Diary of a Dead Wizard

Chapter 1016: Uninhibited and Carefree

Actually, Ann should have been able to sense her master’s approach, but her current state was very poor. Her entire soul body was already on the verge of collapse, and she was still focused on the ground battle situation, which made Ann completely unaware that Saul had just arrived above the great rift.

It wasn’t until Saul’s warm hand grasped Ann’s cold arm that she suddenly realized her long-awaited master had finally appeared!

Ann felt a bit of small excitement, but she was a wizard after all and quickly collected her emotions. “Master, there are close to one hundred anchor point monsters in the great rift currently. The numbers are still increasing.”

The anchor points here had strange combat abilities. Most of them lacked clear consciousness and just recklessly charged around, but due to their own strength and pollution properties that still existed despite being suppressed, they were still difficult to deal with.

Saul wasn’t in a hurry to go down. A hundred suppressed anchor points were completely different from those anchor points in the Abyssal Eye operating at full power—he wasn’t worried.

Rather than clearing out enemies, it would be better to see how the other side was getting through while the anchor point monsters were still increasing.

Saul said to Keli beside him without turning his head, “Hold them off for a while. Don’t worry about the magic crystals—I’m going down to take a look.”

When Saul came to Keli’s side, he had also seen the pitiful magic crystal reserves in the warehouse. To still have this much left under wartime conditions, Keli and the others had really tried their best to conserve.

Keli’s eyes lit up. “Then I won’t hold back.”

When have you ever held back with me?

Saul looked at Keli suspiciously. He didn’t know that because Keli’s magic was very magic-intensive, she had been suppressing her abilities in daily combat and had been frustrated for a long time.

Saul nodded. “I brought a lot of magic crystals this time.”

Still provided free by the Stargate Council.

Keli cried out “Aow!” again, dove headfirst into the bottom of the rift, her entire body turning bronze with a powerful defensive array emanating from her surface, instantly smashing away two anchor point monsters that were besieging Brando.

As soon as she landed, her body emanated a wave of special mental power fluctuations—that was her most powerful magic, “Radiation.”

As the radiation waves spread, the bone army that had been fighting chaotically and individually around the area instantly became like they were injected with adrenaline, with their speed and strength improving by more than one level.

Saul watched Keli’s battle. “She’s also about to advance to the third rank.”

Ann smiled and nodded in agreement. “Yes, combat is the best way to train oneself.”

Saul released Ann’s arm. “I’m going over there. Be careful yourselves.”

After speaking, his figure transformed into a vague black shadow and fell into the deepest part of the rift.

Ann sighed lightly, somewhat regretting that she could no longer advance, but also grateful that she had been rescued from Ralph’s laboratory by Saul back then.

She hurriedly continued meditating, wanting to recover quickly and join the battle below. With Saul here, she no longer needed to suppress herself and could fight with magic to her heart’s content.

But just as she began meditating, Ann discovered that the black tide pollution on her body had completely disappeared!

When Saul had grasped her arm, he had already silently absorbed all the pollution she had accumulated during this period.

“Master’s abilities are becoming more and more powerful. With such strength, even if he goes deep into the Abyssal Eye, there should be no problems, right?”

Ann didn’t rest any longer and immediately jumped down from the cliff wall, running to Brando who was still fighting. “Wizard Brando, go rest first. I’ll hold the line here.”

But Brando laughed “Haha,” his voice creating a muffled echo in his helmet. “No need. When Saul passed by just now, he cleared all the pollution in my body in an instant. Now I just want to have a good fight and relieve the frustration of these past days!”

Ann also smiled brilliantly. Hadn’t Saul’s arrival eliminated everyone’s greatest pressure?

“Then let’s fight side by side and vent properly.”

Ann’s entire figure suddenly grew to three meters tall, and her eight spider legs also lengthened accordingly, each one nearly ten meters long.

The spider legs were sharp as blades and appeared and disappeared like shadows.

“Hey!”

Ann chose a place where anchor point monsters were most concentrated and jumped directly into the monster pile like a spring. Then her body inverted, supporting herself on the ground with both hands in a large spiral spin, her eight legs instantly becoming afterimages that cut the surrounding anchor point monsters directly in half.

Ann supported herself with one hand and flipped back over, looking at the anchor points on the ground that were still moving. Although she knew this kind of attack couldn’t kill the tough monsters, fighting at full power could only be described with one word.

Awesome!

Brando and Keli not far behind were also slaughtering in all directions, each one holding nothing back, completely unconcerned about saving magic crystals for Saul.

This made Shaya on the cliff extremely excited.

“Hey! Can one of you come up and switch with me? I haven’t fought in a long time either!”

Unfortunately, the three people below completely pretended not to hear, leaving Shaya no choice but to helplessly pound the ground.

Saul had cleared the black tide pollution from everyone in the instant he contacted them, so naturally he wasn’t worried about the upcoming battle.

He quickly flew to the membrane where the aperture had originally appeared, but found it was still blocked.

He continued deeper, observing where the anchor point monsters were appearing.

Soon, he discovered that a spatial rift suddenly appeared at the base of the cliff, initially very small—only finger-length—but quickly growing to half a meter long. Then a gray-white skeleton crawled out from inside.

“Not large in size. Those anchor point monsters the size of small mountains in the abyss haven’t come through. Well, they probably couldn’t squeeze through anyway.”

Saul didn’t stop the other from appearing, but waited for the skeleton monster to completely emerge before raising his hand and extending a python-thick tentacle that directly wrapped the monster up like a mummy.

The anchor point that had just emerged from the abyss hadn’t even had a chance to get a good look at this world before it was instantly grabbed by Saul, never having a chance to return. ʀᴇᴀᴅ ʟᴀᴛᴇsᴛ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀᴛ 𝔫𝔬𝔳𝔢𝔩~𝔣𝔦𝔯𝔢~𝔫𝔢𝔱

Soon, the anchor point that had struggled to crawl out was completely pulled into Saul’s space, unable to struggle anymore, and began fusing with the original anchor point.

While waiting for the fusion, Saul saw another rift. However, this rift didn’t take shape—it had just appeared as a small crack when it suddenly collapsed and disappeared.

This was probably why the number of anchor point monsters below the great rift hadn’t surged dramatically.

Even the abyss side couldn’t stably create spatial rifts!

Saul raised his hand and took the anchor point monster from his space.

At this time, the new and old anchor point monsters hadn’t completed their fusion yet. What emerged was still the fused anchor point that had once told Saul to “stop Camus.”

Saul raised his hand and broke off a small horn from the top of the anchor point monster’s head, then threw the remaining part back into his space to let the two anchor point parts continue fusing.

This broken-off small horn was the anchor point that had originally lived on Saul’s index finger for several years. Back then, Camus seemed to have hidden part of it’s consciousness here.

But it had never spoken.

Perhaps it was suppressed by Saul himself, or maybe Camus had withdrawn it’s consciousness.

But if part of Camus’s consciousness had once resided here, then it should also have a connection with Camus on the abyss side.

Connection meant correlation.

Having mastered some spatial abilities, Saul planned to use this connection to go to the abyss once more.

However, this time, he wanted to enter the abyss from the Chaos Realm!
