Chapter 3802: Nightmare For Discipline and Law Division
Silence filled the room for ten seconds.
Then...
"Hahahahahaha!" High Elder Shatter Peak exploded into laughter.
The giant slapped his thigh so hard that the sound echoed through the hall. His booming laughter spread throughout the entire chamber. Several Wild Peak affiliated elders watching from afar on monitoring formations immediately grinned.
The body cultivation elders from Man Peak on the other hand looked devastated. A few formation elders sighed. Several sword elders shook their heads. The administrative elders looked resigned.
And the Discipline and Law Division elders... The Discipline and Law Division elders looked as if someone had informed them of an incoming natural disaster.
One particularly old law elder slowly sat down, his eyes had lost all life. Another elder covered his face with both hands, while a third simply stared blankly into the distance.
"What happened to them?" Little Bull asked.
No one answered.
The law elders already knew exactly what had happened. A monster had just joined the one place he should never have joined.
Little Bull was already dangerous. He possessed enough physical power to defeat immortal beasts while remaining a mortal. He possessed almost no understanding of sect etiquette. He possessed little understanding of politics.
He asked whatever came to mind, he acted however he pleased and now he had been handed over to Wild Peak.
The peak famous for creating walking disasters.
One law elder recalled several incidents from the past century. A Wild Peak disciple who had punched through six mountain formations because he thought there was a shortcut. Another who had challenged thirty disciples simultaneously because he was bored.
One particularly memorable individual who had accidentally started a conflict between three divisions after misunderstanding a joke. And all of them had eventually been defended by their elders.
Especially High Elder Shatter Peak.
The giant had personally carried several disciples away from disciplinary hearings, sometimes literally.
The law elders had never forgiven him, and now Little Bull was joining them. A terrifying future began forming in their minds.
They could already imagine the reports:Property damage, unauthorized duels, restricted area violations, accidental destruction of training grounds, misunderstandings leading to fights, fights leading to bigger fights, bigger fights leading to elder interventions.
The possibilities were endless.
Meanwhile High Elder Shatter Peak looked happier than anyone had ever seen him. He placed a hand on Little Bull’s shoulder and the impact nearly shook the floor.
"Good!" The giant laughed. "Very good!"
Little Bull nodded. "Do I get food now?"
The giant stared, then laughed even harder.
"Boy!" He pointed toward the exit. "Let’s get food!"
Little Bull immediately smiled.
Behind them, the law elders looked as if they had just witnessed the beginning of a very long nightmare.
And perhaps they had.
After all, what none of them knew was that Little Bull was already hiding secrets greater than anything they could imagine.
Yet even without those secrets, they already feared him. If they ever discovered who Lin Mu truly was beneath that simple appearance, many of them might decide that the current situation had actually been the better outcome.
For now though, one thing had become certain.
Little Bull had officially become a disciple of Wild Peak and the Heavenly Stream Guardian Sect would never be quite as peaceful again.
The moment Little Bull agreed to join Wild Peak, High Elder Shatter Peak seemed to lose all remaining patience. The giant body cultivator immediately grabbed the young man by the shoulder and turned toward the exit.
"Good! Then we’re done here!" he boomed.
"Wait!" Several elders instantly stood up. "You can’t leave yet!"
"The disciple registration isn’t complete!"
"There are still procedures!"
"The assignment records haven’t been finalized!"
The giant didn’t even slow down, he simply continued walking. The floor trembled beneath his footsteps as Little Bull was practically dragged along.
One administrative elder hurried after him. "High Elder! At least sign the transfer documents!"
"No."
"The disciple identification token!"
"Later."
"The official records!"
"Later."
"The housing assignment!"
"Later."
"The registration seal!"
"Later."
The administrative elder nearly burst into tears. "Then when!?"
High Elder Shatter Peak finally glanced back. "When I remember."
The elder almost collapsed while the giant continued walking without another word. Little Bull obediently followed behind him as the hall soon vanished from sight. Behind them, dozens of elders stared at the empty doorway.
Several sighed while others looked exhausted.
One elderly administrator sat down heavily. "We’ll have to send people to Wild Peak again."
Another administrator rubbed his temples. "Of course we will."
"And they’ll ignore us."
"Of course they will." A third elder let out a long sigh. "Who’s volunteering?"
The room immediately became silent as not a single person moved. The administrators exchanged looks and everyone knew exactly what would happen.
They would travel all the way to Wild Peak. They would present the documents. Someone from Wild Peak would forget to sign them. They would return. Then another mistake would be discovered.
They would have to go back. Then a disciple would be missing. Then a seal would be missing. Then someone would lose the forms. The entire process would repeat several times.
Such things happened often enough that many administrators already considered Wild Peak their natural enemy.
One of the elders finally shook his head. "Send some junior administrators."
"Agreed."
"No one here wants to deal with Shatter Peak."
The others nodded immediately.
Meanwhile, completely unaware of the administrative suffering he had caused, High Elder Shatter Peak marched directly toward one of the nearby mess halls. Little Bull followed behind while looking around curiously.
The mess hall itself was enormous and several hundred people could dine there simultaneously. Rows upon rows of tables filled the spacious building while servants moved back and forth carrying food.
The hall was lively as disciples chatted and servants worked. Some elders even occasionally stopped by and the atmosphere was relatively cheerful. That lasted until High Elder Shatter Peak entered.
The entire hall froze and then a moment later chaos erupted. Chairs scraped against floors as disciples grabbed their trays and Conversations stopped abruptly.
People began moving fast and by the time High Elder Shatter Peak reached a large circular table near the center of the hall, nearly twenty people had vacated it. Some stood up calmly while others almost ran.
One disciple left so quickly that he forgot his food.
Little Bull looked around in confusion as the table was large enough for twenty people comfortably. But now only two seats remained occupied, his and High Elder Shatter Peak’s.
The giant sat down heavily as the table creaked while Little Bull sat across from him.
He looked around. "Where did everyone go?"
The giant snorted. "They’re scared."
Little Bull blinked. "Of you?"
"Probably." The giant seemed entirely unconcerned.
