Chapter 3433: Defeating Black Leg
BOOM.CRACK.THUD.
Shockwaves pulsed outward again and again, forcing the barrier arrays to reinforce themselves repeatedly. The stone platform beneath them was now covered in fissures, dents, and crushed hollows. Each time Daoist Black Leg stomped the ground, a new crater would appear. Each time Cattaleya countered, the ground would sink under her might.
Daoist Chu watched intently. "This is not a battle of profound techniques anymore. This is a battle of foundation, resilience, and pure physical cultivation."
Lin Mu nodded. "Both are suppressing themselves. They have not used their true skills yet."
Meng Bai clenched his fists in excitement. "Senior Catt is incredible. But Daoist Black Leg can really keep up with her."
Dongxu Ning watched silently, entranced by the exchange. "Yes. Their bodies are terrifying. Each collision could kill a normal Fifth Tribulation realm immortal."
As the fight stretched past the half hour mark, both cultivators began breathing more heavily, though neither seemed close to exhaustion.
Daoist Black Leg landed a powerful spinning kick at Cattaleya’s ribs. Her torso twisted, absorbing most of the blow, though the impact still pushed her several meters back.
He smirked slightly.
"You are starting to feel it. Your breathing is heavier."
Cattaleya snorted. "Of course it is. I am enjoying this."
She lunged forward, aiming a crushing punch toward his jaw. He ducked, twisting his thin frame like a ribbon, then retaliated with a rising knee that cracked against her hands as she blocked.
For the next ten minutes, they exchanged blow after blow in rapid succession. Legs like iron pillars clashed against fists like meteoric anvils. The air distorted, forming shock halos around them as their auras flared with every clash.
But finally, the tempo slowed.
Daoist Black Leg straightened his back and wiped blood from his lip. "Woman, you are troublesome. Your body is absurd. I have shattered some bones and they simply reform instantly."
Cattaleya stretched her arms lazily, the sound of popping joints echoing lightly. "Your legs sting. But I am getting bored."
Daoist Black Leg blinked.
"...bored?"
The crowd suddenly hushed as her words spread.
Daoist Black Leg raised a brow. "We have fought evenly for nearly an hour. And you say you are bored?"
Cattaleya shrugged. "At first it was fun. But now it is just the same repetitive thumping. When the excitement fades, the fight becomes dull."
Daoist Black Leg stared at her with an expression caught between disbelief and offense. "Woman, even exchanging blows with me is a privilege. I have not been matched in centuries. Are you telling me this is not enough?"
Cattaleya nodded casually. "It is not enough."
He narrowed his eyes. "Then have you had enough?"
"Yes," Cattaleya replied. Then she rolled her shoulders and cracked her neck. "Now I will stop playing."
Daoist Black Leg stiffened. The entire stadium went utterly silent.
Cattaleya grinned, showing all her teeth. "Time for a real punch."
Daoist Black Leg quickly shifted into a defensive stance, stacking layer upon layer of marrow force into his legs. A black sheen coated them until they almost resembled obsidian armor.
Lin Mu leaned forward, his Sword Heart trembling slightly.
"She is using her technique," he murmured.
Daoist Chu nodded. "She held back this entire time. Now she will strike seriously."
Cattaleya inhaled deeply and lowered her body.
Immortal essence surged around her fist, gathering like a cyclone. The air crackled with violent kinetic energy. The essence darkened, thickened, and formed a swirling blackish red aura.
That aura warped itself into the shape of a massive thorn, nearly ten meters long, extending from her arm like the spear of a demon.
The stadium erupted.
"Her real fist technique!"
"What is that technique?!"
"She finally stopped holding back!"
"Is she finally using her proper Fist Arts?" Lin Mu wondered.
He had heard about it from Cattaleya but she hadn’t used them before, mostly using her Greatsword or Slingshot, if not just her raw power. She had simply said that she didn’t need to use them normally as it was often overkill.
But she had said that Lin Mu might get to see them in the tournament.
Daoist Black Leg’s eyes widened as he felt the power behind that strike. His legs trembled faintly. He had thought she was near her peak already. He had been wrong. Very wrong.
Cattaleya dashed forward.
The thorn aura sharpened, its tip vibrating with destructive force.
"Duskthorn Fist Arts: Ravaging Thorn!"
Daoist Black Leg crouched a bit and slapped both palms against his legs, infusing every drop of marrow essence he had.
"Mammoth Pillar Guard!" he roared.
His legs hardened, thickened, and shone like polished black steel. He braced himself firmly and planted both legs deep into the cracked arena floor, forming a defensive stance that could withstand even a mountain collapse.
Cattaleya reached him.
She grinned.
"That looks fun to break."
The thorn fist struck.
BOOOOOOOOOOM.
The sound was unlike any previous clash.
The arena floor shattered beneath them. A shockwave tore upward, rattling the barrier arrays and nearly blowing spectators from their seats. The shock traveled through the entire stage and even resonated through the stadium walls.
Daoist Black Leg’s legs took the full force.
A clear cracking sound echoed.
KACHA
His right leg bent backward at a horrifying angle.
A split second later, his body was launched from the ring like a stone shot from a catapult. He flew through the air, hit the barrier, and crumpled to the ground with blood spraying from his lips.
He did not move.
The referee froze for a breath before raising a trembling hand.
"Winner... Cattaleya Duskthorn!"
The stadium exploded into cheers.
The One Flick Woman had unleashed her Duskthorn Fist Arts, and the result was absolute.
Cattaleya shook her fist lightly. "Finally. That felt good."
Meanwhile Daoist Black Leg lay unconscious, his leg bent at a bone chilling angle, his body twitching faintly.
Lin Mu exhaled with mild amusement. "That man lasted long. Truly impressive."
Dongxu Ning shivered. "Master Cattaleya... is terrifying."
Meng Bai gulped. "I am glad she is an ally."
Daoist Chu sighed. "That poor man will regret waking up."
Cattaleya just cracked her knuckles again and stretched casually.
"Next."
