Chapter 3964: Laiana

Yuan couldn’t fulfill that request, though. "Hum... that would be a problem."

-A problem?- Rean didn’t understand. -Could it be she left?-

"No, that’s not it," Yuan explained.

Turns out Yuan had tried to go visit the Charybdis Queen many times in the past. After all, his own bloodline was actually hers, and he wanted to see if he could get some pointers and such. There were also the other small pseudo-Charybdises that took care of her body from the inside.

Above all, the Charybdis Queen didn’t follow the normal cultivation method of other demon beasts, which usually involved absorbing Spiritual/Divine Energy. The Charybdis Queen’s cultivation was something called Bloodline Cultivation. Even their realms had different names and purposes.

Since that was the case, and Yuan had that bloodline, perhaps he could also use that cultivation method. So, he tried to contact the Charybdis Queen.

"Yet, it doesn’t matter how many times I try to reach her," Yuan said. "She doesn’t answer. The Spatial Vortexes that are used to capture food for her also seem to completely ignore my existence. I’m wondering if she went to sleep or something like that."

-Nope, she just doesn’t want to waste her time with you,- Rean was blunt. -You are already lucky to have absorbed so much of her bloodline, and she let you have it. It was basically a reward for helping her escape the soul prison. You can’t expect her to go out of her way to help an ant like you, right? By the way, that also includes my group and me. We aren’t anything close to what she was at the peak of her power.-

Yuan understood that. "Alright... So, what exactly do you want me to do then?"

-Go back there into the Heavenly Tunnels and simply repeat what I will say.- Rean ordered.

The Heavely Tunnels were actually the Charybdis’ Tentacles, but only Yuan and Rean knew about that. For everyone else, they were still the same dangerous tunnels as before.

"Okay, I’ll give it a try." Yuan didn’t have much to lose. And if he managed to talk to the Charybdis Queen, that would be even better.

Back in the Divine Military Academy, Roan arrived at Ximao’s residence, catching the attention of a few of the experts there. He could have called Ximao’s CD, but he didn’t see a need to hide anymore the fact that he at least knew Ximao. After all, he wasn’t a student/recruit. Instead, he was a member of the academy’s workforce.

Ximao let him in, not expecting Roan to come and see him. "Is that okay? The Hi’grah Country will definitely ask you questions about this visit later."

Roan didn’t even bother answering that question. "I need you to come up with some reason or whatever to have my group go to the Riquicious Continent ahead of time. There is a year left for the opening of the Future Realm, and I have a few things to check before we can try to fool everyone so we can enter."

Ximao would be lying if he said he wasn’t curious about the same issue. "So you aren’t acting that blind. Do you even have a way to hide your cultivation from the formations that will be in place there?"

"That’s why we need to leave earlier," Roan said. "Can you make it work?"

"I can," Ximao already had an idea, "but it won’t be just your group. If you don’t want anyone feeling suspicious, I will have to send everyone ahead of time. Or, to be more specific, to send those in the Space-Bending Realm. I will have all of you study Riquicious Capital, where the check will be made. Plenty of powers will be there ahead of time, so no one will mind if I send a group to check as well."

Roan was satisfied. "Good. That’s it then. Make it happen."

"Just one second," Ximao stopped Roan. "Because the Future Realm is a place that has to follow the Werdlem Empire’s acceptance rules, there might be a few high-level experts from the Werdlem Empire there. No, to be more specific, a few experts from the power that controls the A1 Universe. Naturally, they answer directly to the Werdlem Empire."

Roan saw where Ximao was coming from. "Are you saying there might be a Celestial Realm Expert overseeing the event?"

"Yes," Ximao confirmed. "It is not guaranteed, and the Future Realm isn’t the only one with its special characteristics, but there is a possibility. If one appears, the formations won’t be the only thing that might see through your cultivation suppression."

Roan pondered a bit, nodding in the end. "Very well. We will keep that in mind." He left after that.

Yuan entered one of the Heavenly Tunnels, now strong enough to the point that nothing there could cause him any harm. Well, there were the Spatial Vortexes and rifts that happened nonstop, but they all seemed to ignore his existence, maybe even avoiding Yuan.

Yuan then shouted with his Divine Energy. "Charybdis Queen, we need to talk! Would you please have a conversation with me?"

Silence... No answer whatsoever.

Yuan sighed, taking his CD out, calling Rean back. "Well, she is still not answering."

Rean already expected that. -No problem. Just put your CD in speaker mode and let my voice echo around. I’m certain she is at least hearing. Use your Divine Energy to amplify it, just to be certain.-

Yuan followed Rean’s instructions, allowing Rean to speak.

-Laiana, it’s me, Rean! I’m in Universe A1 at the moment.-

As soon as Rean finished his words, Spatial Powers gathered around Yuan, and his body disappeared.

By the time Yuan’s vision returned to normal, he was already in front of the Charybdis Queen’s Soul, just like back then when he helped release her.

’If this is a trick to have me speak with this kid, I’m stripping out of him my bloodline,’ The Charybdis Queen spoke.

-It is not,- Rean ensured. -Senior Laiana, it seems like we found the Chronoblade Serpent.-

’What?!’ Laiana was taken aback. ’Are you sure? What’s his name?’

-Xyrath?-

That name confirmed Rean’s words. ’You truly found him! Quick, quick, tell me. How is he? No, even better! Put him on the line!’

-Calm down, Senior Laiana. I only got information about his existence, but I haven’t met him yet. Let me explain everything.-
