Reborn at Boot Camp: General, Don’t Mess Around!

Chapter 5396: Tricked

Chapter 5396: Chapter 5396: Tricked

Cyril was quite satisfied with Mr. Will’s performance, but Noah was not, having originally planned to auction off both paintings tonight. He had arranged for male soldiers waiting outside to follow and seize the opportunity to take them.

But now, the auction house had been bombed, and the first painting that had been sold was not handed over to the buyer. It all went back into Cyril’s hands.

He didn’t want to confront Cyril about this, but... the time had come when he had to.

Someone had dared to bomb Cyril’s venue, which showed how much that person wanted to take all four paintings from Cyril.

These were the paintings that his country had been missing for over a decade, and now they were right in front of him. No matter what, he had to bring these four paintings back to his country.

Noah with a dark expression sat inside the car, waiting for the scattered Mr. Will to emerge, and continuously pondered how to snatch the paintings back from Cyril. Someone knocked on the car window and quickly pulled open the door to lean inside.

"Colonel, we have a male soldier missing."

The person getting into the car brought Noah some even more distressing news, causing Noah’s face to turn as frosty as ice, "Missing?"

"Yes, Colonel, missing. We’ve searched around and can’t find any trace of him. We suspect... he’s likely been sacrificed."

Likely sacrificed... Noah’s lips pressed into a sharp line as he looked towards the raging fire, feeling a heaviness sinking into his chest bit by bit.

If he had truly been sacrificed, hope would have been consumed by the fire. If... if he had been found by Cyril’s men, then... a dangerous light flickered in Noah’s hazel eyes, then, their confrontation with Cyril would start very soon.

The mobile phone rang, and the flickering screen cast Noah’s face in a ghostly, grim light. He answered the phone, and Mr. Will’s voice came through.

"Noah, was that your doing just now? Have you gone mad? Blasting Cyril’s auction, you must be out of your minds, insane! All of you are damn lunatics!!"

He yelled loudly, both anxious and angry, his voice filled with profound fear, "Cyril is very, very, very angry right now, searching everywhere for the guy who ruined his auction. You’ve gotten me into danger too! You lunatics! Lunatics!"

Noah quietly closed his eyes; Mr. Will thought that he was the one who had bombed the auction.

"Mr. Will, I need the paintings, and destroying the auction venue is of no benefit to me. Where are you now? I’m waiting in the car, we need to meet!"

Noah cut off the call, issuing orders to the subordinate in the car, "Regroup, head back to the hotel."

The hotel was now their territory, and all their weapons were there too. If Cyril really wanted to find them, at least they had weapons to defend themselves.

Mr. Will quickly arrived, and without waiting for Noah to speak, he burst into rage as he got into the car, "You lunatics, why didn’t you tell me about this huge matter in advance? What do we do now, what do we do!?"

"Cyril will never let us off, he will never forgive us! Do you understand? You lunatics, do you understand?!"

Caught in his fury, Noah didn’t bother explaining to someone who had lost control of his emotions and simply ordered the driver to go.

Meanwhile, Cyril, looking at the body that had been dragged back, examined the person’s palms and wrists closely, a Caucasian who often handled a pistol.

"Caucasian..." With a harsh look in his eyes, Cyril stood up. After a few seconds of standing still, he gave a fierce order, "Find out where he’s from... no, find out where he’s been living and where he’s been recently. I’m very curious now to see who dares to be my enemy."
