Death… And Me

Chapter 4152: Welcome Home

Chapter 4152: Welcome Home

When Erwora was in the middle of her heated discussion about the price of the wine, Rean just happened to arrive near the location. He kept his Divine Sense short, encompassing only a few meters, while using his Light and Divine Sense Bending to avoid detection.

Hiding on the ship didn’t seem like a good idea, so it was better to assume someone’s identity. That was easily done as the system could make a perfect copy of someone’s Werdlem Energy Signature, or ID. As for the reason Rean took Erwora, that was because of her wine-selling side hustle.

Rean could easily tell that many came to buy the wine with her, and that worked perfectly. Everyone knew her. Not only could he get more information about the people of the Great Void Spaceship, but he would also be able to hide in plain sight.

So, when Erwora began to make her way back to her post, Rean waited for an opportunity when no one was looking. With Sister Orb controlling the formations in that small area, no one would see Rean either.

It only took an instant, and Rean knocked Erwora out, sending her into the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm straight away. Roan was already waiting, and he read her most recent memories. If it is just recent memories, there was no risk of causing any soul damage.

Finally, Rean absorbed all the knowledge of the past few weeks. He quickly moved to where Erwora worked, now wearing her Spatial Ring and clothes. The Spatial Ring, obviously, had the wine she used to sell, and Rean intended to continue selling it to everyone.

Back in A1, just outside, the Great Void Spaceship came out of the Spatial Gate. Various other ships were already waiting for it, although those were not Great Void ones. The captain and the crew did their work, all the containers were checked, and ultimately transferred over to those various Spaceships.

In the end, the Great Void Spaceship that Rean took didn’t even enter A1. Once all the containers were transferred, it immediately opened another Spatial Gate and left through it.

In the following years, Rean would work on Erwora’s post, and he actually did a damn good job. Well, it was to be expected, considering his knowledge of circuitry formations. He continued to sell the wine, doing well by the real Erwora and gradually increasing the wine’s price.

As for the exchanges with Erwora’s friends, he kept it lively but always avoided any topics from the past. Other than the fact that Erwora was in that ship, Rean ended up knowing absolutely nothing about her. And his actions prevented anyone from speaking about her past as well, which was a lot safer for his hidden identity. If things got even a little suspicious, he used his Soul Power to lead the topics away from whatever could be used to unmask him.

It all played exactly as the real Erwora commented. The Great Void Spaceship took five years and a few months to return to the Werdlem Empire. It stopped by an enormous space station located outside the Werdlem Universe, where you could see thousands of the same ship. There were also bigger, smaller, better, and worse ones.

"Sigh..." Gufa, Erwora’s closest friend, stretched a little as the two ’girls’ made their way out of the spaceship. "I think I’m going to gather Bee Frozen Wine from now on as well. You definitely made a killing out there."

’Erwora’ shrugged with a smile. "I sure did, but you have to think if it is worth it. After all, you need the initial capital to buy a lot. Also, I’m not the only one who has these kinds of ideas. If you get competition, you might not sell as much as you wish."

The two of them entered some kind of railway transportation, being joined by a hundred or so other crew members from various ships. It shot fast into the distance, stopping only after a few hundred kilometers had gone by. That’s how big this space station was, and it was only one of many others found around the Werdlem Universe.

Coming out, Rean noticed the Divine Sense of a few Celestials, including three Peak Stage ones. This was a choke point in the space station where everyone was checked. He wasn’t worried, though. Hick had his boundary around Rean’s cultivation, and even the Peak Celestials couldn’t see through it. "Seems like there are a lot of officers here..." Rean commented.

Gufa nodded in agreement. "It has been like this for several decades already. Something to do with a certain group that escaped the Werdlem Empire’s pursuit or something like that. Just what kind of people are they to make the Werdlem Imperial Family so angry? Even more impressive, they managed to avoid the Werdlem Empire’s pursuit entirely until now. That’s crazy. I wonder why the Empire simply hasn’t blocked their access to the energies of the world."

Rean laughed in response. "Hahaha! Who knows? Maybe they have some good concealing and hiding abilities. Perhaps the empire doesn’t really know their real identities, so they can’t block their access. Look at me, I might be one of them, and you wouldn’t even know."

Gufa laughed as well. "Hehe! If you were one of them, you’d better tell me how you hid all this time. Anyway, let’s get it over with. I want to go home and see my kids."

Rean nodded, and the two were checked by various formations, as well as the Divine Senses of the Celestials present there. Well, it was all for nothing. Rean’s transformation skill wasn’t just external. Other than the DNA itself, he could truly assume a perfect shape of almost any race, let alone a humanoid race like Erwora’s.

His ID was checked, everything was confirmed, and he was allowed to pass together with Gufa.

As the two girls made their way to the transport station that would bring them back to the Werdlem Universe, Gufa noticed someone. "Well, well, well... Seems like I’ll be nothing but a nuisance if I stay here. I’ll call you later."

Rean looked at Gufa as she walked away, confused. But then...

*Tud, tud!*

Two kids, seemingly no more than five years old, suddenly hugged him. "This..."

Rean was taken aback for a moment and thought about pushing those kids away. Too bad they truly robbed him of his attention at the worst possible time.

Out of nowhere, a hand reached for his chin, and before Rean could react, he was kissed... by a man! "Welcome home, love."
