Death… And Me

Chapter 4566: Trust Roan

Chapter 4566: Trust Roan

Everyone looked at Azerion in surprise after hearing that. The problem was that Azerion looked just as surprised as everyone else.

"Me?! What are you talking about? I’ve nev-" Azerion suddenly stopped himself as a memory surfaced in his mind. "The years shortly after the calamity..."

Zandal confirmed it immediately. "The ones and the same."

Everyone else was lost, so Azerion took a moment to explain. "During the first years after my soul merged with part of the sealed space, I still hadn’t isolated myself from the Sect. I wasn’t pretending to be inactive back then. I was openly working with them."

He continued, "I obviously wanted to get myself free from that thing, so the Sect and I worked together. One of the things I managed to find out was that some of the ancient arrays throughout Woster were still usable... although no one knew how to use them. Of course, it was only a small portion compared to the countless arrays that made Woster what it was."

"In any case, the Sect obviously kept records of all those usable arrays, including the teleport arrays. Zandal said that I told him about them. He must mean the records regarding my earlier interactions with the Sect... back before they decided I was better off dead."

Zandal would have smiled if he had a normal face. Instead, the metallic blob simply rippled slightly. "Well, that is also true... But then again, that was something that happened before I was even born. Please don’t take it out on me."

Azerion snorted. "Hmph! Are you saying you wouldn’t have tried to kill me, considering everyone believed that killing me could possibly provide some clue about how to open Woster?"

"Oh! I would have been the very first to extract your heart and eat it if that were possible, trust me," Zandal replied without hesitation. "However, your barrier already existed by the time I was made aware of your existence, so I didn’t do anything to you, right?"

Azerion’s mouth twitched. "There is no difference there, idiot!"

Roan looked at Zandal with interest. Rather than simply saying that he couldn’t detect any lies from Zandal, it was more accurate to say that Zandal found the very idea of lying beneath him. He simply spoke his mind regardless of what others might think about his words. That kind of personality was unusual, especially for someone who had managed to reach the position of Sect Master.

"How did you even become the Sect Master like that?" Roan asked.

Zandal’s Laws suddenly began circulating around his metallic body. At the same time, a tremendous amount of Godly Energy gathered around him, much more than even two Tobaos could do. Tobao, of course, the other Law God from Besgol who is at the Late Stage.

The pressure released in that instant was ridiculously high. Even Azerion’s expression became serious as he instinctively raised his guard, while Arcis, Thery, Rean, Roan, and the others did the same. For a moment, the entire group felt as though they were standing in front of an enormous mountain of metal that had suddenly come alive.

"That’s how," Zandal said simply.

The pressure intensified for another moment. "I’m strong! I’m stronger than any other Law God in Woster! I do not lose! Ridiculous plots and other underhanded methods are meaningless against absolute strength!"

His words weren’t an exaggeration.

Roan didn’t doubt Zandal’s strength for a second. This wasn’t some exaggerated display meant to intimidate them. Roan recognized absolute confidence when he saw it, the kind of confidence forged through years and years of possessing unmatched power.

The twins’ group had always been far stronger than others at the same cultivation level, so Roan and the others understood that feeling very well. They knew what it was like to stand at a point where almost no one at the same realm could pose a genuine threat.

Zandal’s pressure disappeared as quickly as it had come, and his metallic body returned to its previous calm state as he continued floating. "Well, that’s about it. Since Woster was opened, and it was opened in a way that I can’t control, I definitely don’t want to be the Sect Master who has to deal with the aftermath of your actions."

He paused before adding, "Ever since I found out about outsiders, I kept an eye on the ancient teleport arrays mentioned in the Sect’s reports. I also hid those same reports so no one else would get in my way."

Arcis frowned. He wasn’t like Roan. He couldn’t simply determine whether someone was lying. "I still-"

Roan raised his hand, stopping Arcis before he could continue. "Let him come."

"Uh?!" Arcis stared at Roan in disbelief. "What are you saying? Are you crazy?!"

Roan shook his head. "It will be meaningless to try to stop him. He is a Peak Stage Law God and completely immune to the world’s Godly Pressure. I very much doubt he can’t eventually find his way to Besgol, especially since once he flies close enough, he will begin to see the clues left behind by the older Elite Explorations."

Roan then pointed toward Zandal. "As you can see, he can fly naturally, which is another advantage he has if he needs to look for Besgol on his own."

"Good man!" Zandal immediately sounded satisfied. "You wouldn’t be able to leave me behind anyway, so why prolong the suffering, right?"

Roan shook his head again. "If it was really necessary, I have a method to leave you behind. But since hiding Besgol from you would be nearly impossible anyway, there is no need to do such a thing."

Zandal clearly hadn’t expected that answer. "You seem confident. Should you really have told me that?"

Roan didn’t seem concerned in the slightest. "It’s fine. You wouldn’t have been able to do anything against it anyway."

Not only Zandal but the others were now curious about the method Roan was talking about.

Except for Kachia and Coyui.

They very much remembered what had happened before they met up with Arcis and the others back in Woster.

In Kachia’s case, she had personally witnessed Rean suddenly appearing out of nowhere together with Coyui, Roan, and Azerion, as if they had simply teleported directly to where she was. Azerion had still been unconscious at the time, so he didn’t remember anything about the experience.

As for Coyui, he had been inside the Vinx Great Void, even if only for a brief moment. From his perspective, he had simply disappeared from the Sect, passed through some different world, and then appeared beside Kentucky in the next instant.

The two of them were therefore quite certain that whatever method Roan was talking about had something to do with their strange teleportation ability.

Neither of them had ever seen a Pocket Dimensional Realm. In Kachia’s case, she had only heard about such things from ascenders. Unfortunately, even the ascenders could no longer use their own Pocket Dimensional Realms after arriving in the Celestial Plane.

Zandal could tell that Roan had no intention of elaborating, so he didn’t insist. "Well, so be it. Shall we go? From what Coyui told me during the interrogation, remaining in the Godly Creatures’ Territories for too long will attract more and more of them toward us. I would rather not waste that time."

Arcis narrowed his eyes, clearly still unhappy about bringing a Peak Stage Law God from Woster back to Besgol. However, Roan gave him a small nod.

So far, the twins hadn’t disappointed Arcis. They had genuinely done their best to help Besgol, even when doing so brought them considerable trouble, and Arcis had gradually come to trust their judgment. "Fine. We will go back now."

Zandal was quite excited. For the first time since leaving Woster, the former Sect Master of Rosvelt was finally going to see the outside world.
