Chapter 4582: The Chicken Or The Egg? III
And as if he could clearly perceive Noah’s shining eyes filled with boundless tyranny and hunger for understanding, the hairy form of Ul’moreth shone with obsidian gold light as he continued with somewhat jovial and laid back tone.
|Do not worry too much about the immediate threat of The Others for now, Little Anomaly,| he said with reassuring emphasis. |When it comes to that fundamental question about what came first, even I have not found an answer that satisfies me completely after eons of contemplation. The Ginnu Lifeforms emerged when The First Tongue was still being actively formed, when existence was learning to speak itself into structured reality, and even we cannot say with absolute certainty which came first because we were integral parts of that formation process itself.|
|We are the living evidence of the question, not the definitive answer to it. We witnessed the process but cannot say whether we observed language creating existence or existence creating language, because the two were so intertwined during formation that separation becomes impossible.|
His presence radiated patient teaching energy.
|What I can tell you is this with absolute conviction. The question matters tremendously because how you personally answer it shapes everything else about how you understand cultivation, advancement, and the fundamental nature of power itself. Those who believe Existence came first tend to view The First Tongue as a tool, certainly a powerful method but ultimately subordinate to the reality it describes. It is useful, it is effective, but it serves existence rather than commanding it.|
|Those who believe The First Tongue came first view it as the ultimate authority, the creative force that shapes all reality through proper pronunciation and grammatical structure. To them, existence itself is subordinate to language, merely the manifestation of what The First Tongue declares into being.|
His presence focused entirely on Noah with concentrated teaching intensity.
|You, Little Anomaly, by choosing The Way of Mana, by declaring The First Tongue as your fundamental path of cultivation, have implicitly chosen a side in this ancient debate whether you consciously realized it at the time or not. You are arguing through your very existence that The First Tongue holds primacy, that language shapes reality rather than merely describing what already exists.|
|And this philosophical position will be one of your greatest challenges going forward. You will encounter entities, powerful beyond measure, who favor the opposing view with passionate conviction. Who believe that Existence came first and that The First Tongue is merely a sophisticated tool for manipulating that pre-existing existence. They will challenge your path directly, they will argue against your fundamental assumptions, and they will seek to prove through combat and philosophical debate that their understanding is superior to yours. To Break your Way.|
|Some will not even care for debate at all and will simply attempt to collapse you immediately, those crazy violent things. They view your position as so fundamentally flawed that conversation is pointless.|
Ul’moreth’s voice carried genuine concern mixed with encouragement.
|How will you defend your position, Little Anomaly? How will you argue that The First Tongue deserves primacy when the very fact of your existence seems to prove that existence preceded your ability to speak? After all, you had to exist before you could learn The First Tongue, which appears to support the position that existence comes first.|
|This is not merely philosophical exercise or abstract contemplation. This is a question that will determine whether your Way can advance to its highest potential or whether it will collapse under the weight of its own contradictions and paradoxes. Reality itself will test whether your answer holds validity, and if it does not, your entire cultivation foundation may crumble.|
The obsidian gold diagrams that had been illustrating his points dissipated as Ul’moreth concluded this particular teaching.
|Your biggest challenge in the battles to come will not be learning to speak more Phonemes or even construct complex combinations of them. It will be arguing your answer to this fundamental question against those who favor the position that Existence came first, and convincing reality itself that your answer deserves to reshape the rules by which all things operate.|
His tone became more serious and warning.
|Do not meet The Others if you are not ready, Little Anomaly. They will absolutely curbstomp you and beat you sideways before they collapse you entirely or devour you for resources. Ah, it is frankly ridiculous how powerful they are. But hey, you have got me as a teacher, so you should be okay! Bahaha!|
Noah smiled at the words as he recognized how genuinely unique Ul’moreth was as an instructor.
Who could he truly think of in his past as a proper Teacher with capital T?
Khor and he had discussed existence and its nature extensively. Tor had helped him in similar ways as they also discussed existence and the mechanics of power. But Ul’moreth’s contributions to the understanding of his Way and the direct teaching of The First Tongue were on an entirely different level of impact.
And in regards to Ul’moreth’s words about not meeting any of The Others right now, this advice was already difficult to follow. He was already deeply embroiled with both THE Living Paradox and THE Creature through various conflicts and connections.
Paradox was a wild card that could be absolutely monstrous and disastrous if provoked or if circumstances aligned incorrectly.
He had to move cautiously and with extreme care.
"..."
He immediately sent a mental warning to The Infiniverse through their connection to be ready for absolutely anything and to prioritize survival above all other objectives.
Thereafter, his eyes burned with renewed hunger for more knowledge as he spoke to Ul’moreth with clear intention.
|I will keep everything you have said in mind and process it carefully,| he said with acknowledgment. |How about we talk more extensively about The First Tongue itself? Maybe I could learn more Phonemes to expand my vocabulary? Or perhaps you could teach me about what exists above Phonemes in the linguistic hierarchy?The...Logos?|
His search for knowledge was absolutely transparent and undisguised.
Ul’moreth and Ains looked at each other and laughed heartily at his enthusiasm, clearly pleased with such a dedicated student.
Ains turned around to continue his casual fishing in the chaotic waters below, his six arms moving with practiced motion as his line cast out once more.
Ul’moreth turned around and began walking toward the endless forests and mountains that stretched across The Primordial Genesis Shore.
|Let me take you further into this little place here,| he said with voice carrying invitation. |We shall walk and talk. Walk and talk! There is much more to see and much more to teach, Little Anomaly.|
Noah turned to nod at THE Fisherman for a goodbye as this entity smiled lightly and nodded back.
Ul’moreth’s obsidian gold hair flowed behind him as he began leading Noah deeper into the ancient territory where existence first learned to speak.
