Nine Star Hegemon Body Art

Chapter 6624 Star Meteor

Chapter 6624 Star Meteor

“In the heavenly tribulation, you helped me shoulder part of the energy. The backlash of that astral power carved star diagrams into your bodies,” Long Chen said. “Those diagrams carry my will. If left unchecked, they will interfere with your future cultivation paths.”

His gaze swept over them.

“Everyone, hold on a bit longer. I will use my astral energy to withdraw my will. While we do so, you may also use this astral energy to repair any hidden injuries. It will temper your physical bodies as well.”

Everyone was startled. By their own senses, they had already recovered completely. Yet, this astral energy was so domineering that it had etched Long Chen’s will directly into their flesh.

If that will remained, it would suppress their own will, subtly diverting their paths of cultivation.

Starlight descended.

The leaves of the Seven Treasure Colored Glass Tree swayed gently, scattering starlight across everyone present. The world instantly seemed surreal, as though separated from reality itself.

Under this starlight, everyone shuddered. Then, specks of starlight appeared throughout their bodies.

As Long Chen’s astral energy flowed through their bodies, those specks were gradually forced out of hiding. Wherever they emerged, they left tiny wounds where they had been hiding—wounds that were immediately mended by the same astral energy.

At the same time, these experts clearly sensed their physical bodies strengthening in silence.

Long Chen absorbed the expelled specks of starlight directly. His own astral energy surged, growing ever more refined.

“This level of astral energy...” Xue Ying muttered, shocked.

She had never seen anyone in this realm control such vast astral power with this degree of precision.

Almost instantaneously, Long Chen retrieved the astral energy he had dispersed. He could clearly feel it—his astral energy had stepped into a new realm.

Long Chen sighed inside. If it weren’t for everyone’s help last time, this much astral energy would have been lost for eternity.

Since everyone was exhausted, it would take some time for them to recover from the astral wounds. They couldn’t be impatient.

As for Long Chen, he reclaimed his astral energy almost instantaneously. Previously, he couldn’t hold this much astral energy. Now, as a Sovereign Lord, he absorbed them without much effort.

“Xue Ying, I will emulate that divine ability now. You help me test it out!” said Long Chen.

Xue Ying was startled. “Lord Long Chen... most of my memories of that technique have already faded. I don’t dare say I can—”

“It’s fine,” Long Chen interrupted calmly. “Just recall whatever memories you can while I try it out. You should still recognize parts of it. I’ve grasped the majority already, but the final section was quite chaotic. Still, it shouldn’t be impossible to straighten out.”

Not giving Xue Ying any chance to refuse, Long Chen formed a series of hand seals and summoned some star diagrams in the sky.

As his hand seals changed, star diagrams layered on top of each other. They grew larger and larger, pulling in more and more stars.

At this sight, Xue Ying’s heart tightened. Such a terrifying divine ability, if mishandled, could kill its user outright. But since Long Chen had already started, she focused intently.

As Long Chen had said, although her memories were gone, she still had some impressions of it. As she watched, faint recollections started to surface.

When thousands of star diagrams merged, the world started to shake uneasily.

It wasn’t long before Long Chen reached the final section—the very point where the technique had collapsed when she first transmitted it to him.

“Lord Long Chen, these two star diagrams are not in the right order!” said Xue Ying suddenly.

Long Chen immediately changed them, searching for the proper path in their merger.

“This one is right...”

“This one is wrong...”

“Aiya, these two are too similar. I can’t confirm which one is right...”

Xue Ying started to sweat. Some of the star diagrams felt right, but she couldn’t be sure.

Still, Long Chen did not pressure her. Instead, he reassured her, telling her to mark whichever parts she suspected were incorrect and continue forward. If the technique failed later, they would simply restart from that point.

Time passed bit by bit.

Xue Ying’s imperfect recollections led to dozens of failures, each one making her more antsy.

However, Long Chen still looked calm.

“There’s no hurry,” Long Chen said. “Every mistake brings us one step closer.”

Naturally, Xue Ying was aware of that. Still, as the one responsible for each error, every failure was a personal blow to her pride.

Moreover, deducing a divine ability of this level placed an immense strain on the mind. She feared that even Long Chen wouldn’t be able to endure that long.

Three days passed.

After countless breakdowns and restarts, Xue Ying had gone numb.

Staring at the sky filled with star diagrams made her scalp prickle. Her head throbbed violently, her Spiritual Strength completely drained once more.

However, Long Chen hadn’t given up, so she continued enduring, even as she approached her limit.

This complicated divine ability was a harsh trial to a person’s Spiritual Strength. It was no different than torture for Xue Ying as she dredged up half-forgotten memories.

Then, as she drifted into a semi-unconscious state, the stars in the sky suddenly brightened. Astral light connected them.

Xue Ying jolted awake.

Only now did she see that Long Chen’s hands were covered in stars. A sphere of condensed astral power churned violently between his palms.

“That’s...!”

Xue Ying’s eyes widened. She held her breath, not daring to move.

Long Chen was just one step away from success. If he truly completed the deduction, he would immediately know the technique’s name. The moment he shouted its name, the divine ability would be finalized.

However, if he failed to call out its name—or called out the wrong one—the astral energy would spiral out of control. He could be obliterated on the spot.

Suddenly, Long Chen’s eyes snapped open.

“Star Meteor!”

The star diagrams suddenly contracted into a giant sphere. Surrounded by star diagrams, the enormous sphere fell from the sky, smashing straight toward Long Chen himself.

“Fuck!” Long Chen cursed, his expression pale.

As his mind was consumed by the deduction, he even forgot the most fundamental rule—one could not recklessly call out the name of a divine ability.

As this giant star fell from the sky, the world shuddered uneasily. A violent pressure startled everyone awake. If that star really did fall, everyone would be instantly exterminated. Even Long Chen himself would be unable to escape.

“Sweeping elder, save us!” he shouted.
