Chapter 3102: Xu Xin Save Me…

Chapter 3102: Xu Xin, Save Me…

“Xu Xin, save me…” Gong Rong was running at full speed, heading straight for Ning Shu.

Ning Shu immediately said, “Driver, go! Step on it!”

“Is he calling for you?” the driver asked, a little confused.

Ning Shu’s expression was ice-cold. “I don’t know him.”

Gong Rong was running fast, but suddenly his body jolted like he’d been shot.

Someone must’ve fitted a silencer and was trying to assassinate Gong Rong.

But what did that have to do with her?

“Xu Xin! You damned woman, save me!” Gong Rong clutched his arm, still chasing the car.

Ning Shu said flatly, “Driver, we’re in a hurry. Please go faster.”

“You really didn’t hear someone calling you?” the driver asked, conflicted.

Ning Shu shook her head. “You’re imagining things. I didn’t hear anything at all.”

The driver glanced at her through the rearview mirror. Her face was upright, righteous—serious to the point of absurdity. He was speechless.

The driver pressed the accelerator, speeding up, and quickly left Gong Rong far behind.

Gong Rong: …

D*mn, this woman was seriously heartless.

Gong Rong was dizzy and light-headed. He could feel blood oozing between his fingers. Still, he had no choice but to keep running.

Suddenly, a hand reached out and yanked him aside. Another hand clamped over his mouth.

Gong Rong’s heart pounded furiously in his chest.

Meanwhile, Ning Shu extended her spiritual consciousness to check whether there were any tracking devices on Gong Rong.

Then she hoisted him up and sprinted.

Gong Rong, hanging upside down and flushed from the blood rushing to his head: …

At this rate, he’d bleed out from all this shaking.

Ning Shu arrived at a small motel, one tucked far away from the city center. It wasn’t the same one as before, and the surrounding area didn’t even have streetlights.

When Ning Shu entered the room, Mother Xu was sitting on the bed. Seeing Ning Shu return, she let out a breath of relief and quickly shut the door behind them.

Ning Shu tossed Gong Rong roughly onto the bed, right on top of his injured arm.

The pain nearly made Gong Rong abandon all dignity and scream.

“Be gentle,” he groaned. Seeing his delicate features, even Mother Xu felt a pang of sympathy.

Ning Shu headed downstairs to buy some medical supplies. She was planning to dig the bullet out of his arm herself.

Gong Rong was frail to begin with. After taking a bullet, he looked like he’d lost half his life already. By the time Ning Shu came back with the supplies, he had passed out completely.

His face was utterly drained of color.

“Is he going to be okay?” Mother Xu asked, worried.

Well, women often did have a tendency to deceive themselves. With that much blood loss, how could he possibly be okay?

Ning Shu tore up a bedsheet and used it to tie Gong Rong down to keep him from thrashing.

Then she pulled off her own sock, rolled it up into a ball, and stuffed it into his mouth.

It was going to hurt—better to keep him from screaming.

Mother Xu: …

Was this… really her daughter!?

Ning Shu sterilized the forceps with alcohol and extended her spiritual consciousness to examine Gong Rong’s wound.

Spiritual consciousness really was an amazing thing.

“Mom, hold down this arm for me,” Ning Shu said to Mother Xu.

Mother Xu hesitated. Her voice trembled as she said, “Xinxin… maybe we should just take him to the hospital?”

Ning Shu let out a sinister little chuckle. “Trust me, Mom. He’ll be fine.”

She pinpointed the bullet’s location and inserted the forceps into the bullet wound.

The moment she touched the damaged tissue, Gong Rong jolted up from the pain and began thrashing violently. His body was soaked with sweat, and veins bulged across his face and neck, making him look twisted and terrifying.

Ning Shu gripped the bullet with the forceps and pulled it out.
