Chapter 6374 Blood Moon Divine Slaughter

BOOM!

The Bloodfiend Halberd tore through the air. Long Chen raised his saber to block, but it shattered the instant it was struck.

Just like that, Long Chen went flying like a shooting star, slammed into the ground, and a wave of dirt rose around the impact.

Long Chen climbed from the crater slowly, spitting blood and wiping it from his lips. His eyes crackled with cold light.

Meanwhile, Cang Lu hovered in the air above Long Chen. Black flowers bloomed from his Sovereign flames, and within each petal countless twisted faces contorted. They looked like ghoulish mouths that wailed without end.

“How vicious.” Long Chen’s gaze was icy. He had not expected the reinforcements to be offered as blood sacrifices. Cang Lu had used them to ignite his dormant strength.

With endless killing intent blazing in his eyes, Cang Lu grinned. “They were followers of my Dark line. Their lives belonged to me from the start, just like how my life belongs to the great Dark Master. If the Dark Master wills it, I will gladly offer myself in sacrifice. As for you, little human ant, you have humiliated a glorious Dark Son more than once. Today I will make you suffer unending torment to atone for your sins.”

Cang Lu waved his hand. Black pillars erupted into the air and drove into the earth. The next moment, the surrounding space contracted and was sealed.

Carved with countless spider totems, the thirty-two black pillars arranged themselves into a formation that left Long Chen nowhere to run.

With a twisted grin, Cang Lu declared, “Long Chen, you are a mere ant. At my peak, I could have killed you a thousand times with a flick of my finger. Did you really think I could not deal with you? I have countless ways to end you. I spared you only because killing an ant would slow my recovery. But by sacrificing some believers, I can show you why they call me the Bloodfiend Devil Lord.”

“Ignite!”

At his shout, the thirty-two pillars flared.

Long Chen’s body trembled. To his surprise, his bloodline power flew out of his body, as if dragged away by something. Then, he formed hand seals with speed, forcing his bloodline into a stabilizing coil.

“Keep struggling, ant,” Cang Lu snarled. “My Bloodfiend Grand Formation will leech your bloodline, then your soul, then everything. Originally, your power was too little for me to use this on you; the cost wouldn’t be worth it. But if I can make you writhe as you die, it’ll be worth it.”

The next moment, the space around Long Chen warped, and the suction intensified. Still, Long Chen’s bloodline was densely condensed, so this level of pull could not strip it.

Seeing Long Chen focusing fully on resisting this pull, Cang Lu grew even more excited and formed another string of seals.

The thirty-two black pillars shuddered and erupted into a new flame. Then, a high, ear-splitting wail tore the air.

“Now have a taste of the Bloodfiend Soul Extraction!” laughed Cang Lu.

For the first time, there was finally something coming out of Long Chen’s body—some kind of thin black threads.

“Eh?” Cang Lu raised an eyebrow when he saw those black threads.

He asked, “Why would you have the Ghost Dao’s aura on you?”

“I’ll tell you if you call me Daddy!” responded Long Chen as he resisted.

“You really are courting death!” Cang Lu roared. “Who cares if you have ties to the Ghost Dao? You’ll still die here!”

His fury boiled over. Even at the brink of death, Long Chen’s tongue was as sharp as ever. There was no fear in his eyes.

The flames on the thirty-two pillars surged higher, and the suction force grew violent, threatening to tear Long Chen apart. Black threads came flying out of his body.

“You’re truly lucky,” the Earth Cauldron sighed. “The Ghost Sovereign’s mark has always been a hidden danger in you. Now, Cang Lu is helping you purge it. When you ascend to the Divine Sovereign realm, you won’t have to fear the Ghost Sovereign meddling.”

“Senior, who exactly is the Ghost Sovereign? Cang Lu clearly recognizes his aura,” Long Chen asked.

“You shouldn’t ask. His Dark line clearly has some tie to the Ghost Sovereign, but that’s irrelevant. What matters is this—removing the mark isn’t easy. Keep provoking him. Force him to push his formation further,” urged the Earth Cauldron.

Infuriate Cang Lu? That was all too easy for Long Chen.

“Is that all you have? You really are a maggot, a dung beetle—no! You’re like a dog who only knows how to bark.”

Cang Lu nearly exploded with rage. His hand seals flashed, and the flames coming from the pillars soared into the heavens, filling the sky with their power.

A huge amount of black qi came flying out of Long Chen’s body, endless and overwhelming.

“You... you carry the Ghost Sovereign’s mark!” Cang Lu shouted, his expression twisted. “You bastard, you dared to use me?!”

The truth struck Cang Lu instantly. That much black qi, that aura—it could only mean one thing.

“Fool, so what if I’m using you?” Long Chen sneered. “Do I need to pay you for the favor?”

Long Chen instantly felt lighter. In the earlier stages of his cultivation, he had been unable to sense the Ghost Sovereign’s mark.

However, as his power increased, so too had the mark’s influence. It pressed on him like a hidden blade, leaving him in constant danger. He had tried countless methods to erase it, yet none succeeded. Even the Earth Cauldron had been powerless to remove it—at least for a time.

Now, to his surprise, Cang Lu had done it for him. It was as if a malignant tumor had been ripped from his body. For the first time in years, Long Chen felt refreshed to his core.

“Fool, so what?! You’ll still die!” Cang Lu shouted like a madman.

All of a sudden, Long Chen felt a sharp pain tear through his soul, as though it were being wrenched from his body.

The Bloodfiend Grand Formation was terrifying indeed—it directly devoured a person’s blood and soul essence.

“Evilmoon, I’ll give you everything—every drop of astral energy. Success or failure depends on you.”

The seven astral gates burst open once more in the starry sea behind him, pouring everything into the Starry Sky Battle Robe.

At the same time, endless blood-colored petals flew around Long Chen. Now, every single one of them had specks of starlight shining on them.

In an instant, billions of petals carved through the thirty-two pillars, causing explosions to rip through the battlefield. Cang Lu spat blood, his eyes wide with disbelief.

The petals then surged together, condensing into a single, sinister saber.

The heavens trembled, and the earth wailed. Behind Long Chen, the starry sea collapsed into darkness. The astral gates slammed shut, and even the Starry Sky Battle Robe vanished.

All that remained was Evilmoon. It was cloaked in endless stars, radiating a killing intent so vast that the world itself quaked in terror.

“Blood Moon Divine Slaughter!”

Long Chen roared the name that Evilmoon had whispered into his soul. Then, the saber cleaved downward, blood-colored starlight mercilessly splitting the void.
