Death… And Me

Chapter 4439: The Clash

Chapter 4439: The Clash

Lukay couldn’t feel the presence of the Echo of the Vinx Great Void. However, there was one thing he would never mistake: the presence of Godly Pressure!

’It’s... It’s gone!’

For a moment, Lukay wondered if something had happened to his senses. However, that thought disappeared almost immediately.

’No, that’s not entirely correct.’

As he followed the twins’ group, Lukay quickly analyzed the situation. The Godly Pressure in the surroundings hadn’t disappeared. It was still there, surrounding him completely. In fact, it was so close that it was practically touching his core.

Yet, it simply couldn’t enter.

’The Godly Pressure is being blocked before it reaches my core...’ Lukay’s attention turned toward Roan, who was leading the group. ’His pill can block Godly Pressure! But... how? What did he add to the pill that it could have such an effect? No one has ever created something like this before.’

And Lukay was right.

No one had done this before.

At least, no one in the Besgol Region. Roan was pretty sure something similar likely existed outside.

This wasn’t a new idea for Roan, though. Ever since the twins’ group obtained the Sanctuary Skill and Sister Orb explained how it worked, Roan had already started thinking about a method to replicate part of its effects.

The Sanctuary worked by using their Great Void Echo to create an area completely free of Godly Pressure. It was the perfect solution for exploring the Godly Creatures Territories.

Unfortunately, Roan couldn’t attempt to put his ideas into practice back then. During the Anchor God Realm, he lacked the ability to control energy outside his body. Without that ability, no matter how good his ideas were, they couldn’t become a reality.

Only after reaching the Aura God Realm was Roan finally able to concoct pills in the right way again, not those simple ones that didn’t require such a thing.

After creating the pills needed for their cultivation, his attention naturally returned to his previous idea.

The Anti-Godly Pressure Pill.

Yes, Roan was not Rean. For him, the simpler the name, the better. There was no need to create some complicated name when the purpose of the pill was already obvious.

By controlling his own power, Roan discovered a way to harness the power of the Vinx Great Void’s Echo that existed inside the twins’ group. They were already capable of using the Echo to create Godly Energy and even generate their own Godly Pressure when necessary.

Using the system’s Cultivation Technique as a foundation, Roan manipulated the Echo inside his body and infused it into the pills during the concoction process.

It wasn’t easy.

The amount of Echo Power he could use was limited, and forcing too much of it into the pills would only make the process fail. However, after several hours of careful work, he managed to create pills containing a concentrated amount of Echo Power.

From there, everything became a matter of trial and error.

Roan experimented with different materials, different herbs, and different concoction methods until he finally discovered the right combination. The result of all that effort was now being displayed.

The Anti-Godly Pressure Pills were working.

"Wow..." Kentucky couldn’t help but feel impressed. "I’m not being weakened by Godly Pressure at all!"

Rean looked toward Roan. "How long does the pill last?"

Roan thought for a moment before answering. "According to my tests, around eight minutes."

"Hours upon hours of concoction for a pill that lasts eight minutes..." Celis commented. "Still, considering what it does, that’s already an incredible result."

"This is only an early version of the pill," Roan explained. "It can definitely be improved. However, it will require better materials and herbs, as well as improvements to the concoction process itself."

Finally, Lukay caught up to them.

"Is this-"

"It’s here!" Roan interrupted.

Before Lukay could finish speaking, a terrifying sound echoed through the surroundings.

*Roar!*

The trees below were violently knocked aside as a massive silhouette emerged from the forest. The creature locked its eyes onto the twins’ group, Godly Energy gathered around its legs, and it launched itself into the sky at incredible speed.

The twins’ group was already prepared.

’Red Death, Third Movement Form, Crimson Lightning!’

Rean and Roan disappeared in flashes of crimson lightning, one darker and one brighter, moving away from the Predator’s jaws at the last possible moment.

They finally got a clear view of the Godly Predator.

Lukay immediately recognized it and shared the information he knew with the twins’ group, too.

The Godly Predator resembled an enormous wolf, nearly six meters long. Its body wasn’t bulky, but lean and well-balanced, clearly built for speed, agility, and explosive movements rather than raw strength. Thin silver stripes extended from its shoulders all the way to the tip of its tail, glowing faintly whenever Godly Energy surged through its body as if those markings were naturally designed to channel its power.

Many scars crossed its hide, and one of its ears had long ago been torn in half. Those wounds were proof of the countless battles it had survived throughout its long existence.

Yet, none of those characteristics were what truly attracted attention. The most intimidating part of the creature was its eyes. Two pale golden pupils remained locked on the twins’ group with absolute focus.

’It’s a Dreadfang Alpha Wolf!’

The wolf noticed that Rean and Roan had dodged its initial attack. Without any hesitation, Godly Energy gathered around its paws once again. It stepped on the air itself, as if the empty space beneath its feet had become solid ground, and launched forward at incredible speed toward Rean, who was the closest target.

Rean’s hair immediately changed, becoming dark and white. At the same time, his Void Crystal Swords appeared in his hands.

He didn’t dodge. He didn’t retreat. Instead, he faced the incoming Godly Predator head-on. ’Let’s see what I can do at this level.’

’Red Life, Flame Emperor Sword!’

Lukay’s core shook in disbelief. ’What?! Is he crazy?!’

The moment Rean decided to clash directly against the Dreadfang Alpha Wolf, Lukay immediately circulated his Lightning Element and shot forward at his maximum speed. However, he had not expected Rean to completely ignore the attack, and because of that, he knew he wouldn’t arrive in time to help.

The only thing he could do was watch and hope Rean would survive the wolf’s attack.

The two swords approached the wolf’s fangs as red flames and lightning roared through the skies. The collision created an explosion of energy that shook the surroundings.

*Kabrumm!*

*Roarrrr!*

Lukay, who had been flying forward as quickly as possible, suddenly stopped several meters away. His attention was completely focused on the scene before him.

The Dreadfang Alpha Wolf’s fangs, which should have been strong enough to tear apart powerful cultivators, were being forcefully cut through by Rean’s swords. The crimson flames and lightning continued forward, sliding toward the wolf’s left eye while cutting through everything in their path.

Lukay froze in place. ’Impossible!’
