Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me

Chapter 553: Phase Three

The young girl — or rather, Sophia, looked at the two young men beside her with a bit of hesitation and doubt, not knowing how to answer that question.

She hadn't expected their enemy to be a player, especially such a powerful one. With that kind of power, how was he still only on the third floor? With such strength, he should already be on the fourth or fifth.

Still, complaining wouldn't help at this point. She had to face reality. In other words, they had to decide whether they would answer the question or not.

But on second thought, did they even have the right to choose? If they said no, they would definitely die. She doubted that monster would let them go.

"Our second phase is to kill the Grand Priest," she sighed and told the truth.

"What about the other three?" Daniel frowned, referring to the three people he had killed.

"No, theirs was about protecting the Crimson Temple. Since killing the Grand Priest and guarding the temple didn't conflict much, we agreed to cooperate," Sophia replied.

"We'll see," Daniel nodded and lowered his sword. Since these three had no direct hostility toward him, there was no need to kill them and cause unnecessary casualties.

He turned toward the temple and stared down at it from above. His spiritual senses suddenly expanded with force and covered the entire temple.

"You're planning to destroy it?" one of the two young men beside Sophia asked curiously.

"That's right. Do you know where the Grand Priest is?"

"We don't know exactly. He just said he had to go deep inside the temple to find a way to save everyone from this disaster," Sophia thought for a moment before answering.

"He probably went to talk to that god." Daniel laughed and didn't care. He was fairly sure that even if that god was the same buried one, it couldn't possibly have its full power anymore.

At worst, it might be rank S. As long as it wasn't beyond that, Daniel had plenty of ways to deal with it.

"Wait, that god actually exists? I thought it was just a lie," one of the young men asked in disbelief. The other two also looked clearly shocked.

"They're worshiping a real god, but he's wounded and not in his prime. Don't worry, and don't interfere," Daniel replied, then ignored them.

He raised his sword and aimed at the temple. A powerful aura filled with death erupted from the blade's tip and spread through the entire area.

Even the surrounding void began to tremble, showing signs of collapse.

The three of them quickly retreated upon feeling that terrifying aura so they wouldn't be affected or injured.

At the same time, Daniel brought his sword down. The overwhelming and oppressive power rushed toward the temple. The power of faith awakened to block the attack, but it was useless.

The golden protective layer shattered completely and disappeared, turning entirely into ashes.

The attack continued its advance toward the temple, finally reaching it, and suddenly—

Boom!

A massive explosion shook the heavens and the earth. Pieces of the temple scattered everywhere, and the magnificent structure collapsed completely.

The entire temple was destroyed in one strike, reduced to ashes, leaving nothing behind. Smoke and dust filled the air.

It didn't take long for the smoke and dust to settle, revealing the aftermath of the attack—a ruined temple burning in flames, with nothing left intact.

"Looks like I finally did it." Daniel smiled, half-expecting something or someone to appear out of nowhere to stop him.

Fortunately, nothing happened this time, and he could finally relax.

[Phase Two completed successfully.]

[Congratulations on completing the second phase of the third floor.]

[Phase Three , the final phase , begins.]

[Phase Three : Kill or seal the Buried God.]

Several notifications appeared in front of him. Daniel glanced at them, and when he saw the final phase, a twisted grin appeared on his face.

Just as he thought, the final boss of this floor was going to be a god. He sighed, unsure of how to feel about it.

He had suspected he might face the Buried God, but he hadn't really expected his prediction to actually come true. After all, this was a god!

Gods sit at the very top of existence and power, above everything else. Nothing is stronger than them.

Even if they are severely weakened and only possess a millionth of their true power, that's still not something an ordinary mortal could ever handle.

However, Daniel was different. Though he had hoped it wouldn't come to fighting a god, he wasn't particularly afraid. Besides, maybe it would be exciting, maybe this god could finally make him use his full strength.

"The temple is really gone," Sophia said coldly as she and the other two looked at the ruins. Their faces showed a trace of uncertainty.

They thought the Grand Priest would appear and stop something like this from happening, but it seemed they had overestimated him.

"So what will you do now?" Sophia's cold gaze landed on Daniel as she asked, mostly worried that this monster might suddenly attack them.

But Daniel completely ignored her. He frowned slightly, staring into the depths beneath the temple's ruins. He could sense a powerful aura being released.

It didn't feel divine or godlike, but it was strong, extremely close to rank S. In fact, it could be considered rank S, though something about it felt incomplete, something that kept it from fully reaching that level.

"What the hell is that?" The three of them felt the aura as well, and one of the young men spoke nervously, his body trembling from the pressure.

"Fall back!" Sophia suddenly felt something and shouted coldly.

But it was too late. A massive force filled the sky as a gigantic hand emerged from the ruins, reaching to grab all four of them.

Daniel and Sophia managed to dodge, but the two young men were caught. The hand squeezed tightly, crushing them like balloons.

Powerful rays of energy radiated from the giant hand, distorting space and the surrounding void.

"Haha! So this is divine power! Now I'm invincible!" a deep, aged voice echoed as an old yet majestic figure slowly rose from the depths of the temple.

Daniel and Sophia frowned, staring at the figure. Of course, it was none other than the Grand Priest.
