Chapter 4233: Too Strong, and Not Too Strong
"Eh?!" Kentucky felt weird when he heard that. "What do you mean by mortal?"
"Simply put, your bodies were rebuilt to come to the Celestial Plane. Everything you did in the past contributed to your new bodies and souls. Now, you have your new bodies and souls, and that’s it. Everything else is basically used to maintain your bodies," Porcar explained.
"The Celestial Realm is literally the very first realm of cultivation here in the Celestial Plane," Corpar continued. "If you go down and visit your Home Great Void, you will have all your normal powers. You will be at the peak of that world. Here, all of that is only enough for you to kind of sustain your existence."
"No, wait, that’s not 100% accurate," Corpar corrected himself. "At least you already start at the Peak Stage of the Celestial Realm. Newborns start at the Initial Stage, so there is that."
Roan narrowed his eyes. "Newborns start at the initial stage? Does that mean they can control the Celestial Laws from the very start?"
"Hum? Laws? No way! Hahaha!" Corpar laughed. "It will be faster if you try it yourself. If you aren’t too affected by the backlash, give it a try and see what you can do."
Roan took a deep breath and nodded. He fought against the effects of the backlash and tried to gather his Celestial Laws of Light and Dark... to no avail. There was simply no answer from them. He tried to switch to the normal laws of Light and Dark, but that was even more impossible. The normal laws of Dark and Light don’t even exist in the Celestial Plane. Only the Celestial Laws.
"I can’t control the Celestial Laws..." Roan commented.
"Yep," and Corpar confirmed. "Do you know why you could control and even drag the Celestial Laws to your Great Void to use them yourself? Because the Celestial Laws in the Great Void lose their foundations. They simply don’t fight back. So, to be more specific, it is not that you can’t use the Celestial Laws; it is just that they do not answer to you in here. You are too weak."
Corpar faintly smiled. "But then again, it is the fact that you already have experience with Celestial Laws that makes ascenders even more enticing to all the powers. Ascenders already know those laws when they get here, and once they get to the necessary cultivation realm, they can use those laws straight away. They don’t have to learn from scratch. That’s something those who are born here will have to learn from the beginning. I’m quite jealous myself, as I’m not even at the cultivation realm to try that yet."
Rean heard all of that and made a quick resume. "Alright... So basically, we are still powerful if we go to our Great Void. But here, we are pretty much the same as mortals. If we want to use our Celestial Laws, we need to reach the necessary cultivation. Last but not least, we don’t need to learn them again."
"That’s it. You pretty much covered all bases," Corpar confirmed.
Roan focused for an instant, and on his hand, the Seventh Stage of Scythe Intent appeared. The Crystal Void Scythe materialized, confirming that not everything was lost in here. "Intents still work normally."
Corpar looked at that and was shocked. "Seventh Stage of Weapon Intent! You can use the Seventh Stage!!!"
Rean did the same, summoning his Crystal Void Sword. "Is it supposed to be something that impressive? I thought the Celestial Plane would have plenty of Seventh Stage Users..."
Corpar could barely process what he was seeing. "Where did you even hear that? The Seventh Stage is extremely rare, even in the Celestial Plane! No, it is actually worse, because learning Weapon Intents here is much, much harder. The Celestial Plane itself fights against it. The Celestial Plane should be crushing you with pressure right now!"
Rean and Roan looked at each other.
"Are you feeling any restrictions?" Roan asked.
"If I am, I’m definitely not noticing it," and Rean answered.
Kentucky followed suit, and his Yin Yang Feather Blades landed on his hand. They emitted the Weapon Aura, which was the Fourth Stage of Weapon Intent. "Mine is not as good as yours, but I’m also feeling no restrictions whatsoever."
Corpar’s mind almost exploded right there. "A Demon Beast... using weapon intent... and no restrictions..."
Corpar tried to calm down, looking at the trio. "What is wrong with you guys?"
Rean, Roan, and Kentucky’s mouth twitched. They haven’t completed a single hour in the Celestial Plane, and there was ALREADY someone asking if there was something wrong with them.
In the next instant, Default’s voice echoed in their minds with Sister Orb’s help. ’He is right to be shocked. I’m just as shocked on my side. You shouldn’t be able to use Weapon Intent that easily. The Celestial Plane was supposed to fight back against it. You need a higher cultivation to negate the Celestial Plane’s effects... which doesn’t seem to be your case.’
Of course, hearing that, they had a theory, and Celis voiced it. ’Default, are you saying this is because of The Echo that got mixed with our bodies when they were being rebuilt?’
’Exactly,’ Default confirmed. ’I can’t think of any other reason for you to have no restrictions against your Weapon Intents. You are only Celestial Realm Experts, pretty much the same as a mortal in the Celestial Plane. You have no idea what kind of advantage you hold with those Intents.’
Roan let go of his Scythe, turning his attention back to Corpar. "What else are we expected to feel here?"
"Eh?!" Corpar was still digesting the news. "Errr... cultivation, right! In your Great Void, Celestial Realm Experts are extremely powerful, capable of destroying an entire solar system or more with ease. Here, however, it would be impressive if you could destroy as much as a single boulder."
Roan nodded slightly, and while still resisting the effects of the backlash, he circulated his Celestial Energy. Or, to be more specific, his Sky Celestial Energy. Too bad, though. He instantly felt the restrictions.
It wasn’t that his cultivation was being held back. He was able to circulate the Sky Celestial Energy normally. It’s just that it wasn’t anywhere near as destructive as it was in the Great Void. "You are correct about this part. I think I can break a boulder without using my Weapon Intent, but not much more than that. Maybe two boulders if I put my all into it."
He wasn’t lying. That was definitely Roan’s limit at the moment.
"I see..." Corpar nodded, but was still impressed. "That is already amazing, but at least it is within the realm of acceptable. Now I’m truly curious. Can I test your aptitudes?"
With nothing to lose, the twins’ group accepted. "Alright, give it a try."
