Chapter 5382: Me! I
In another region of THE Source Lands, as THE Creature finished becoming what he was...far from there, in THE Hallowed Demesne, Noah arrived back into a quieter kind of becoming.
Spatial waves of THE Primordial Source buzzed around a certain leaf as he found himself back on those vibrant plots of lands.
He came back to find Dame Seraphine already at work managing the others. Andro was there, and the other Fifth Scale Source Lifeforms who had come along through Arkethys, and Seraphine was telling them, in that even authoritative way of hers, to give him space.
His Intent was still forming. A forming Intent at this level was a delicate thing, and a being deserved room to let it settle without an audience of Mesozoic eyes weighing every flicker of it!
Noah was grateful for that, though he did not say so. When it came to this particular work, he did not wish to show the Source Lifeforms any more than he had to. They had seen enough already. They had felt the purity of the thing forming in him, Seraphine especially, and the less they understood about what it actually was, the better.
They would be watching even from afar!
The prompts came as the others withdrew.
A Primordial Intent has emerged within THE Living Emotive in THE Braneworld Observable Existence. Designation: THE Amaranthine Sovereign, an Intent of Emotion and Ego. By the connection of her heart rooted within your existence, this Intent falls under your purview. You may call upon it and wield it as your own, at any time, because it is now part of your identity. It is one thread of the thing you are.
To call upon it: reach for it as you would reach for any expression of yourself. It will answer as your own, because the being who holds it is yours, and her record is woven into your record.
Noah reached for it.
A crimson-pink light surged around him, and the aura of a Primordial Intent blazed off his figure, THE Amaranthine Sovereign answering his call across the distance, the authority of emotion and Ego radiating from him as though it had always been his. It was grand!
It pressed on the air of THE Hallowed Demesne with the weight of a fifth-rarity Intent, the kind of thing that demanded acknowledgment from everything near it.
And underneath it, hidden beneath the borrowed brilliance, something entirely different was forming.
He used the crimson-pink blaze as cover, the way a man might raise one hand to draw the eye while the other did the real work. Let the Source Lifeforms feel a Primordial Intent if they felt anything at all. Let them file it under a thing they understood!
Beneath it, where their perception would not think to look, his own Intent gathered itself toward a shape that had no slot in anything they knew.
And as it gathered, Noah spoke to himself, quietly, in words only he could hear, and affirmed who he was.
"I’ve always been a simple human being," he said.
"That’s the thing I almost forgot myself a few times along the way. Filled with emotions and ideals, the same as anyone who ever stood in a dying world and decided not to die there. And I’ve changed. I’ve changed more times than I can cleanly count."
He let his thoughts run through it, unhurried.
"I was tyrannical when tyranny was what the moment asked of me. I was Quintessential, stripped down to the irreducible thing, when that was what survival required. I was paradoxical, holding two truths that wouldn’t resolve, when existence demanded I be two things at once. I wore all of it. And underneath every single version of it, through all the changing, I was always...only ever myself."
The Intent gathered, and he continued, and the monologue grew grand the way the quiet things grow grand when they are finally said plainly.
"I am many things. I genuinely cannot say I am Primordial, or I am Infinite, or I am any single concept taken to its absolute. That’s not me. That was never me. I’m not one thing made enormous. I’m a whole tangled pile of things that somehow...somehow add up to a person."
He almost smiled.
"I am just me. Noah Osmont. A farmer, before anything else, the patient art of growing things into what I decide they’ll become. A father. A son. A husband. A man. Those came first. THE Genesis Monarch and THE Youngest and THE Source Barbarian, all the grand names, they came after, and they were always just clothes on the man underneath."
He shook his head, and sighed, and the sigh carried a glorious kind of profundity, the weight of a being arriving at the truest version of himself.
And his eyes began to transform, and every cell of his body began to transform with them, and an utterly terrifying Intent took shape, one that released no aura at all, that pressed on nothing, that announced itself to no perception in the room, because a thing built on identity does not need to push against existence to be felt. It simply is, and being is enough.
And a large part of it...was tremendously blue.
Cerulean.
Immense!
THE Egoic Intent is emerging.
Designation: THE Egoic Intent of THE Quintessential Osmontian.
It is you. Your identity, your being, your record, your everything, compressed into a foundational truth and imposed upon existence not as a deed you have done but as the fact of what you are. Under THE Egoic Intent, every power you hold is reordered beneath the one thing that holds them. Whether it is Infinity or THE Primordial Source, your Quintessence or your Causes, your identity comes first, and they come second. You are the foundation. They are what the foundation carries.
HUUM!
You have gained the designation of a True Lifeform.
Specifically: because your identity comes first, before any power, before any concept, before any authority you wield, you have gained the designation of a Quintessential Osmontian True Lifeform. You walk no road laid by othrrd. Your Intent is not fixed at a rarity assigned from outside; it is your own, and it will rise as you rise, because it is not a thing you formed once but the living truth of who you are, growing as you grow.
A transformation of your very existence is now ongoing. When it completes, you will be, more purely and more completely than ever before, only one thing.
You.
As true as you can possibly be.
