Chapter 248: 032: Invincible and Below Second Tier
After returning to the Shadow Tower, Lynch immediately began work on the creation of the Alchemy Guardians.
To be precise, this time the creation was of authentic Alchemy Guardians.
The materials used to create Iron Armor Little Treasure before had all been scavenged from Grant’s belongings. Although they were indeed rare and precious magical materials, they differed from the original design, ultimately resulting in a final product significantly distinct from the original version.
The authentic Alchemy Guardian, which had once shone brightly in wars, possessed Wizard Level strength. In contrast, Lynch’s Iron Armor Little Treasure only reached the level of a Great Knight, falling slightly short of the Wizard Level.
This time, however, things were different. With the batch of materials Lynch had acquired from the Magic Power Alchemy Research Institute’s warehouse, he was now able to strictly adhere to the requirements of the design blueprint and create an authentic Alchemy Guardian.
In fact, if he hadn’t been considering practice and not wanting to disrupt the island’s defensive structure, Lynch could have dragged back those Alchemy Guardians buried in the grass heaps on the island. Most of the components were still usable; they were merely out of energy and could be modified for renewed use.
But those things wouldn’t go to waste either. After all, the island had already been earmarked by Lynch as his future magical base. Once the island was revived, those Alchemy Guardians would “awaken” again and resume their duty as its protectors.
Now, back to the creation process.
This time, Lynch created three Alchemy Guardians in one go, each with distinct appearances tailored to the three different forms of Alchemy Guardians.
First, there was the Sky Alchemy Guard, equipped with triangular metallic wings on its back that enabled it to fly. Its primary attack method involved the use of its Elemental Cannon, capable of releasing energy output of around 520 units at a time. A single high-grade Magic Stone, equivalent to ten thousand ordinary Magic Stones, could sustain its combat operations for approximately 30 minutes.
Second, there was the Great Sword Alchemy Guard, focused more on melee combat capabilities. Its three-dimensional attributes averaged around 160. Its primary attack involved using the rune-engraved Great Sword in its hands for close-quarters strikes, with energy output of about 230 units.
Although its single energy output didn’t measure up to the Sky Guardian, it excelled in attack frequency, capable of launching dozens of attacks per minute.
Lastly, there was the Heavy Shield Guard, which Lynch preferred calling “Iron Lump Guardian.” Its entire body resembled an iron barrel crafted from the densest element-mixed metals, with a Constitution coefficient exceeding 300 points.
Additionally, it was outfitted with various defensive runes, providing high resistance enhancements against attacks of various elemental attributes. When its defenses were fully activated, it could withstand at least 800 units of energy damage!
What kind of concept is this…
To put it simply, individual Wizard Level combatants would find it nearly impossible to breach its defenses. To easily take it down would require someone equipped with Mystic Techniques at the Second Tier or above.
One for ranged attacks, one for melee combat, and one for defense!
With these three creations, Lynch’s overall power jumped significantly. Deploying all three at once would give him dominance over any Wizard Level opponent. In other words, in the entire Ancient Ruins, only a scarce few—numbering just dozens—would pose a threat to him now.
“Truly, one cannot grow rich without fortuitous gains!”
As Lynch played with the three exquisitely crafted metallic spheres covered in Mysterious Runes, his joy was unmistakable. Although he had eagerly anticipated the outcomes from this expedition before setting off, the actual harvest far exceeded his expectations!
Each of these Alchemy Creations would, individually, be treasures fought over by Wizards wherever they were placed!
However, Lynch’s ambitions didn’t stop at these. These three Alchemy Guardians were merely appetizers for practice. At present, he even regarded them with a touch of disdain, for before him lay an even more mesmerizing prize—
The Heavy Alchemy Demon Puppet: Destruction!
This was the most powerful entity described in the inherited Alchemy Demon Puppet Diagram from the Magic Power Alchemy Research Institute. It represented the culmination of all combat-related alchemy techniques developed by the institute—a true weapon of war.
Using lengthy descriptors for such a creation was unnecessary. One line of description sufficed—
It was a Third Tier Alchemy Creation.
Third Tier!
At this level, it was unquestionably mighty across the entire Wizard World. Such a creation carried two possibilities: either it served as a backbone of a powerful Wizard Organization, or it belonged to a Witch Master or Guardian who ruled over a Witch Domain.
In the vast Ancient Ruins, only a few individuals—a mere handful—had reached this level. Without exception, they were the ones who dictated the destiny of this land.
If he could get his hands on such a thing…
Lynch could hardly imagine the treatment he’d receive. Would he still be discriminated against due to his origins, unable to make his own choices about his relationships and marriage?
Anyone who dared oppose him—wouldn’t tearing down their entire clan be the least he could do?
Muggle? Pureblood?
Rules wouldn’t be implemented without his nod of approval!
“Calm down! Calm down!”
“The idea is nice, but such feats aren’t achievable overnight. Don’t get ahead of yourself.”
Shaking his head, Lynch forced himself to regain composure.
While the Demon Puppet Destruction was powerful, it was far beyond what he could create at his current capabilities. The knowledge involved was so Mysterious and intricate that it exceeded everything he had learned so far.
In comparison to Earth’s academic system, Lynch was merely at an elementary school graduate level, having just stepped into middle school, whereas the contents required for creating the Demon Puppet were levelled at university standards.
“The road ahead is long and winding; slow and steady wins the race.”
As long as he relentlessly pursued knowledge and exploration, one day—without doubt—he would reach the shores of ultimate understanding!
…
In the blink of an eye, several months passed. Time moved into the late summer of the current year.
The forest fairies had grown into a considerable community through years of development, and apprentices entering the forest often saw them bustling about the woods. That once-nameless forest now had a new moniker—the Fairy Forest.
This time of year marked the busiest period for the fairies, as Wizards prepared for a grand bonfire celebration during the last week of summer. The honey wine brewed by the fairies was an indispensable delicacy for the event.
The day before the gathering began, Avery, whom Lynch hadn’t seen in a long time, arrived at his manor. The Summer Festival held particular importance for Wizards, especially young Wizards—
According to ancient tradition, male and female Wizards would celebrate jubilantly after the rituals. During these celebrations, they would remove their clothing and dance around bonfires, engaging in mating rituals that lasted until the third morning.
The cauldrons filled with food were prepared with Magic Potions to induce lust and enhance physical stamina, meant to replenish energy if anyone grew weary midway.
This tradition reportedly originated in the early stages of Wizard history when Wizards as a group were weak and had low reproductive rates. To expand their numbers, they adopted these rather radical measures.
Interestingly, the tradition still persisted in some Witch Domains, primarily those of Black Wizard Organizations. In such places, matters of intimacy were seen as trivial as eating a meal—spontaneously and without inhibitions.
However, within the Shadow Tower, a bastion of order, such absurd practices were absent. The post-festival “rituals” here were more a moment of emotional gestures between enamored young male and female Wizards—akin to Earth’s Valentine’s Day—and reflected the mainstream ideology of the Wizard World.
Of course, the Wizard World is vast, and differing perspectives and ideologies abound. While some places treat mating as routine, others even regard seeing a potential partner’s face as forbidden—a stark contrast.
In any case, that evening, Avery arrived at Lynch’s manor.
She wore a new ceremonial gown and teasingly smiled at Lynch, asking, “What do you think of my new gown? Does it look good?”
“Or perhaps…”
Pausing briefly, she flashed a flirtatious grin. “Does it look better if I don’t wear anything at all?”
Well,
What else was there to say?
Lynch promptly walked over and swept her up—gown and all—onto the bed…
