Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me

Chapter 552: You're A Player?

Daniel decided to ignore them for now and focused his attention on the priests.

He slowly flew toward them.

"Don't let him get close!" one of the priests shouted, but his voice trembled.

Golden light rippled around them, but Daniel was no longer there.

In the blink of an eye, he appeared right behind them.

[Bloody Shadow Dance] had been activated again.

His sword flashed through the air, and before a single priest could react, the sound of flesh and fabric being torn echoed through the air.

A streak of golden blood scattered in the air, and one of the priests fell with wide, lifeless eyes.

Three other priests screamed at once and activated [Faith Resonance] for the second time.

The ground trembled, and the golden light shone so brightly that its radiance could even be seen from beyond the city gates.

Twelve beams of light shot toward Daniel, but he slowly raised his sword and said,

"In front of the law of death, everything is meaningless."

With a soft swing, his sword cut through the air and the dark aura surrounding it spread wide.

[Strike of Destruction].

The collision between the aura and the beams of light caused the sky itself to crack.

The lights collapsed one after another, and fragments of gold fell like burnt dust.

Three of the priests raised their hands and activated their combined skill,

[Sun Burial Field].

The ground and sky began to glow together, the temperature rose, and the golden light turned into a massive sphere of heat and faith.

But Daniel smiled.

While he stood glowing in the middle of the light, shadows rose beneath his feet like the horns of a demon.

"Interesting. Time to try something new," he whispered.

[Requiem of the Moon]

The world grew darker, and a phantom moon appeared in the sky, a symbol of calm yet absolute death watching over the battlefield.

The silver moon shone above the field, casting a cold and quiet light on Daniel's body.

For a brief moment, the priests felt something inside them, something pulling at their faith itself.

It was as if the moon was devouring their souls.

Daniel moved.

In an instant, he appeared in front of one of the priests and gently drove his sword into the man's heart.

No light. No explosion.

Just silence.

The priest looked down in disbelief at the blade piercing his chest.

The glow from his body faded, and he fell, like a candle snuffed out by the wind.

The rest of the priests froze in horror when they saw one of their own die, but that only made them more desperate to survive.

Daniel pulled the sword out. Drops of blood floated in the air and turned into black dust.

"As I said, it's time to end this."

Two of the priests activated their combined skills, [Saint's Fury] and [Light of Penance], at the same time.

But with a swift spin, Daniel activated [Eyes of Destruction]; black rays burst from his eyes and collided with the wave of light, creating a massive explosion.

The air pressure was so great that the clouds split apart, and the ground beneath the temple shook.

One priest was blown out of the sky from the impact.

Another tried to heal himself, but the light meant to restore him burned through his body from within.

Amid the smoke and blazing light, Daniel's slow footsteps echoed.

With each step, the aura of death spread wider, while the golden halos of the priests faded one by one.

"Have you ever tested your faith on the edge of death?" Daniel said quietly.

"The God of Light will not abandon us!" one of the priests shouted.

But before he could finish his sentence, Daniel appeared right in front of him.

He grabbed the man by the throat.

The golden light around the priest's body began to flicker.

"God?" Daniel smirked coldly.

"If your god was here, he'd be the first to run."

He hurled the priest with force. The man crashed into the ground a few meters away, the sound of his bones cracking echoing through the air.

Out of twelve priests, only five remained.

Their breathing was ragged, their golden halos dimming.

And Daniel?

He hadn't even used Mana Healing yet. These fools hadn't even managed to make him use that skill.

"You're not human!"

"I'm getting tired of hearing that," Daniel muttered as a massive wave of death aura burst outward, and suddenly—

Boom!

A fierce wind swept across the empty sky.

The golden light that had once covered the heavens was now gone.

The bodies of the twelve priests lay broken on the ground.

Everything was silent, only Daniel's calm breathing could be heard in the stillness.

He lowered his sword, The Heavens Honor.

His lips were bloodied, but his eyes were calm.

The halo of the moon circled around him, silver and bright, while the dust of death floated around his body like dim stars.

"Now it's your turn," he said quietly, turning his gaze to the three who were still standing and staring at him in fear.

Strangely, they hadn't attacked him at all. From the beginning to the end, they had just stood there, never interfering in the battle.

They hadn't even tried to run away, and that made him pause for a moment, unable to guess their true purpose.

Especially the girl standing in the middle. She stared at him coldly, but in her eyes, he saw both caution and unease.

Why didn't they act? Could it be…? A sudden thought crossed his mind.

"What's your phase two?"

"You're... a player?" the girl asked suddenly, her tone cold but confused, as if she couldn't believe what she had just heard.

All this time, she had assumed this man was someone from this world, a native, part of the tower's floor, not a player.

But it seemed she had been wrong. In fact, they all had.

"Surprised? Answer my question. Depending on your answer, you might live... or die."
