Chapter 2092: Wiping Out The Hideout III
Boom!
A large explosion erupted, followed by a bright light.
Grey’s figure crashed into the mountain, causing a pit almost twelve meters deep. He was not the only one who was affected by the black. The Ninth stage Sovereign puppet was also sent flying, while the Darkness Elementalist puppet was only forced to take a few steps back.
The target of Grey’s attack was the Ninth stage Sovereign, so he was not bothered by the Darkness Elementalist puppet being unaffected by the attack.
The old Gnome clenched his fist with hope when he saw Grey being sent flying. When he inspected the condition of the Ninth stage Sovereign puppet, he tightened his grip so hard until his nails dug into his flesh with blood dripping out. A part of the puppet was gone, looking like a large beast bit the right part of its body. Even though puppets are largely unaffected by injuries, when the injuries get to a certain stage, then the strength of the puppet is also affected. With the current condition of the puppet, it could no longer exert the full strength of a Ninth stage Sovereign. It could only use around sixty-five percent of its strength, which would categorize it among Eighth stage Sovereigns and no longer a Ninth stage Sovereign.
Grey stood up from the pit and wiped the dust on his clothes. His mask had already shattered at this stage of the fight, his clothes were not faring any better either. Raising his head to look at the Darkness Elementalist puppet, he cracked his neck before vanishing from where he stood.
The Darkness Elementalist puppet took an attacking pose, and just as it prepared its attack, Grey’s figure which had appeared not too far from him suddenly switched with the corpse of a Necromancer.
Grey never planned to attack the Darkness Elementalist puppet, just like the last attack, his target was also the new puppet. When he used the space element to teleport close to the Darkness Elementalist puppet, he quickly switched positions with a dead Necromancer not far from the place where the new puppet crashed.
The new puppet was unable to react before Grey blew off the rest of its head with a flaming jetstream attack. He did not forget to destroy the rest of the puppet.
The old Gnome and the Darkness Elementalist puppet reacted only after the new puppet had been dealt with. The sight of this scared the old Gnome. He looked behind him once again, and the survivors who should have escaped were seemingly trapped here, unable to leave. Coming to a quick conclusion, he ignited his life force, and instead of charging in Grey’s direction, he flew the other way, grabbing a Fifth stage Sovereign Gnome in the process, "Come with me."
"A desperate attempt to break through the blockage." Grey scoffed and did not even chase after him. He knew the Darkness Elementalist puppet would stop him under the control of the old Gnome. Besides, he was not even bothered that the old Gnome would succeed.
The old Gnome’s control over the puppet declined significantly as he tried to escape and distanced himself from it.
Grey unleashed a barrage of attacks, and the Darkness Elementalist puppet could barely keep up with him. The puppet, which also seemed to have been in a strengthened state after the hand seals the old Gnome did some minutes back, was starting to show signs of getting weaker. Now Grey understood why the old Gnome resorted to this desperate attempt; the puppet would soon enter a weakened state.
The Darkness Elementalist puppet soon lost its spark and was soon destroyed by Grey.
Panting heavily from the fight, Grey looked in the direction of the old Gnome and saw him trying to break open a hole in Void and the bunny leader’s seal.
Grey took his time to calm down his rapidly beating heart before changing his clothes. To him, without the puppets, the old Gnome was not a threat. And given the technique he saw him use to increase his strength, he knew the old Gnome already had one foot on death’s door.
The old Gnome attacked hysterically, and even when he could see that the seal was not showing any signs of breaking, he still did not stop; he dared not stop.
The voice he never wanted to hear suddenly sounded behind him...
"You should put in more effort, at this rate you won’t be able to break it in a hundred years." Grey commented behind him in a calm manner.
The survivors all turned in fear, legs shaking as they faced off against Grey Dawson.
The old Gnome looked at Grey with eyes filled with confusion, after some time he pointed at the Gnome he held and said, "Let him go and I’ll tell you everything you need to know."
Grey tilted his head to the side and asked, "What gave you the impression I’m in the mood to negotiate with you?"
The Fifth stage Sovereign Gnome who was held by the Gnome felt hopeful when he heard the old Gnome make such an offer, however, his hope was immediately extinguished by Grey’s reply.
"I’m among the higher ups, although I’m not an emissary, my position is just below them and I can tell you a few things." The old Gnome replied, feeling confident he could get Grey to allow this Fifth stage Sovereign to leave. He knew it was impossible for him to beg for his own survival.
Grey laughed when he heard the old Gnome’s words, facing the sky he said, "I didn’t spare even an emissary, you’re no different. In my eyes, every single Gnome in my world is dead, along with the Necromancers." Looking at the old Gnome he stressed, "Every... single... one... of... you."
The hearts of the survivors sank when they heard this, they could all hear the conviction in Grey’s voice, under no account would he allow them to leave this place alive.
