Re: Evolution Online

Chapter 1468 - 1469: Slaughter

In the midst of this madness, two Dao Kings accompanied Derek and the two demonesses, teleporting them to the distant place where the Green Mountain ancestor, the little girl, her sister, and the butler were already seated. That group was not faring all that better.

The Green Mountain ancestor was also dumbstruck. He truly hadn't expected something like this. He had asked for a show, and the brat had given him a spectacle!

Itzel was having the exact opposite reaction. "Big Bro!" She shot to her feet and pointed excitedly toward the battlefield. "Big Sis! Look! Look! There are so many Big Bros!"

Her sister didn't respond. Her sister was staring at the sky with an expression Itzel had almost never seen on her face. Complete bewilderment.

Karim wasn't doing much better. As someone who had served the Milky Way family for many years, he had accompanied its members across worlds and met beings whose names alone could alter the price of resources across entire regions.

The Auction House's business naturally brought him into contact with powerful cultivators, and while he himself couldn't claim to stand at their level, he at least knew enough to understand what he was looking at. That knowledge wasn't helping. If anything, it made everything worse.

"Young Mistress..." He opened and closed his mouth speechlessly.

When Derek and the two demonesses arrived next to them along with the two soul avatars, the whole group sat together in shock and awe, slowly trying to digest what was happening. They did not know whether to stare at the five Liams now standing guard around them or at the chaotic, unbelievable scene unfolding in front of them.

Not just them, but many beings on the battlefield were beginning to question whether what they were seeing was real.

These weren't inexperienced cultivators who could be frightened by a little pressure.

Many had lived for tens or even hundreds of thousands of years, traveled across countless worlds, witnessed the rise and destruction of great factions, explored ancient ruins, survived secret realms, and encountered geniuses whose names had once shaken entire regions.

Several were Dao Kings themselves, ancient monsters who had reached a level of cultivation most beings could only dream about. Yet none of that experience helped them understand the scene before them.

Across the battlefield, the fighting over Liam's herbs had almost completely ceased. Cultivators who had been willing to tear each other apart moments earlier now floated silently with priceless vials still clutched in their hands, their attention entirely consumed by what was happening around them.

Even those who had successfully obtained SSS-ranked treasures had forgotten to celebrate.

An old man slowly looked down at the vial in his hand. Then toward Liam. Then back at the vial. His expression became complicated. A terrifying thought had occurred to him.

This bastard had just thrown around a hundred treasures like this simply to prevent people from leaving. What kind of fucking wealth allowed someone to do that? More importantly, why had he wanted them to stay?

And then it began.

The hundreds of soul avatars simply moved, and people started dying.

BOOOOOOOOOOM!

The first explosion came from the western edge of the battlefield, where seven avatars descended upon one of the Blood Court's enormous crimson warships. The ancient vessel had crossed countless worlds and survived wars between supreme factions, its hull reinforced with formations powerful enough to endure attacks from Dao Grand Masters.

It lasted less than three seconds.

A Liam surrounded by violent arcs of purple lightning appeared above the vessel and brought one hand down. Lightning spread across the entire warship like a living web, instantly overloading hundreds of formations, while two more avatars tore through the weakened barriers from opposite sides. Before the vampires aboard could react, another Liam appeared beneath the vessel and punched upward.

KARAKABOOOOOM!

The kilometer-long warship folded in half.

Crimson metal, broken formations, and thousands of vampires scattered through the sky as the vessel exploded. Several powerful figures managed to escape the initial destruction, only to discover three more Liams already waiting outside.

There was nowhere to go.

Across the battlefield, the Celestial Court suffered the same fate.

"FORMATION!"

A Celestial commander roared as dozens of golden arrays activated simultaneously. Thousands of paladins moved with extraordinary discipline, their divine energy connecting together until an enormous golden barrier covered several floating temples and war chariots.

For a moment, the formation looked magnificent. Then a Liam carrying a black spear appeared above it. A thin black point appeared in the center of the barrier. Then cracks spread outward.

KACHA!

The entire formation shattered. Five avatars descended through it. The sky became gold and blood.

The Celestial Court had numbers. It had discipline. It had ancient formations, powerful artifacts, terrifying war machines, and cultivators who had conquered worlds beneath its banner.

None of that changed one simple fact. Most of them weren't Dao Kings. The difference was horrifying. A Dao Lord couldn't meaningfully interfere. A Dao General could barely withstand the pressure. Dao Masters survived longer, while Grand Masters might actually exchange several attacks depending on their foundations and treasures.

But when dozens upon dozens of genuine Dao Kings descended simultaneously?

They died, and thousands of years of cultivation disappeared along with them in seconds.

BOOM!

A golden chariot exploded.

BOOOOOOM!

A crimson fortress split apart.

KARAKABOOOOOM!

Three Celestial formations collapsed simultaneously as a massive blade of condensed wind tore across hundreds of kilometers.

Everywhere the watching cultivators looked, there was another Liam.

One avatar moved through a formation of vampires without carrying any weapon at all. Every time he touched someone, their body withered and collapsed, while another Liam behind him swept his hand through the air and released a sea of blue flames that swallowed an entire Blood Court battalion.

A Celestial Archon intercepted the flames. "Impudent!" His divine staff struck downward. The flaming avatar raised one hand.

BOOOOOOM!

The Archon's expression changed when his staff stopped. Another Liam appeared behind him. The Archon sensed him and spun instantly, golden divine energy exploding from his body. It was too late. A palm struck his back, and his divine armor shattered.

He shot forward directly toward the first avatar, who caught him by the throat. For one horrible moment, the Archon found himself suspended between two identical faces. Then both attacked.

BOOM!

His body disappeared. The soul tried to escape, but it didn't get far. Misty-white energy swept across it. The Archon's soul vanished into Liam's grasp. Several ancient cultivators watching from a distance noticed that detail. Their expressions became even stranger.

An elderly Dao King narrowed his eyes. The old man looked across the battlefield more carefully. He realized the massacre wasn't random.

Whenever a sufficiently powerful cultivator died, one of Liam's avatars collected the soul almost immediately. Spatial rings, weapons, rare artifacts, and valuable materials were left behind as trash, but the soul was collected instantly. The man's mouth twitched.

Was this bastard looting souls while slaughtering supreme factions in the entire sector? Where did this monster even come from?

He did not have time to think as another Liam appeared in front of him. "Fuck!" The guy's heart dropped, and a moment later, his head dropped to the ground.

A woman holding a Nine-Revolution Soul Lotus immediately threw the vial away as if it had burned her hand. "I don't want it!" She turned and fled. Three Liams appeared in front of her. Her face went white. "I have nothing to do with the Celestial Court!" She died anyway.

Blood rained, and the entire world trembled. Yet no one was able to escape. It did not matter which faction, family, or sect they were from. It looked like everyone gathered here was simply sentenced to death.
