Chapter 3329: A Rewarding Ocean Side Banquet

Chapter 3329: A Rewarding Ocean Side Banquet

Xiao Yin and Xiao Yang slithered between dishes, tasting everything with enthusiasm. Several women laughed seeing the twin snakes coil around a ten meter long King crab leg and tug at it like children fighting over a toy.

Ashy was still deep in cultivation inside the Sleepscape, otherwise she would have been delighted by the lively chaos.

Cattaleya devoured an entire roasted reef cracker crab leg, tearing chunks off with unabashed enjoyment. Elyon, watching her, muttered that she could probably win an eating contest without even trying.

Lin Mu sampled everything but his focus drifted toward the materials the clan had gifted him.

Several elders delivered trays filled with treasures of the ocean. Rare shells, coral pearls, water pearls, and water attributed herbs were included. But two materials stood out among all others.

The first was a soft, aromatic mass wrapped carefully in a jade box. It glistened faintly with a blue sheen. Shanhu Haiyang personally presented it.

"This is Ocean Breeze Fragrant Fish King Ambergris," he said. "The rarest treasure our clan possesses. My Grandfather found it washed ashore nearly thirty thousand years ago. We hope it helps you."

Lin Mu accepted it carefully.

He could feel the rich water elemental energy pouring out like gentle waves. His water core resonated the moment it came near. Clearly the clan had not hesitated at all in giving him one of their greatest treasures.

The second treasure was a pouch holding fine translucent sheets.

"Nine Oceans Isinglass," the elder said proudly. "Made from the essence of hundreds of aquatic immortal beasts. Extremely difficult to produce. May it aid your cultivation."

Lin Mu checked the amount, finding it to be about a hundred grams before he bowed slightly in gratitude. "Thank you. Both are invaluable."

Later, after the feast slowly calmed and the lanterns dimmed, Lin Mu returned to the courtyard prepared for him. The night breeze smelled like salt and flowers. He sat cross-legged and placed the two materials before him.

Then he activated his Omnicore Ascendancy.

First he absorbed the Nine Oceans Isinglass. The energy flowed gently, like freshwater entering a vast reservoir. His water core hummed and expanded.

Ninety three percent became ninety three point five.

"Small but good." He nodded with satisfaction.

Every fraction counted now.

Next he lifted the box of Ambergris. The moment he circulated his Qi, the material melted into pure liquid essence and rushed into him like cold tidal currents. His water core shivered, then pulsed brightly.

Ninety six percent.

Lin Mu exhaled slowly. "Just four percent more."

His water core had grown so powerful that only the rarest materials worked now. But progress was progress. He smiled faintly and closed his eyes for meditation.

The sounds of the banquet drifted softly in the distance, mixed with ocean waves gently brushing the island.

Tonight was a good night.

He hoped the next steps of their journey would be just as fruitful.

Morning on the Shanhu Clan’s floating island was always beautiful, but today it held a particular warmth. The crystal-blue waters reflected pale sunlight across the underside of the floating platforms, creating ripples of moving glimmers that looked like living stars. Even the coral spires hummed faintly, as if sharing the joy of the clan.

Lin Mu and his group had already packed all their belongings.

The barrels of Spiral Conch Pearl Wine, crates of rare sea herbs, and the precious elemental materials were stored safely inside their spatial tools. Little Shrubby paced near Lin Mu, tail flicking with excitement.

Meng Bai had spent the morning organizing the elixirs gifted by the clans including the Merkin and Fishkins. While Cattaleya and Daoist Chu exchanged last-minute notes with a couple of the clan’s formation experts who had been intrigued by Daoist Chu’s skills.

Though Daoist Chu was discussing the node structures of the Formations while Cattaleya was inquiring how many hits from her fist could break them.

Once everything was ready, they made their way toward the grand hall.

The central hall shone even brighter than usual. Rays of natural light bounced through the many reflective shell pieces embedded in the pillars, bathing the chamber in hues of silver and pale blue.

The floor was polished coral that felt cool beneath their feet, and water channels carved into the edges flowed with gentle streams of pure spring water. There was a sense of calm and reverence in the air.

Patriarch Shanhu Haiyang and all the elders were waiting inside, dressed in their formal robes. Even some Merkin delegates and Fishkin representatives had gathered, their scales shimmering in the light. It was clear the entire assembly had been preparing for this farewell.

The patriarch stepped forward, bowing deeply.

"We hope everything has been to your liking," he said. "I only regret that we could not reward you as you truly deserve."

Lin Mu shook his head gently. "Patriarch, your clan has already paid more than enough. We did nothing extraordinary. We only completed the mission we took."

Elyon coughed lightly. "That is not entirely true, Lin Mu. We went far above mission requirements. But yes, the patriarch should not worry. We received more than enough."

Still, Shanhu Haiyang looked troubled. "You did not simply escort our children. You provided us with knowledge that may solve a problem older than our current lineage. The matter of unity and the truth behind the curse are things we would have never uncovered alone. For this, we owe you more than words."

Before Lin Mu could respond, one of the Merkin leaders stepped forward. She was tall, with iridescent blue-green scales running along her arms and cheeks. Her gills fluttered faintly as she bowed.

"Honored Lin Mu, we also wish to offer thanks," she said. "Your discovery concerning our ancestors has immense importance for our tribes. We wish to express our gratitude with the few treasures our clan can spare."

Behind her, several attendants brought forth chests filled with rare underwater resources. Shell pearls, coral sprouts, deep ocean spirit fruits, vials of potent elixirs, and even fragments of Leviathan shells.
