Death… And Me

Chapter 4500: Reinforcements

Chapter 4500: Reinforcements

As one could imagine, Fariu’s group wasn’t the only one attracted by the commotion. Other cultivators eventually noticed what was happening and began making their way toward the location. There were even a few Godly Creatures that approached, but unfortunately for them, getting anywhere near the source of those flames was basically suicide.

Kentucky finally arrived about an hour later, bringing both Roan and Celis with him. They weren’t the only ones, either. Arcis and Kachia had also joined them since they happened to be at the airplane’s location when Kentucky returned. The moment they arrived, they saw Rean standing much closer to the Red-Golden Flames than anyone else could approach, so they landed nearby.

Rean looked in their direction and, for the first time, stepped outside the range of the flames that no one else could approach. "So you came too, Senior Arcis."

Arcis looked around the area. By now, he could count eleven cultivators gathered there, with practically all of them watching Rean and the giant sphere of flames. "You created quite the spectacle here, didn’t you?"

Rean shrugged. "It wasn’t on purpose. I didn’t expect the fox’s breakthrough to cause such a commotion. We aren’t too far from the city, so there was no helping it."

Arcis knew Rean couldn’t have done much about it. "Well, there is no point crying over it now. The question is, what do we do here? The fox is inside, right?"

"She is," Rean nodded. "You checked her as well, so it’s hard to tell whether what is happening is really a breakthrough or not. We never managed to determine what cultivation realm she was in, after all."

Arcis didn’t mind. "There are countless paths of cultivation, so it isn’t all that surprising that there are some we know nothing about. Do you know if she will be finishing anytime soon?"

Rean shook his head. "I very much wish I could, but no, I don’t."

Roan glanced at the other cultivators gathered around them. "Have you taken a look at those guys? Anyone who could be a real problem?"

Rean then began pointing them out. "Those three over there are Zone Gods, no doubt. As for the rest, they are all Aura Gods and Anchor Gods. They shouldn’t be much of an issue."

Roan pondered for a moment. "If there are only three Zone Gods, it is manageable. Arcis, how is your strength now?"

"Even with the laws I can control, the limitation of my Godly Energy and Elemental Control would put me somewhere around the Late or Peak Stage of the Zone God Realm," Arcis explained.

"That would still make you the strongest among us," Roan concluded. "Rean, Celis, Kentucky, and I can more or less display the strength of an Initial Stage Zone God. Just like you, we are still far from being able to display our real strength."

"The main problem is our presence," Arcis continued, keeping his eyes on the surrounding cultivators. "We aren’t from here, so I don’t know if these guys will eventually figure out that we came from outside. That would definitely cause an even bigger commotion. Everyone would want to leave this place, after all."

"How about we scare them away?" Kentucky suggested as he looked at Arcis. "Senior Arcis, your strength might be limited, but you can still manipulate laws. That would show them you are a Law God, so no one would dare go against your orders."

"No," Roan immediately shook his head. "If he does that, he’ll attract even more attention. If those guys search for Arcis’s identity back in the city later, they will eventually find out that Arcis isn’t someone from there at all. It might lead to the discovery of our secret."

Kachia, Arcis’s daughter, didn’t think Kentucky’s plan was that bad. "Catch attention? Friend Roan, can we really catch more attention than what we are already attracting? I’m pretty sure we’ll be investigated regardless of whether my father shows proof of his cultivation or not."

Everyone went silent for a moment before Roan eventually nodded. "I see... Yes, your words make sense."

Arcis agreed as well. "Unless we kill everyone who saw us here, we won’t be able to stop questions from appearing in the city later. Since that’s the case, I’ll send everyone here away before even more cultivators arrive."

Finally, Arcis spread his wings as his Ice Element and Laws gathered around him. Everyone immediately felt the temperature around them plummet, even though the giant sphere of Red-Golden Flames was right beside them. "All of you, this is the only time I’m warning you. Get out of here and tell anyone else who is coming to stay away. Otherwise..."

Everyone felt Arcis’s murderous intent. More importantly, with so many Law Gods residing in Dlaval City, they could immediately tell that Arcis was also controlling Laws.

"A Law God!"

"Just our luck!"

"Shit!"

"Let’s go!"

No one dared oppose Arcis’s orders. The cultivators immediately dashed away without thinking twice, except for a single trio.

It was Fariu and his two companions, although all three of them now wore terrible expressions.

Arcis noticed them and began walking in their direction. "I wonder if you are deaf."

Fariu quickly bowed to Arcis. He might still have been skeptical about whether Rean was truly a Law God, but he was absolutely certain that Arcis was one. He knew better than to antagonize a Law God in the Woster Prison.

"Senior, we have no intention of causing trouble. However, I’ve already contacted my clan, and Elder Zikan-Tuio is on his way here. Could you at least wait to talk to him, Law God to Law God?"

Arcis narrowed his eyes. He was only pretending at the moment, as he definitely wouldn’t be able to fight at the Law God Level in his current condition. "Zikan-Tuio, you say?"

That made things more complicated. Of course, Arcis had no idea who this Zikan was. In fact, he didn’t even know which Clan Fariu belonged to in the first place.

"Yes!" Fariu noticed the freezing temperature stabilizing slightly, while the Laws of Ice around Arcis also began to recede. In his mind, Arcis was taking his Clan Elder into consideration. "It’s only him at the moment. Please refrain from taking any harsh actions until you talk to him. This junior will be truly grateful."

Arcis glanced at Roan and the others. Roan immediately made his decision and put a hand on Arcis to send him a Godly Sense message.

’Since there is already a Law God coming, and he is an ally of these guys, it is indeed better not to force them away. We can’t really fight a Law God as we are now.’

Of course, they actually could if Rean and Roan used the Sanctuary. However, that was a last resort, especially since Roan didn’t want to reveal the Sanctuary to Arcis and Kachia.

Arcis sighed and finally retracted his power. "Very well. In respect to Elder Zikan-Tuio, I will not be forceful with you bunch. But you’d better not be lying to me about it."

"We definitely aren’t, Senior!" Fariu sighed in relief.

*Dum-dum...*

However, before the situation could settle down, Rean suddenly felt a pulsation coming from the giant sphere of flames. His expression changed slightly as he looked toward it.

"Something is happening..."
