His cool voice carried a low, unreadable tone, devoid of emotion. Not even a hint of expression or warmth graced his face. Yue’er’s heart skipped a beat. Feeling guilty and uneasy, she lowered her head, her small hands tugging at the hem of his robe, unsure what to say.

Seeing her slightly anxious expression, the Azure Emperor sighed inwardly and softened his tone. "Do you think you’ll dare disobey your master again? Sneak out of the mountain?"
