"You don’t know?" Long Hui raised a single eyebrow beneath his mask.

"I only handle the localised operations on this island! I am not privy to the inner circle of the organisation!" Hector Vaughn insisted, gritting his teeth.

"You are lying." Yu Qi stated plainly.

Hector Vaughn’s expression grew incredibly tense. "I am telling the absolute truth!"

"Fine." Yu Qi slowly stood back up to her full height.

Hector Vaughn let out a small, subconscious sigh of relief, foolishly assuming the masked couple had hit a dead end and given up.

Instead, Yu Qi turned her head toward Long Hui.

"Brother Hui..." Yu Qi called out softly.

"Hmm?" Long Hui responded.

"I think our director here needs a little physical encouragement." Yu Qi cast a disdainful glance down at Hector Vaughn.

Long Hui understood her intent instantly. Without a word, he took a single, deliberate step forward.

"No! Stay away from me!" Hector Vaughn shrieked, frantically scrambling backwards across the deck.

Long Hui did not stop. He simply raised one hand toward the sky.

Boom!

A staggering, suffocating mountain of pure spiritual pressure abruptly slammed down onto Hector Vaughn’s body. The concrete deck beneath him cracked slightly under the localised force.

Hector Vaughn felt as though a colossal marble monument had been dropped directly onto his shoulders. His bones creaked, his whole frame violently trembled, and the air was instantly crushed out of his lungs. He could not breathe, could not move, could not even scream.

"Wait! Wait!" Hector Vaughn wheezed out with the absolute last entry of air in his chest.

The crushing gravity vanished as fast as it had arrived.

Hector Vaughn collapsed flat against the ground, gasping heavily and clutching his throat as cold sweat poured down his face.

"You... you monsters..." Hector Vaughn rasped, staring up at Long Hui in sheer horror.

Yu Qi crossed her arms over her chest.

"We have zero interest in torturing you for amusement." Yu Qi stated matter-of-factly.

Hector Vaughn glared up at her suspiciously through his panicked panting.

"We only want actionable intelligence." Yu Qi continued, pausing for effect. "And if you choose to cooperate fully, you will be allowed to live."

Hector Vaughn’s eyes flickered with a sudden, desperate spark of hope. "You... you will let me go?"

"Did I ever say that?" Yu Qi chuckled, a dark, melodic sound.

Hector Vaughn’s hope withered instantly.

"I said you would live. I never promised we would allow you to escape justice." Yu Qi clarified sharply. "You will hand over everything you know regarding the MicroTech Organisation. The key figures pulling the strings, the geographical coordinates of secondary facilities, supply lines, your insider sources within the cultivation world, and the identity of the mastermind who ordered the immortality research."

"Do you really think I would betray the organisation like that?" Hector Vaughn spat, trying to salvage a shred of defiance.

Yu Qi tilted her head, gesturing broadly to the sprawling compound around them.

"You are currently standing entirely alone on an island surrounded by hundreds of your unconscious men. Your security forces have been wiped out without a single shot fired in defence. Your research labs have been breached, your classified archive stripped bare, and your facility ruined beyond repair." Yu Qi stated the situation.

Hector Vaughn’s face turned an even sickly shade of grey.

"Do you honestly believe the organisation is going to swoop in and rescue you?" Yu Qi asked, her words piercing through his remaining denial.

Her soft analysis hit him far harder than any physical blow ever could.

Hector Vaughn slowly lowered his head, staring blankly at the cracked concrete floor. Deep down, he knew she was right. The moment MicroTech executives realised Blackstone Island had been compromised, they would not dispatch an extraction team. They would send a clean-up squad to incinerate every trace of the base. Including him.

"You don’t understand how absurdly powerful MicroTech really is..." Hector Vaughn muttered, his voice hollow.

"Then enlighten me." Yu Qi laughed softly, crouching down to his level once more. "Just how powerful are they?"

Hector Vaughn hesitated for a long moment, internalising his utter defeat before speaking.

"The organisation is not just a rogue research group." Hector Vaughn began quietly.

"I am well aware." Yu Qi nodded.

"There are figures of immense, terrifying influence standing behind the curtain." Hector Vaughn continued.

"Who?" Yu Qi narrowed her eyes beneath her rabbit mask, her focus sharpening. She needed those names.

Hector Vaughn went silent again, agonizing over the line he was about to cross. Yu Qi gave him the space, waiting with calm patience.

Finally, Hector Vaughn squeezed his eyes shut and spoke. "The individual who truly commands MicroTech is not someone you can simply deal with."

"A name." Yu Qi demanded coldly.

Hector Vaughn looked at her.

"I don’t know his true identity or real name. Nobody does." Hector Vaughn shook his head.

"But you possess the means to contact him directly." Yu Qi deduced, her eyes locking onto his.

Hector Vaughn’s jaw tightened before he gave a weak, reluctant nod. "Yes."

"How?" Yu Qi asked again.

"There is an isolated, quantum-encrypted communication relay built into my private terminal. Only senior regional directors hold the clearance protocols to initialise it." Hector Vaughn explained.

Yu Qi glanced up at Long Hui. Understanding her intent instantly, he gave a subtle nod.

"Then you are going to grant us full administrative access." Yu Qi declared.

"No! Absolutely not!" Hector Vaughn’s face paled anew.

"Choose your next words with extreme care." Long Hui warned, taking another ominous step forward.

"You don’t get it! If I initialise that specific channel, the central node will log the connection origin immediately!" Hector Vaughn clenched his fists in frustration.
