much information from him.
Rean also went out to buy some new equipment that was of higher quality than the ones he got back in F956, saving them even more time. On the fourth day, their tireless efforts finally bore fruit.
"Sister Orb, keep an eye on the signal of this Universe’s Network. Use the system to watch the information coming in and see if anything out of the norm happens when we connect the fake ID," Rean ordered. He, Zangeshu, and Tanxan were looking at a hexagonal badge, where they built the new communication device with that guy’s identification. Obviously, it bypassed ownership verifications, which allowed Rean and the others to use it instead.
[Alright, just one second... done! Go ahead and give it a try.]
"Shouldn’t we leave this city first?" Zangeshu asked. "Suppose our fake ID connection is detected. With the many Space-Time and Divinity Realm experts here, it would be quite complicated if they were told by the Light Idiots to come after us."
"Don’t worry," Rean smiled. "I sent Kentucky away on the very first day. That bird is now countless kilometers away, and already concealed inside a formation I prepared. If we need to leave, we can make the entrance to our dimensional realm disappear by simply coming out by Kentucky’s side."
"That was a good call," Tanxan nodded. "Then let’s give this little guy a try."
Rean activated it, connecting to the D33 Universe’s Network. Immediately, a bunch of information was displayed in front of them. They ignored most of it, only focusing on their user information in the network.
-Xanfel Gobo, Yukel Race-
-Cultivation: Space-Time Initial Stage-
-Position: Light Propagator Seventh Class-
-Last Login: Six Da...
That and a bunch more personal information were displayed. That alone was already a great sign, as you couldn’t simply look into someone’s information in such detail. Better than that, Rean used Xanfel’s ID to try to access the Light of the Provider exclusive network, which also worked perfectly.
"Now, that’s more like it!" Rean, Zangeshu, and Tanxan were obviously happy to see that their combined effort went so well.
Roan appeared in the next second, taking a look at all that. "Seems like you made it work."
"Obviously!" Rean felt proud. "As long as we change our appearance and aura to match his, we should have no issues pretending to be him."
’Does that mean I can return now?’ Kentucky asked from outside the Dimensional Realm. He was still preparing a few things there in case the twins’ group had to leave Lotiy City.
"No, stay there." Roan didn’t take any chances. "His replacement will get here tomorrow. They will certainly check on Xanfel closely to see if there isn’t anything wrong. If everything goes okay, then you can return. Otherwise, we will need to use you and your location to leave straight away."
’Understood,’ Kentucky could only do as asked.
"Sister Orb," Rean turned in the orb’s direction. "How’s the information in the network?"
[Everything seems fine here. No suspicious information passing through your fake device. Seems like this Universe’s Network truly recognize your little gadget as the real deal.]
"Then that’s good," Roan saw the plan working quite well. "Let’s wait for tomorrow. Use this time to check this new communication device of yours to see if there aren’t any flaws. Provided nothing goes wrong, we should be paying a visit to the Light Idiots tomorrow in the Divine Realm."
