Chapter 3942: We Will See
Three days later, back in the Kloweqi Continent...
"I see... so the So-Fins Sect was the one that sent you, uh?" Rean asked, his arm around a man’s shoulder, the guy incapable of moving.
"W-Who... are you?" The man asked with difficulty. His Dantian was destroyed, and now he was worse than a newborn baby. After all, in the Divine Realm, everyone is born in the Foundation Establishment level; he wasn’t even that anymore. Well, that’s only about cultivation. His soul and body were obviously still much stronger than those of a regular expert, having undergone many years of cultivation.
He wasn’t injured, though. After Rean destroyed the man’s Dantian, he completely healed the man, so there was no risk of death at the moment. "Me? Come on, you can’t be that dumb, can you? Do you really think the Divine Military Academy would send that boy outside the Continent without the proper protection? The others and I are obviously tailing him, just in case anyone like you tries something."
"O-Others?" The man felt a chill on his back. Rean destroyed him easily, and now he was saying he wasn’t alone? He couldn’t help but curse the So-Fins Sect, which sent him here to try to kill Rean. They were obviously using him to test the waters!
Of course, the Rean who was talking now had a completely different appearance from the Rean this man had come to kill. Rean didn’t even use his Light Element when taking him down. He used the Fire Element solely. It was simply impossible to connect this Rean to the ’youngster’ Rean.
Rean then opened a Spatial Gate, throwing the man inside. "I just checked where the So-Fins sect is located. This Spatial Gate will bring you there. You can tell them what happened. Know that the Divine Military Academy will not just sit by and let our golden kids be killed easily. Well, goodbye!"
The Spatial Gate disappeared, and Rean was left alone. His appearance returned to normal, while his cultivation was once again suppressed to the Void Tempering Realm. ’Well then, no more Golden Spheres, it seems. The last one came after Kentucky as soon as he left the Continent, so I guess I’m safe. Let’s go back to my group before they notice I’m not in my room.’
---
During the following years, the twins’ group was sent to different continents once in a while, just like anyone else who was part of the Divine Military Exchange Program. There were other attempts against their lives, but there was always someone ’protecting them’ from the sidelines.
Well, there wasn’t, but the twins’ group made it look like there was. Eventually, the other continents understood that if they wanted to kill those kids, they would have to send their real powerhouses, the Divinity Realm ones, but would they go that far? It could instead escalate the tensions, and it wasn’t worth it. Besides, it was obvious that whoever was protecting the twins’ group had no intention of causing trouble... as long as no one caused trouble for them.
They never intervened in any of the missions, leaving the youngsters to make their own decisions and such. If they were killed by someone at a similar level to them, these ’protectors’ never showed themselves.
As for those who leaked the information outside, they could only curse the fact that no one could get rid of the twins’ group. Some of them were even caught, and according to the rules, dealt with by the remaining countries of the Runia Continent, paying high prices.
Time passed, and the Judgemental Eye continued to show reactions every time someone from the twins’ group left its observation range. However, there were no more Golden Echos. Not that it didn’t try to send more, but that it couldn’t.
Soon, it had been fifty years since Wisfreya made a deal with the twins. Inside the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm, one could see a big concentration of Soul Energy sealed near the place where the Abyssal Beast’s Soul could be found.
Not too far from there, a pool of Pristine Elemental Liquid was located within a quite big Herb Garden, with many rare plants that would make any of the top powers of the continents around go to war to get access to. At the center of that pool, however, there was a huge amount of blood, one that was red but also slightly white, which emanated a powerful and tyrannical presence.
The Soul and the Blood were obviously the two things Wisfreya had been contributing to the twins’ group in exchange for training and access to all their resources.
Thanks to the training they had been giving Wisfreya, her cultivation truly increased by leaps and bounds. Just fifty years, and her cultivation reached the Initial Stage of the Space-Bending Realm. In fact, she could have cultivated even further.
However, let’s not forget that once you reach the Middle Stage of the Space-Bending Realm, you will graduate automatically from the Divine Military Exchange Program. It was mentioned before that you had three hundred years to get there, or you would be removed. She already got there in fifty! She was at least twice as fast as the other top geniuses. Only a breakthrough remains, which she held back.
But that wasn’t just a good thing for those who see her from the outside. Since her cultivation and strength increased so much, that meant she could have her blood and soul extracted in bigger amounts as the years passed. That was the effect of having a teacher who also had a powerful hybrid bloodline in Foliana and a crazily good cultivation technique creator in Roan. Last but not least, someone to help her recover fast in Rean and Kentucky’s blood.
Her soul, which was definitely the weakest point for a Dragon Bloodline holder like Wisfreya, had improved a lot in these fifty years. It was still not on par with a normal at the same level, but it wasn’t too much of a burden anymore.
The soul supports everything, every action, every bloodline, every iota of energy. If the soul is strong, one obviously can make a much better use of the bloodline power they have.
Roan was in front of that pool, seeing some more blood being poured in the center. Sometime later, Rean got there, looking at the same thing. "It worked better than expected. I just sent Wisfreya away. She truly put a lot of effort, and this pool of blood and the soul energy from her soul are proof of it."
Roan nodded slightly. He hates those who waste their potential, so he approved Wisfreya’s actions during all these years. "If she didn’t, I would have made her life a living hell."
Rean shrugged, changing the topic. "Anyway, what do you think?"
Roan paid attention to the blood. "I could extract the Luminous Aether Dragon Blood from it, and I believe the system would be satisfied with the amount. It definitely wouldn’t lose to Wisfreya’s whole body. In fact, we have quite a lot more than we need, so we are safe in this regard. What about her soul?"
Rean nodded. "Her soul had always been the weak point of this plan. Like I said, I initially expected several decades or maybe over a hundred years. Surprisingly, her soul improved so much that I was able to cut bigger and bigger pieces every time without causing any lasting effects. I would say we have just barely enough to satisfy the system’s quest, but I’m not 100% sure."
"No need to hurry then," Roan commented. "Give it a few more years to add a few extra pieces. Once we get the system to create Starlight Energy for us, that will save us unlimited amounts of time. These last few decades were nothing in comparison."
"Understood," Rean said, preparing to leave. "Oh, by the way," but he remembered something. "Seems like the war in the Green Cluster is over. The Verjansy Country might contact everyone... if it survived, that is."
Roan did not forget about them. "We will see."
